Proven winners:

Shpongle
Some of Chemical Brothers (Surface to Air is an example of a fucking tops track)
Infected Mushroom
Pink Floyd (duh)
Tool
Dredg
Porcupine Tree (Voyage 34 blows my mind)

Expected awesomeness (on the playlist for next trip):

The Pineapple Thief
Demians
Pretty much anything else on my 'Pod

...Oh yeah, and anything you are playing! Seriously, if you don't play an instrument yet, learn one - anything - then play it tripping! It's an amazing feeling.

i usually hate techno the only time i like it is if im tripping. never really tried much else because im usually at a friends or a party and that's all they llisten to, but i'd like to try the mars volta or oasis.

Listened to Shpongle yesterday for the first time while tripping on acid. Awesome, awesome stuff. I almost always go with ambient music though to try and send myself to space. Stars of the Lid often does the trick.

anyone tried listening to Biosphere? Had a wonderful meditative time with the Insomnia album this saturday night... not the usual song type that i listen to, but for the tail end of a mushroom trip it was beautiful... sent me into dreamland properly

Shit man, Biosphere is excellent. Check out Substrata, one of my favorite ambient albums. I listened to this at the tale end of a pretty intense acid trip, vaped my head off and watched the planes come in during the night from my bed. The visuals coming back from the pot and the slow moving lights in the sky fit perfectly together. Somewhat eerie though.

Tycho is also legit. I suggest Sunrise Projector.

Mostly weird psych rock jams, synth based stuff, and sometimes house/techno.

Some I've put on recently:

Royal Trux- Twin Infinitives
Les Rallizes Denudes- Various bootlegs
Smegma- Glamour Girl 1941 + Pigface Chant
Crawling Chaos- The Gas Chair
ADN' Ckrystall- Selected Works
Steffi's recent house/techno mix for mnmlssgs blog
Warm Climate- Camouflage on the River Wretched
Ceramic Hobs- Psychiatric Underground
Indian Jewelry- Totaled
La Dusseldorf- S/T

Shpongle. Definitely. Tales of the Inexpressible is the most profound and uplifting experience even when sober but when tripping, it really takes you on a journey.

In Terms of Rock.
The Mars Volta//Tool tied for number one.
Mastodon
Foxy Shazam
Modest Mouse
sometimes: Dimmu Borgir.

In terms of Techno//Trance
1200 Mics
Crystal Castles
Pendulum
Infected Mushroom
Cosmic Gate
Headhunterz
Younger Brother
Shpongle
Hallucinogen.

Shpongle is definitely some good quality music. It depends on what kind of tripping im doing, M83, Saturday=youth is definitely my K-hole album, so much saucy, sexual and spacey imagery :)

Animal Collective is my go-to tripping music. Anybody seen ODDSAC? lol I think it potentiates and intensifies most psychedelic drugs...plus the music is great, kinda like a neat little progression of how Animal Collective has changed over the years

some of my favourites are
morcheeba - the sea
led zepllin - no quarter
i like listening to house music and stuff when i trip if im at home
on a night out anything that i can dance about to like a man possessed! and a 6 foot 3 and built like a brick shit house its a sight to behold haha

Gotta say The Mars Volta has always treated me well, specifically the Frances The Mute and Amputechture albums.. While their music can be a little dark at times, it will most definitely take you on an adventure.

I remember the first time i did acid, I listened to Frances the Mute and literally saw myself on stage with them while I had my eyes closed. It was absolutely amazing. <3
