Other than a slightly disturbing Christmas Eve sermon at our church, I had love just pouring out of me the entire day. I wanted to grab each member of my family, shake them (to really get their attention), and tell them I love them more than anything in the world. Luckily I refrained from any grabbing or shaking.

We spent Christmas Eve dinner talking about dreams ... what a ripe topic for a mind so primed for analytical inspection.

DXM and Zoloft?

I take Zoloft every day for anxiety. I have a bottle of 20 DXM pills 15mg each. I was thinking about trying the DXM tonight but I have a few questions. Is it ok to take it with Zoloft? How much should a person take for the first time? Also, I am concerned because I have some things that I need to do tomorrow and I will have to speak intelligently. Does DXM make you feel like shit the next day?
 
I'm no medical professional, but speaking as someone who's taken Zoloft before, as well as lots of DXM, I'd say it's not a good idea. I say that because I'm not sure if it's an MAOI, but if it is, then it's a horrible idea. DON'T DO IT. If it's an SSRI, not as bad. Most of the time I took DXM I was on Prozac, and I was fine.
Also, since you've never done DXM before, I wouldn't try to get high tonight if I were you. Try about 100mg to see if you react badly. At that level you won't be at any serious risk, but it's a good idea.
Then, for your first time, I'd say no more than...maybe 250mg and work your way up from there.
As for the next day, you should be able to talk just fine, as long as you didn't dose at like 5:00 in the morning.
And, at least for me, the day after dosing was a wonderful experience.
 
Zoloft is an SSRI so it sounds like it should be ok. I should also add that I am 215 pounds.

Absolutely not! While some people are fine, it can cause fatal seratonin syndrome. Defnitely do not do this. And pelase search in the Big and Dandy threads for these questions, they get covered all the time.
 
phenethylamines & MAOI?

I checked the "Antidepressants and Recreational Drugs" thread but couldn't find the answer. Are phenethylamines safe while on an MAOI like moclobemide?

I know MDMA is dangerous with an MAOI, but I have read quite a few reports about people taking mescaline with MAOI.

So how about 2C-B and 2C-I? Or DOC/DOM?
 
I have read a number of reports of MAOI 2c-b combinations some positive, some terrifying. You probably wont die but make sure to cut the dose in a quarter (at least) and then boost if necessary. who knows how this effects toxicity, it could be doing more than simple potentiation.

As for DOx i would strongly caution against it, even taking 500ug of DOC might be a massive overdose, that could last days. If your just trying to save money its def not worth it.
 
A friend of mine took 3g of Syrian Rue along with probably 15mg of 2ce and said that it wasn't noticeably much different. However, I think he had a rather high tolerance to psychedelics at that point. He ended up fine, but I am personally too afraid to really experiment much with MAOIs and Phens. Soon as I get some Tryptamines, though...
 
I have been considering syrian rue + peruvian torch, but tricho cacti contain tyramine and a lot of compounds specifically contraindicated with Maoi's, so abject caution is in order.
 
my experiences
2cb + harmala extract: takes twice as long to come on, and it didnt potentiate the trip at all
mdma + harmala extract: holy god, that was incredible. but i dont recommend you repeat my experiment. the risk of serotonin syndrome and hypertensive crisis is too high, and those are no fucking joke.
mescaline + harmala extract: <3! its hard to give an estimate of how much it potentiated since i was eating cactus (fresh peruvian torch tastes like cucumber!) and i didnt have a lot with which to work.
 
For the most part it seems phens are more dangerous in conjunction with a MAOI than trypts not to say that typts are safe (5-meo-dmt+maoi=an almost certain trip to the hospital) the combination of selegiline with an ultra low dose of AMT (less than 5mg) on a couple of occasions proved to be mildly psychedelic, pleasant, and not over stimulating.
 
Psychedelics and Wellbutrin

I know this has been touched upon before, but I need some specific answers.

I have been on wellbutrin for about 2 weeks now, 50mg's 2x daily the first week, then 100mg 2x daily the past week, last dosage was this morning. Tonight I have a party I'm going to, and am wondering what I can safely take.

I have tripped on an rc (one of the 2c's) while on wellbutrin and it was fine, so I'm in the clear there, at least I was anyway. I know MDxx substances are out of the questions, and cocaine (which I hate anyway) but was offered to do tonight. I just need to know what is okay and I've done my research but want some experienced people who've delt with taking wellbutrin and other drugs.

Thanks for any info. (and yes I know I asked about other drugs in the PD form, but please don't shot me for it)

That's what I was thinking, however I may end up doing a 2c-x substance, but like I said that was done right after taking wellbutrin before with no adverse effects, and this time it'll be around 12-14 hrs after taking my last dose.

Anyone have any experiences at all with wellbutrin and other drugs? Please post!
