Yar, phens stay good for eternities or so they say.

The best dessicant is a small elf constantly sucking up air insyde yer vials. Trust mee :)

^Silica is used in many different stuffs as dessicant; often with things like vitamins, some foods etc. I just use them lil packs as dessicant.

So if I take a packet, stick it in with the powder (which will have the air sucked out of it as much as possible, and double bagged again) and then put into the amber vials the phens should be fine?

Where would I find the Silica packets? Are they an online thing, or a vitamin store type thing?

For fucks sake, Thizzer, you're working with 2C-B and DOM, not methoxy-unstabilamine. Calm down... (If you'd like me to do a thorough analysis on the stability of those compounds though, i would be more than happy to help, just give me a sample of each)

If i had those, i'd be storing them at room temperature with all my other phens and psychedelic amphetamines. Dry phens and psychedelic will outlive you. Sealed containers at room temperature or lower, you'll be fine. Again, these are very stable compounds

Tryptamines are the twitchy ones on storage, and nearly all of them are stable for years at room temperature protected from light and humidity.

As soon as you store things in solution, things get less certain (particularly for trypts - I know 4-AcO-DMT turns brown and goes toshit when you store it in soln at room temp).

Jeez bud, think you're the one who needs to calm down here. 8)

Thanks for the help though, and thank you everyone else for doing it in a polite manner.

Ok, I see.

But would you be able to store tryptamines for a long period of time (and how long would you say?) without any loss in pontency in the fridge?

Well there´s always some degradation but I´m storing several tryptamines and phenetylamines in a freezer for at least one year and they are in perfect condition. I stored 4-HO-MET for more than 6 months at about 20°Celsius in a dark box and it didn´t lose any of its potency.

Hi everyone,

still have some LSD here from last year that I left untouched due to several reasons. Wrapped it in foil, put it in one of those black film canisters and left it in my fridge. Didn't vacuum seal it.

Is it possible to tell how large the chance for loss of potency is? Don't want to end pissed off in summer, when I suddenly feel the need to trip :).

Blotter Storage - your personal experiences

So I know how to store it, standard erowid101, etc...

I still find this to be a seriously gray area so I want to hear your personal experiences
IE - how long you stored it , how, were the effects the same, anything you want to add, etc

Personally - I have always stored in foil, baggie, fridge just like the Dr orders
( now use a wine fridge as it is not as cold, less chance of moisture)

Anyhow - using this method I have stored some good quality tabs for 8 months and still got a quality trip, pretty much as good as when I first got them

on the flip side - I have had okay tabs that I took 3 months later and got nothing more than a body high that felt a bit anxious and nothing like when I first had them

fingers crossed for 2 yrs and I still made cloud art for 6 hrs.

hope there is no light in the fridge, also i find bags are more permeable to air than jars.

is tinfoil wraped tabs in a jar good enough, or do i need another barrier to advoid moisture? ive had tabs for only a month wraped in tin, in room temp dark box. was the same imo.

blotter ->tinfoil -> plastic baggie -> jar -> freezer. All steps followed in that order, good for 6 years so far and counting. This can include the occasional day where jar wasn't put back in freezer or where blotters relocate.

yeah man i put mine in the basement where it's nice and cool and they're the same as when i bought them

I keep mine in foil, then little glass jar, then baggie, then baggie, and my whole stash box is one of those waterproof airtight boxes for kayaking and stuff like that.

I find glass jar inside of a ziplock baggie is a really good way to keep moisture out of things.

that was the post I was looking for!

what is the longest you have stored and still felt they were equally as good as when you first go them?

I'm going to stash away a sheet for a rainy day and intend to wrap in paper, then place in a vacuum bag and finally use a air sucker contraption to suck out the air. It will then be placed in a small box and placed in a fridge.
