I've done acid twice and on my first trip i was kinda scared just go with the trip and it'll be great. Instead of taking k-pins or xanax before hand keep some bars with you incase of a bad trip then you can just sleep it off.
 
It might help the come up a bit. But the benzos will diminish the trip a little. Not ruin it.
 
yeah, I would wait until the anxiety kicks in to take anything. often just having the benzos around will be enough to prevent it. if not, they work quick enough.
 
Benzos make psychs very dull for me, I only take them sometimes on the comedown to help me sleep.

Your robbing yourself of the full experience out of fear if you do this, sorry.

I agree with the others, keep them on hand so you can take them if things get *unbearable*, but try your best to tough it out... even if I'm having bad anxiety I try not to take benzos because it normally subsides after the peak and turns into an absolutely amazing trip.
 
A low dose of benzos does wonders for me when I trip on shrooms. It kills whatever anxiety I may have allowing for a much freer trip. It doesn't seem to diminish the trip for me. I think it depends a lot on the dose.
 
Jst for the sake of the logic...if you wanted your benzo to last for your trip, take diazapam or temazapam instead, since Xanax is very short lived, and kpins are not super longlived either, and thus would be long gone before the LSD is.

I'd say just keep a few bars of xanax, and if you are shitting brix, eat them, if not, save them, and either use em to go to sleep after, or for another time.

I agree. It's better to experience the full intensity of the psychedelic than to go into it thinking that you need a benzo. Keep the benzos on hand in case you can't handle it.
 
I strongly recommend against taking any benzos to dull a trip unless you are literally becoming a danger to yourself. If you are having a terrifying trip, it is best to ride it out, because when you come out the other side, you'll be stronger for it, and trust me, you'll be glad you went through it after it's over. Those things have a way of working out. But if you take a benzo to kill/calm it, you will not have that experience of working it out, so the issues that caused the bad trip will not be resolved and they'll just come back the next time you trip, or some other time even when you're not tripping. A "bad trip" can be among the most valuable of experiences for you to go through, because it can help you to understand yourself better. If it's coming out while you're tripping, it means it was inside of you, which means it will affect you whether you're tripping or not.

By nature, tripping is not always all fun and games. If you can't handle that, you should probably try using some other drugs that are more purely recreational. In my opinion. :)
 
Thanks for that info. I think Swim will just keep them on hand like you all said incase of any trouble.

Swim was just anticipating the worst since last time while already on 2c-b Swim sniffed up some more and felt like he was having a panic attack on the comeup.

is dangerous mixing ssri + DOI? or it will just reduce the effects?
i guess there is no danger like taking ssri+AMT because DOI has no effect on MAOI.

i know that the best is not to try... but in a hypothetical environment would it be that extremely dangerous?
 
2C-I + Lexapro?

Some 2C-I is going to be flying through the window and landing in my lap pretty soon. I'm on 10mg/day Lexapro. Is this going to have any noteworthy interaction?
 
I have been on Prozac and taken 2C-I quitre a few times. As I have no basis for comparison (ie. I only took it when on prozac- not for any reason, I was simply being 'treated' with Prozac and tripping with 2C-I at that stage) I can say that doses of about 18mg were absolutely fun as fun can be....The highest I took was 25-30mg, and that resulted in immense vomiting, but very very strong visual effects.
 
LSD/antibiotic interaction?

hello all. As the title says, my friend got sick with pneumonia on monday, but he wants to trip on lsd. He is on Biaxin XL Clarithromycin for antibiotics and im worried if there will be any side affects mixings those? I tried to search for this drug and interactions with lsd but I couldn't find much, so if anyone can help me out please do and thanks for reading
 
I still can't find anything related to interactions between lsd and that antibiotic, and my friend is very stuborn and will take his hits unless I can prove it may harm him
 
It is quite unlikely that there will be an interaction, but I doubt there is hard data out there.

Also, tripping w/pneumonia? No fun.

QFT. I tripped on 4 tabs right at the peak of a particularly nasty cold. I got under the impression that the acid was killing me (the runny nose, coughing, sneezing, etc.) and I ended up popping 4mg alprazolam 2 hours in. What a waste of good acid. :(
