but if you add lye too quickly or especially if you add the water to the NaOH, it can splatter from the heat released.

I meant, once it is sealed tight and you are shaking it/rolling it around.

Yeah leave it on you dont want any naphta evaporating out of the jar (probably not THAT much of a loss of yield but still good to do). Also I wouldnt worry too much about the consistensy.
 
just a couple minutes is fine if your bark is powdered.

and remember, DO NOT SHAKE once the naptha is in the jar, or you will get an emulsion

did you practice extracting water/naptha like i told you to?

so he only need to let the bark/sodium hydrox/water sit for a few minutes??

and also what happens if an emlusion occurs?
 
good job listening to my advice. why didn't you use a milk jug?

edit: yes it will hurt if you add extra naptha, because it will be less concentrated with DMT, and will not freeze precipitate.
 
I usually let the lye+water+bark mixture set for atleast an hour.. and giving it a nice little shake every now and then
 
it will make the product a little dirty, but you may be able to separate it from the dmt crystals after you freeze precip. remember that lye water is very bad for your skin and eyes.
 
how much of the dmt is usually in the first pull? the majority of it? and also its FUCKING hard to get the naptha out...he couldnt get the last lil bit out, i watched him

top and middle jar he broke it down into 2 jars

and the third jar he said he rush cuz his mom was comin home

Adding NaOH to water is exothermic, it gives off heat to the surrounding environment. No big deal, just add lye slowly.

I'm not trying to come off as mean in any way, but you gotta do the extraction at a time when you're not having to work around parents and stuff. You can hurt yourself extracting so don't rush it. I'm not kidding-- you need to be organized, calm, collected, ready to work nimbly, and be able to problem-solve your way out of any random accidents that may or may not happen while you're working. Its really hard to do that when you're worrying about parents and trying to rush the extraction so you can get high sooner.
 
Also you should have some idea what you are doing before you start the extraction. No offense but I feel as if you are asking to be spoonfed information here and you're Already in the middle of the extraction, which is terrible terrible practice man.

Do some more research on how the extraction works and why each step..Is each step.

Just put those fucking jars in the freezer or evaporate off the naptha and see what you've got :)
