^^ Gempro 250 is great in my experience. I find weighing a gel cap and then adding the amount desired seems to yield more accurate results.

Most cheap Chinese milligram scales won't even register anything until at least 5-10mg is measured out.

A good "trick, is to add say something that weighs 100mg (for sure now), then add any RC, chemical, w/e to the scale. I've had much success doing so. Instead of being 5-10mg accurate, it will now be 1-2mg, sometimes up to 3mg (in rare situations) in terms of accuracy. Much better no? :)

This is purely in the interest of harm-reduction. So to all of you who own one of those cheap $20 milligram scales, add something of a known weight but do NOT tare it. Simply add your powder next to your "weight" and deduct the weight of the "weight" to get a more ACCURATE reading (I've had my scale working the way it was meant to work, accurate to THE milligram -no joke!)

Just bought a gempro 250 from save on scales. $175 usd shipped. I'll try to remember to post impressions once it arrives.

Having fun with some RC's and while I want to get high I don't want to die. 8)

So this is my attempt at being responsible.

I bought myself a set of gempro 250's and they have worked wonderfully, no problems and I have had them for about 7 months now.

I wish now looking back that I had invested in the scales before anything else, its lovely being able to actually weigh your 2C-E dosages :P

Would a cheap 0.001g scale do for weighting out say 100mg for mixing with liquid?

I plan on doing the same thing for 2C-I.

I currently have this:

Gram Precision Diablo FP-50 Professional Digital Mini Scale, 50g x 0.01g

but for 100mg would I be better off getting this ?:

American Weigh Gemini-20 Portable Milligram Scale, 20 by 0.001 G

I know the AWG is hardly recommended, but it is quite cheap, but if it is not an improvement for 100mg I'll try to cancel the order...

EDIT: oh well, it just shipped. hopefully it will be a little better!

I'm planning to weigh out some 2c-p and other RC chemicals that are going to be weighed out in doses around 8mg+. I am curious if anyone could help me out with finding some scales that would be inexpensive yet suitable for this option. Could anyone help? Preferably scales that aren't too large in size.

I'm willing to use Ebay if anyone can give me some advice on what sort of scales to look for and as long as it will be reliable.

Thanks

The AWG scale is OKAY for that... but 2C-P I would recommend getting a GemPro250... its well worth the 170 bucks. It has a levelling bubble, a windshield, the legs adjust so you can make sure its flat, comes with a weighing tray and a weighing cup plus runs on both AC and battery power.

i have no personal experince with that scale but im guessing its not much different than other cheapo chinese made scales.

It should work fine for weighing things like 2c's but dont go trying to weigh DOx's or other substances that require a dose of less than 10mg. For that weigh out a larger amount and make a solution.

You were right. It was a piece of shit. After some mishaps i figured out it can be up to 10mg off at any given time which is alot of 2c-x... to be off by!

Getting a new scale. Any Ideas? Im looking for something reliable under $300. ANyone know about these two? I like the windscreen with the tree@!!

^ A lot of people such as myself have been praising the GemPro-250.

It's a little cheaper than $200 at saveonscales.com

If you try something different let us know how it goes as there isn't a lot of info on other higher-end scales since most people seem to be either getting cheapos or GemPro-250s.

The windscreen is cool but could be a bit bulky. The gemPro-250 has a small flippable windscreen that is useful, probably not as good as the Tree's windscreen though.

I just got a new GP250... And I have to send it in. Its not accurate AT ALL on the 1mg setting but perfectly accurate on the 2mg setting. NOT PLEASED. My other one was so accurate it would pick up as little as 2mg on the tray as long as the tray wasn't on the scale at the time.

how about Acculab VIC-123. Any experience?

Not worth the money. Very accurate but drifts easily... Honestly you could just get an old generation lab balance from eBay for cheap... these are microgram balances...

It measures a 1g weight (that's not a high quality one anyway) at 1.0008mg... not bad accuracy at all. Needs some cleanup from corrosion but honestly, that's a steal for a microgram balance. Just set your shit on a tray... this is a real professional scale...

Honestly, any of those would be great - you're not looking for the kind of accuracy you need with research chemicals so any of them would work.

EDIT: And please don't SWIM on Bluelight.

That's not a microgram balance but just an ordinary analytical balance with an accuracy of 0.1mg. At $78 that's a really good deal.
