95% of people don't have any direct issue with bikies. My uncle is a real estate agent and they rent a warehouse from him, he has never had any issue with their club house, as far as he knows nothing illegal happens there, they pay the rent on time, sometimes throw a little extra and no other warehouse in the vicinity complains about them.

Let's be real here, 90% of the drugs we get on the street originate from the bikies, and generally they don't harrass any members of the public.

Drug offender tells court of bikie intimidation

An Adelaide man found guilty of importing chemicals used to make illicit drugs has told the District Court he organised more shipments because of intimidation from a motorcycle gang.

Cuong Quoc Nguyen, 29, was found guilty of importing and attempting to possess six kilograms of ephedrine, which is used to make the drug known as ice.

Police intercepted the shipment at Adelaide Airport in October 2008.

The investigation led police to a drug laboratory in a karaoke bar in Hindley Street in the city, where Nguyen worked.

He has now pleaded guilty to subsequent similar offending over the importation of a different precursor.

Nguyen told the court an outlaw motorcycle gang offered him drugs and cash to help import chemicals the gang could use to make amphetamines.

He said he was looking for a way to pay off a drug debt.

Nguyen will be sentenced later.​

^ an inner city karaoke bar strikes me as a strange place for a meth lab. then again, maybe there is no such things as a 'strange place for a meth lab' these days.

Pretty sure I've been to that karaoke bar they mention in the article. Wouldn't have guessed it featured a meth lab.

I have thought that to myself in the past though...you'd think if a well organised gang really wanted someone dead, they'd be dead.
 
^ intimidation is one of the most powerful tools of any organised crime culture.
shot four times and killed your son? doesn't get much more intimidating than that. pretty intense.

Yeah 90% of our cut to shit local methamphetamine and probably a bunch of the shitty pills probably originate from bikies, YAY for them. Seriously, I don't have a great deal of experience dealing with Bikies but I have bought meth off them and it was generally average to shitty, out here atleast they have a bit of a reputation for selling crappy drugs and expecting that not many people are going to have a great deal fo complaints about. Granted its mainly one or two clubs I am talking about personally and neither are one of the major ones but still, to say Bikies are great I just don't see as a very logical statement unless your one or your in cahootz with them for some reason (not accusing you of shit btw, just saying in general their impact on the community is probably negative).

The report poledriver linked on the last page suggests they are involved in extortion, fraud, illegal prostitution and organised theft, how exactly is any of that generally not harrasssing members of the public? Yeah, if they don't have anything to gain from someone they probably aren't going to raise their profile by fucking with them for nothing, if they think they can squeeze a good bit of cash out of you? You better believe they fuck with the public when it suits them... You don't honestly believe they only believe in making a buck out of other crooks do you? LOL

Which area is this if you don't mind me asking? In Sydney and its surrounding suburbs, there is far too much competition for the bikies to be dealing with crap/ cut shit. The guy I grab from works for a prominent club in Sydney and their stuff has been the best going around (for MDMA that is) and their meth is unmatched.

I am not a bikie nor am I involved with them (I know you're not accusing me) but they generally extort people that are dealing with proceeds from crime. For example, the pot runners in my area pay to the bikies every week a percentage, in turn they supply them with the pot, remove any competition and provide general protection. If one does get caught, all legal expenses are paid for, and will recieve a payout once they are released/ served their time.
 
Don't really know what to think of bikies in general...any opinion I have is drawn from very little personal experience with them.

I did notice when the 'new boys' first started to surface that meth quality went up pretty dramatically. Gotten pills from people that are from 'bigger' more notorious bikie gangs and they were pipes every time.
 
i just like to say Azn Pride Yo. (not being racist here) but,

While the bikers are causing drama attracting media and police attention, I bet the Asian Triads/gangs/crime syndicates are laughin' their ass off. Thinking, yeb yeb keep on drawing attention to your selfs, while the Triads fly low wayyy under the radar and eat the whole pie and then some ;)
