mephedrone is actually great although it would be better if it lasted longer, i dont rate methylone at all

I was amazed at how great mephedrone felt. I couldn't resist doing more, then more and more. Felt like absolute shit the next day. If I ever do it again I wouldn't redose. Hoping to try methylone soon. Short duration of mephedrone did make it suck. But I snorted it. Maybe eating it would extend the effects.

exactly!! how can you "assure me" that mephedrone is crap,or a pile of sh*T as you havent tried it?? mmm a bit suspect do you sell methylone but not mephedrone? something not right with your comments,if you can explain them then ill apologize, but from my research they are very very similar just mephedrone seems to be slightly more euphoric and stimulating but shorter acting, which actually suits me fine, anyway i have some on the way so i will be able to answer my own question with personal experience with both substances,i shall return my friends with my findings, mmmm, Well maybe not if Gaian Planes comments are correct and it is "a neurotoxic pile of shit"

peace love and all that crap see u soon!!:D 8o

You don't have to try something to know that its chemical structure is very similar to things that are definitely neurotoxic. Then again, so is methylone's chemical structure.

Merged a thread about comparing methylone with mephedrone into here. Really mephedrone discussion does not belong here but since we're also discussing methylone I will leave it here.

i'm just kidding, but seriously ya'll be careful with these new stimulants, some of them are likely to be very neurotoxic.

There's a difference between something being neurotoxic and it having any damaging effect on you tho. You can inject enormous quantities of MDMA directly into a rats brain every 4 hours for 6 days in a row and then kill it, dissect it's brain and notice a certain cell has some damage - that's one thing. But the other thing you have to remember is that if you put the rat back in the wild after you'd fucked about with it, within a day or two it would be completely indistuingishable from any other rat and would live just as healthy a life. The brain deals with millions of dead and dying cells every day and we don't all fall over in a heap with brain damage.

Whether or not something is theoretically neurotoxic is a completely different matter to whether it does you any harm. Lots of people seem to think that because something is "neurotoxic" that if you take it that means you will notice symptoms of brain damage in yourself. That's now how it works.

We have all been breathing enormous quantities of neurotoxins in the air we breathe since we were infants. We don't see the brain damage from that because there's no-one telling us in the newspapers "You are breathing neurotoxins". If there was was much propaganda about air quality as Ecstasy everyone would be walking around wearing gasmasks.

I think f&b once pointed out chemical differences as to why methylone would be less neurotoxic than mdma.

Yes, I agree that methylone seems toxic than MDMA. I was saying that there is good reason to believe that mephedrone could be neurotoxic. And then I was playing devil's advocate a bit. Since none of us know for sure and all.

But we're not rats. We have higher thought centers and delicate emotional states which may or may not exist in rats, and which we certainly can't measure in rats. Just because a rat seems to behave like other rats afterwards does not mean the rat did not sustain damage, and it's quite a reach to say that a human would not sustain damage. You can't tell me that I was imagining the damage to myself I caused with MDMA, which I was very far from injecting in large quantities every 4 hours for 6 days directly into my brain. A lot of people report long-lasting negative aftereffects from MDMA use.

Yeah a lot of people report it but it's hard to seperate the propaganda about damage from the damage itself. I remember a story about a village that lived under electricity pylons who had obviously heard the story that electricity pylons cause brain damage. Dozens of them were complaining of symptoms of brain damage, migraines, loss of memory, difficulty in thinking.

It turned out the pylons above them hadn't even been used for years. Just hearing the stories had given dozens of them symptoms of severe brain damage.

Methylone could be neurotoxic - maybe we'll all drop dead from brain cancer when we're 50. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

I agree! and then of course for another alternative, a drug can be neurotoxic and actually DO YOU GOOD (destroy regions of the brain that you're better off without), in theory.

Although in practice these chemicals have cognitive impacts which are extremely negative: memory disruption, concentration problems, etc.

Although also I think I'm generally a more upbeat and happy person because of some of my BEST rolls. So its a give and take I think.

Well, you raise good points. It's worth noting that before I had bad experiences with MDMA, I was strongly of the opinion that it was harmless.

I've tried methylone twice. Once at a 150mg starting level, then boosting it to almost 500mg. The second time at a starting level of 250mg. I refused to redose.

All in all, I can say I absolutely hate the drug. I feel the positive effects of the drug, but it is always outweighed by the anxiety of it feeling too light and worrying it will end at any moment... If that makes any sense. Even when I took 250mg, it hit me hard (very hard for a second... it frightened me), but the positive feelings were not that hard, only the intensity... Once again, if that makes any sense..

I always felt like I wanted to be away from everyone while I was on the drug. Then I feel depressed that I am by myself. And anxiety kicks in that it will probably end soon, but overall I feel miserable.

I have quite a bit of this left. I don't know if I ever will take it again. When I took it the last time, I contemplated flushing it in the toilet to ensure I didn't. This is how miserable it made me...

Damn. You seem to be one of the only other people that doesn't really get much of anything worthwhile from M1.

Though I'd probably take it for fun if I were bored and had something interesting to do, and had sedatives for that horrible cracked out feeling afterwards.

I like methylone but it can be a real bitch. The duration is so short that it's not really worth it to me. Plus the whole time it makes you feel like it's going so fast it's about to end, which, surprise, it is! I had one really good experience on it, when my family called me right as the peak started and I talked to them all for like 3 hours. I forgot all about it ending and just had awesome and heartfelt conversations with them, and I never had the cracked-out come-down. Every other time it's like a coke comedown except not quite as shitty physically. And like with coke, it makes me want to continually redose even though I realize it will do almost nothing whatsoever.
