The Big & Dandy Solo Trip Thread

Has anyone who is experienced with psycs ever tried meditating before tripping solo? If so have you found it to have any efect on the outcome of the trip?
 
all you need for a solo trip is a lack of external stimuli and a bed or a clean floor and a cushion for meditation. After a long night of tripping a sunrise is beyond words. If you want music The Mars Volta, Aphex Twin, or classical guitar are choice.
 
I'm not brave enough to go wandering around outside while tripping...Maybe on the come up or come down, but not alone without a sitter. 8o who knows what I'd do while peaking.

In house alone tripping requires

ipod- hours of music, not to mention the lights. as far as music I'm really looking forward to listening to some perpetual groove for my next trip. But making a 'chill out' play list with calm peaceful music can be awesome and can help if it gets too intense.

fresh fruit or fruit juice- no explanation needed

toys or things that flash or glow or make noises anything that'd entertain your average child.

some ganja and if you smoke cigs you better stock up before dropping anything. Nothing worse than running out of cigarettes mid-trip and having to find money and a ride and trying to remember what your doing the entire time but keep forgetting every time you walk into a different room.

good movies and having good friends a phone call away. Especially good friends who wouldn't mind babysitting or keeping a babbling idiot company for a few hours.
 
a good towel, lol.

really, a nice, warm, comfy towel, that you can vomit into if necessary, or wrap yourself in if necessary. that and a barf-bag are all I usually keep handy. I never leave home (unless I'm completely blacked-out senseless).

I've never taken lsd, or any psychs for that matter, other than 2c-i.

However my first psychedelic experience with alone with around 20mg of 2c-i. As I was peaking I took my dog on a walk around the neighborhood and over to a nearby lake, and it was possibly the most amazing experience I've ever had. Can't wait to do it again over the summer.

I'd say the only things necessary for solo trips are:
plenty of water
food
xanax (just incase)
music
entertainment (for me, playing rb6 vegas2 on xbox live while coming down from 2c-i was extremely entertaining. I enjoyed laughing at what other people were saying/doing, and just getting into the game)
 
i tripped alone today. frolicked in the forest. the tab wasnt as strong as i had hoped, and i definetly have the acid mindset. but very little visuals. colours were brighter T+2 after smoking a jay, i felt warm and euphoric. :)
bubbles were a fantastic idea! i listened to beatles, pink floyd. i observed nature and myself. but still would have liked more :!
i have had a great day though, i just went for a bike ride and that was also quite fun.
 
Iv noticed that while tripping alone I need more because I really dont have that interaction to gauge just how far down the rabbit hole I actually have gone.
 
I actually tried LSD for the first time by myself and it was 3 hits of really good shit too, some of the best I've ever had. (before people criticize me, I understand this is for harm reduction but I'm just explaining how I went about trying psychedelic drugs) It was also my first time ever trying a psychedelic other than weed or salvia. I would say its a good idea as long as you have absolutely everything you need and you go into the situation with an absolutely positive outlook on the coming experience. I went into it with the best mood in the world and had the best time of my life...just my two cents..

I think you'll love it. From the sound of it, you react to acid a similar way to me- i get quite deep/introspective rather than just laughy and silly. And I also handle anxiety well. I was a bit worried the first time taking acid by myself but it ended up really perfect- possibly one of my favourite ways to take it. You can just do what you want, when you want, with whatever music you want. You don't have to worry about weird vibes between people or compromising on things. However I think you have to be the type of person that enjoys their solitude and own company- otherwise you might get bored after a while and want somebody to bounce ideas off. I'm a bit of a loner though so I love doing it by myself.

I've done acid about ten times now and every one of them has been alone... lol, I should be asking "what's it like to take LSD with people (real ones)".

It can be great, with people you know, love and trust. You can still learn and grow from group trips, although the introspective aspects of the drug tend to be downplayed somewhat, especially if you're all collapsing in a fit of uncontrollable giggling. Can be awesome to just bounce your thoughts and feelings off each other, provided they are all positive ones...and discussing the negative ones can also occur. The positive naturally being the preferable types of thoughts and feelings of course.



That being said, if I'm in a social trip setting, I'd prefer it to be around 3 other people, maybe 4. Anything else can just get hectic. That being said too, outdoor psytrance parties are fun 'cos just about everybody is tripping on something...but I'm usually too busy dancing to worry about too much social interaction.

I find I also tend to differ my intent in my trips, at parties and festivals it's majorly a social occurrence. And every once in a while I like to stay home in the dark, have a hit or two and see how far some music can take me.
 
I prefer tripping alone. I feel bad that I get agitatedly bothered by my friends when they try to talk to me on acid. They don't understand why I do it alone and think that I'm a killjoy for that. They're always asking me to do it with them and I'm always declining. I'll do it with friends if we're going to a show or something, and then I'll party all night with them. But I know they take it for much more recreational reasons than I do. Tripping alone is what it's all about.
 
I've really come to like solo tripping recently; not having to worry about social interaction or how other people in the group are handling their acid is good. I get to do what I want, work on things I want to and ponder whatever issues are bothering me.

Every trip is like a psychedelic vacation I look forward to, blasting off from reality and then coming back softly...
 
Ive tripped on a couple of hits of acid by myself at my house...

It was one of my more powerful trips, i like to talk while tripping... but in the absense of someone i ended up writting... bad handwritting, the lines werent staying very still...

but it is nice not having anyone to worry about...
 
wow this is the oldest thread ever!

yeah I've had some very enjoyable solo trips, completely free of social awkwardness that go's with psychedelics. Very introspective. My most memorable trips were with small groups 2-4 people and somewhere outdoors.
