fripp and eno - evensong, first first time i ever heard this song was on a 7g mushroom trip peak. needless to say it changed my life. i had never heard of fripp before that, only through king crimson, which is great, but nothing like this. he has become one of my favorite guitar players over night, along with john john mclaughlin.

Favorite three are probably Delorean, Mimosa and Flying Lotus.

then probably Heyoka, The Mars Volta and Black Moth Super Rainbow.

I've found though that the best music to listen to when tripping is mush from your past, it makes introspection so much more physical and emotional, because it involves more of your senses.

the new trentemoller xlr8r podcast is also superb for it - trippy psychedelic rock thats slightly re-edited with electronica, mixed with downbeat techno - free to download here and probably already my mix of the year (i am not trentemoller in case you wonder - this isnt self promotion

I feel compelled to second this.

gotta get some beatles and Jefferson airplane in there if you don't already, alo velvet undergrund is pretty cool while high

Truckin' Up To Buffalo:

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

Enjoy! :D <3

its fun to take your ipod and plug your headphones in, but not all the way. it makes everything sound trippy:)

Infected Mushroom?

Another great FSOL album is Lifeforms. It's like a journey through some biomechanical (or should that be geomechanical?) alien world. Mellow for the most part.

I reckon the Aphex Twin song Milkman would be hilarious aswell, if you're up for a laugh.

LSD fave album- Sgt. Lonely Pepper by the beatles of course! pffft.

Shroomin- well my boyfriend has this hole hours long playlist but I really enjoy sphongle when he puts 'em on.

DXM- Enigma. Oh my god Enigma is awesome, so deep and fantastic. Pantyraind was fun too (:

Lots of musical influence from the b/f... He trips a lot (:

Had a nice night in the company of some 5meo mipt and

Dj Shadow and Cut Chemist - Hooked on Atari (album - the hard sell encore)

uu, and lets not forget Led Zeppelin IV - When the levee breaks

So much.... usually what I like to listen to while tripping depends on what I like at the time. There are some constant staples though:

Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin IV, Physical Graffiti
Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon
Radiohead: OK Computer
Interpol: Turn On the Bright Lights
Chopin: Ballades 1 +4, Nocturnes, Piano Sonata 3, Prelude op. 28 no. 15
Rachmaninoff: Piano Concertos 1 + 2, Prelude in C sharp minor, various Preludes op. 23 + 32

As of late, Tame Impala, Deerhunter, The Strokes, and a couple other bands.

Hey guys, just a reminder to you all to come and vote in the Best song of 2010 poll

- there's 12 songs to choose from - Please give each of them a listen before you cast your vote (there's youtube links to all the songs in the first post of the thread :) )

Depends on the drug, the environment you're taking it in, and whether you want a relaxing introspective trip or an outgoing energetic one.

Some favourites of mine include:
- 1200 Mics
- Ozric Tentacles
- Infected Mushroom
- Sphongle
- Grateful Dead
- Sublime
- The Beatles
- Jimi Hendrix
- Pink Floyd
- Carlos Santana
- Gong
- The Vines
- Bob Marley
- Chemical Brothers
- The Doors
- Jefferson Airplane

straight jam band music, electronic music, 90's rap (anything with a piano sample and a solid drum beat from brooklyn), bluegrass music, jazz, blues, post-rock is always epic, some classical, anything accept for shit that gets played on the radio. I mean seriously if you listen to popular music... theres really no hope for you

Kaya Project
"...& So It Goes"

Just absolutely glorious! Only one I have but reviews indicate all his albums are stellar... very ecstatic mix of rock and middle eastern and symphonic and elecrtonic. Passionate to the max.

Hey -- another Kaya Project fan! I knew I wasn't the only one the tripped the fuckkkkkkkkk out on that music. Man. It's perfect. Divine.

I've yet to listen to the album you mention. My experience with Kaya Project is solely their final masterpiece, "Desert Phase".

I'm waiting till I get another opportunity to drop a solid dose of LSD to listen to "& So It Goes". :)
