Hi, hello everybody!!:)

i read everything in this thread but there is still one thing he doesnt understands


swim is on paroxetine (paxil) and after reading every information avaible in the forum he understands that he can take everything but MAOI (and thus ayahuasca...:! ) and DXM high dose.DXM low dose still seems safe(lower than 300)

however i've read some posts here about stopping zoloft(an ssri) before tripping DOI.
why is that? i thought ssri were safe with everything, and would even decrease the effects!

so SSRI are bad with DOx ???

and, he was thinking about SSRI and PMA(hypothetical accidental ingestion, from hypothetical cut pill) would this decrease PMA effects or worsened??

2C-T-7 and AMT are low to moderate MAOi's, they are safe or not to ingest??


Swim is not planning to trip from one of those, this is just to know what he can take and what he cant.

From my understanding any psychedelic combined with an SSRI could be dangerous (seizures) and should be avoided.
 
Lexapro & Shrooms?

I'm pretty experienced with mushrooms, but I started a 10mg/day Lexapro regimen last week. Will this have any major impact on the effectiveness? I took mushies on Zoloft with no difference.
 
Merged in a question about Lexapro and LSD. And for future reference, this is the thread to post in regarding questions about psychotropic medications and psychedelic interactions. :)
 
Geist- to be honest, lexapro is the only anti-deperessant that I have heard, anecdotally, can be a bit nasty to combine with LSD especially....take that with a grain of salt; but exercise caution. Most likely the effects WILL be dulled; not dramatically 10mg lexapro is not a high dose.

Would it be advised to skip my dose that day to minimize side-effects? Or does it really matter?

Obviously YMMV, but 5 mg lexapro virtually negated all psychedelic effects (I did get some stimulation) from an absolutely massive dose of cactus. I took four times the standard dose of a particularly potent bridgessi plant. By "standard dose" I mean the dose of this particular plant that has invariably yeilded a strong +3 experience for the eight or nine other people who have tried it, and in at least one case, a life-changing +4. I took four times that amount, and got basically nothing. On the plus side, no negative effects either apart from the expected nausea.
 
^Hmm, well antidepresaants do effect everyone differently so...but thats odd. I'll have to read up about lexapro again, if i remeber its slightly atypical.

No. Never skip your dose of medication to trip. You have more chances of increasing side effects, of a withdrawl-y side, which shan't be good while tripping. Take your normal dose and see what you feel. You can always take more, or at least write it off as an experiment failed :\

That probably explains why 80% of my mushroom trips have taken a turn for the worst...

dxm and amitriptyline

ok so i have been taking amitriptaline for a few weeks straight. i know it builds up in your system cause i quit for 4 days awhile back to shroom and i had a totaly psychotic trip and my fuckin f riends brought me to the hospital i was all blacked out and shit....anyways, they found amitriptaline in my blood so i think thats what caused the reaction.
im just wondering...i want to take some dxm. how many days until amitriptaline leaves your system? or is it safe to take them together, or just the day after? i think i will er on the side of saftey and wait like a week, but if anyone knows.....
also amitriptaline is alot like diphenhydramine whicih people often pop with there dxm.

My dermatologist said that I should not drink alcohol while on accutane (isotretinoin) because of the toll it takes on the liver. Would taking MDMA and/or 2C-E be too hard on my liver while taking accutane?

As far as mental illness goes, I've been on accutane for 3 weeks and feel no different in the psyche department.
 
xanax or klonopin before acid trip

Swim found some good acid, but swim has never done it before. Swim gets bad anxiety on come up of mushrooms and 2c-b. Would taking some xanax or kpins ruin swims first acid trip?
