The Big & Dandy Methoxetamine Thread - 6th Dose (now you've gone and used it all up)

Not to go too off-topic here but might be worth looking at some lucid dreaming resources. I've had a lot of success with lucid dreaming myself - managed to have about 15-20 lucid dreams the first month I even attempted to have any!
Yes, I've been interested in that for quite a time but I've never managed to get some more LDs more often, or actually induce it. But when I managed to get control in a dream, I damn did like the power. And all the pleasant things in real life feel like ten times more pleasant in a dream (yeah, kissing too... FML if I don't ever manage to get some more LD).

I was way after peak when I got to sleep. Maybe it didn't have a connection at all. MXE makes me quite emotional, though, especially lower doses (alcohol-like emotional). I had quite a few online chats with one girl those days I was on the binge so maybe it all just added up.

Actually, FML if I don't get a LD today. Wish me good luck.

Cya :)

PS: Alcohol and MXE? some little mxe and one beer makes me feel drunk like if I drank 5 beers.

^ I definitely agree on it being great fun. Oral MXE was also a lot more comfortable that way. I just tried oral MXE for the first time on it's own tonight and I'm feeling quite elevated body temperatures, sweating a ton, and generally feeling quite uncomfortable as I come down - strange that sublingual seems smoother since ime usually it's the opposite, with sublingual being a slightly rougher ride than oral for most drugs. When I combined oral MXE with alcohol though I fell asleep before any unwanted after-effects and the dissociation was greatly enhanced, it felt identical to a nice dose of Ketamine but a lot more euphoric.

That said I was a little concerned about possible negative side effects though. I think most likely the combination is not all that dangerous, probably similar to combining low doses of stimulants with alcohol - but that's no guarantee, and it's definitely best to stay cautious :)

I still can't believe MXE convinced me to throw away close to a pound of homegrown + all my glass and vape. In a way it's not so bad - I would have probably smoked it all by now and would be in the exact same position except for dirtier lungs. But damn, this stuff will shake your perspectives to the foundation.

And it's not like I trashed the stuff while I was on MXE...this was several days after the last dose, when I was completely sober. MXE also convinced me not to take MXE anymore, even though I love the stuff like nothing else. Now after 4 months of abstinence I kind of want to go back but I know I shouldn't.

Very strange drug. As addictive as it is, I can see it being used to treat other drug addictions. Using it to treat depression is a road to ruin though I think.

Oh yeah, MXE will get you to quit other drugs right fast -- as long as they don't agree with being combined with MXE ;)

That's funny... for me mxe ends up being bleak and boring if I don't have herb as well... I also love taking it with mdma, ket, nitrous, psilocybe mushrooms...

Other stuff like blow, opiates, amps all seem very evil when on mxe... like you regret you did them because you know those are the ones that make you act a fool... lol...

It made me look back on periods of my life when I was heavily abusing opiates and benzos with such palpable disgust, as well as the idea of blackening my lungs. It's a feeling that's brought to the surface by many psychedelics, but with MXE it seems to actually outlast the duration of the drug. Almost like a rewiring of the brain.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to smoke or do downers anymore but there's definitely a lasting temperance. I'm not obsessed with munching opiates or breathing smoke like it's oxygen anymore. I don't seek them out and if they're offered I can take it or leave it. They've lost their magic for me.

Maybe this won't last and I'll be eating my words in a few months, but it's an interesting effect.

My friend used to make methcathinone for I.V., one MXE trip and he had thrown all the preparation stuff away. :)

Thanks Jesusgreen :)

Regarding someone's suggestion a few pages back to play Amnesia Dark Descent on MXE, I'm tempted to try that, although it's an intense and immersive enough game on it's own. As terrifying as that game is for me without being on anything (haven't yet finished it), primarily because of the lack of motor control the game so effectively simulates, that combined with the impaired motor control MXE causes for me would make it one intense ride.

I can heartily recommend playing Skyrim while on MXE, though. Of late I've usually been playing it on the comeup to kill time, but recently I decided to keep playing after it had kicked in fully. Simply exploring the gorgeous wilderness landscape was throughly engrossing and incredibly beautiful.

For a real treat though (if you have the PC version) put on some calming music, ambient-ish or downtempo electronic (I was listening to Vibrasphere's Downbeats) or a sweeping symphonic score (I find the music in Skyrim too subtle while on MXE) and enable the console commands (press ~) then enable no-clip mode (tcl), which allows you to fly. God mode (tgm) too if you feel like it. I felt like I was in control of filming a nature documentary, one of those with gorgeous cinematic vistas like Planet Earth. Exploring things no one had ever seen before. Flying high in the air to look down on the icy landscape before diving down towards some wildlife, or plunging suddenly into the sea. It was mesmerizing.

I enjoyed playing through the start of Skyrim on MXE, I haven't gone much further while on it yet though. I'll give it a go the next time I dose for sure as I remember thinking the game had the best graphics ever when I played the intro on MXE - a belief I no longer hold after playing it sober.

Skyrim on MXE is wicked, so immersive, bit odd exploring those dodgy caves though got a bit confused. but visually it was pretty amazing. some things feel like you have 3D glasses on, things seem to fly off the screen

i have yet to try computer games on it. but using an electric toothbrush (which made my head vibrate) seriously fucked me up :)

haha yeah ive experienced this as well =D

anyone find smoking weed on an afterglow eliminates the anxiety and makes the weed effect more motivated?

Finally! The thread I was looking for.

I've about 30mg of the stuff in me and me likey. Me likey very much.

Music isn't quite the revelatory experience that it is on weed, but there's something blissful and serene about MXE... seems to be a perfect companion for chilling out and enjoying some films/games.

I tried a low dose a few hours ago (for the first time ever - not the low dose, the compound itself) and it felt stimulating and clear-headed enough to be conducive to socialising. Which I did. And it didn't impede me in any way (that I noticed, anyway).

Awww shit. It's really kicking in now. Radiohead's Separator is the perfect accompaniment to this trip. Mmm

wait till you get on a higher dose, music will be a revelatory experiences beyond weed

Any tips on how to space out dosages in order to ensure that tolerance doesn't shoot up?

I'm not planning to abuse this gem, but I am currently bed-ridden, so the dearth of things to do makes it very easy for me to re-dose again and again and again...

I know moderation is common sense (even though common sense isn't really that common) and doesn't need explanation, but any tips for 'keeping the magic', as it were?
