Dramamine helps the nausea tremendously when taking psychedelic drugs like ayahuasca. Try taking some before hand next time to avoid the horrible sick feeling.
Here is my opinion of the best psychedelic compounds a beginner could start with.
In my opinion and my many experiences, I think that the BEST psychedelics (and possible dosages) for first timers are (in order of best to worst, #1 would be the best one out of this list, and the last one would probably be the least ideal one on the list [although they are still good beginner psychedelics when compared to the others]):
1. 2C-I (16-20mg) <-----This is by far the BEST one for newbies. It presents NO ego loss in my experience, and is basically like a happy time with colorful visuals. Almost like psychedelic MDMA, without the extreme MDMA euphoria.
2. 2C-B (16-20mg) <-----I would say this is almost just as good as 2C-I for beginners, though it is a bit more psychedelic than 2C-I (especially at high doses). Not quite as ideal for 2C-I for a first timer (IMO), but very very close.
3. 4-AcO-DMT (~15-20mg) <-----MUCH, MUCH better choice than mushrooms for a first timer. Effects are nearly identical to mushrooms (4-HO-DMT), except there is not nearly as much ego loss/mind-fuck and it lasts like 2 hours longer. It actually seems to relax/sedate you a bit before the trip. I personally love this compound and think it would be a great starter. I don't know why (because they are so similar in chemical structure), but they are MUCH MUCH smoother than mushrooms. A lot of people I know also like it BETTER than mushrooms.
4. LSD (100-150mcg) <-----Probably the best "common" psychedelic to start out with, in my opinion. Much much easier to start with than mushrooms, in my experience. Mushrooms are no joke, even though they are quite common. While mushrooms just hack at your ego unforgivingly, LSD kind of picks it apart at it like a puzzle...it would be more comfortable for beginners, at least in my experience.
P.S. I did not include MDMA in this list, because it is the most predictable psychedelic and causes extreme euphoria for most (it's not a traditional visual/mindfuck psychedelic, more for pleasure IMO). If I were to include MDMA, it would be #1 on the list, because it is by far the easiest to handle.
Hi I have no idea how old this thread is and you've probably anwered these questions a number of times already.
How does alcohol and/or cannabis go with LSD? At different points of the trip, before dropping and in different quantities?
I plan to drop acid in my own home with some friends round the house. Some of them WONT be on acid, will this affect anything?
Could you socialise on a tab of medium strength acid?
How much will one tab of standard lsd really fuck me up? Will my "ego shatter", how strange will my thoughts become?
How likley will I be to experience terrifying visions and feelings? Is it REALLY that bad?
Thanks everyone
Swimming on dissociatives or downers is pretty dangerous, sure, but trippy swimming? All good as far as I'm concerned, can't really see the potential for danger (unless you're taking ego-dissolving doses, but they're hardly suited for outdoor activities). Besides, with kayaking you've got a safe, stable platform, so I think it's probably safer than swimming in many ways.i heard swimming while under the influence can be a dangerous thing.
