Bad Brains
i against i

A blend of punk, reggae, blues, powerpop... this is one fierce record. Musically deeply multilayered and surprisingly intensely melodic, by turns crunchy, passionate, blistering, soaring, tender, ecstatic and back again. Whoa, a feat of composition and musicianship unparalleled and unequaled by anyone since, totally unique and totally addictive... I guarantee once you hear this you will be obsessed with playing it over and over trying to figure out just how these 3-4 minute slices of musical perfection manage to grab you and make you feel so many things so strongly and completely.

While not the usual mellowness one might expect from a tripping tunes list, this one will make your scalp tingle and your hair stand on end, and you will come out of it with a fierce determination to use every ounce of your positive karma and inner warrior to battle the evil meemies of the planet and spread the vibe of cosmic love power.

eMusic and many other places have enough in their samples to fascinate and hook you with only 30-60 seconds... check it out and I'm sure you will HAVE to get the full record. And then you will wonder how you lived without it. It's that good, kids.

i love Bad Brains! my fav is "Banned in D.C."

The wasp (Texas radio and the big beat) - the doors

I love how simple the music in this song is, yet how detailed the lyrics are. It's a really great song (pretty classic acid rock).

the dead
the beatles, rubber soul ->
early pink floyd
dub (not dubstep)
primal scream
P-funk
band of gypsies
ozric tentacles
shpongle
some jazz

even though i love electronic music when im just tripping, i crave more organic music

Scale the Summit. I describe them being instrumental technical rock.

and if you can take hardcore parts here and there, these two bands
Between the Buried and Me
A Hero, A Fake

I just find the music I listen to normally ad everyday is the music I'll listen to when tripping.

For me that is ska, punk and reggea.
Sublime, NOFX, the special, the clash, bad religion, streetlight manifesto it could go on forever.

But yeah for tripping music I always think the best it just the music you love, I do like some psytrance such as infected mushroom and astrix but I've never truly gotten into that because I don't listen to it sober as well.

So basically trip to your music you love and live with. Also Sublime can never hurt <3

Mastodon - Crack the skye

was an incredible album to listen to on my first mescaline (peruvian torch) adventure. it's an epic with both an instrumental version and one with lyrics, personally Troy Sanders voice just levels me... induced such desert-friendly hallucinations I craved the cactus aesthetic and it delivered.

funny, im into heavy dance music (hardstyle) but when i am tripping i love jazz music, i sorta feel it in a sense i gues you could say.

I just discovered Tame Impala. Look them up. Think heavily influence from 60s psychedelia, with a more modern edge and some nice dirty guitars.
