Decided to stop lurking and become an active bluelight member tonight, so just sharing some perhaps novel aMT info. Last easter I was with a friend, and he asked me if I'd like to try some 6-APB that evening, which I accepted. He weighed out two bombs of about 100mg+, took one and gave the other to me. LITERALLY as I swallowed my bomb, friend exclaims "FUCK!"...turns out he'd got his stash of 6 APB confused with his stash of aMT, and we'd both just taken well above the upper end of a 'heavy' dose as perscribed by erowid. WHOOPS!
Turns out this 'light' psychedelic can get rather heavily visual at high doses. During the peak (which took about 4 or 5 hours to reach!) I was experiencing very fast, 3 dimensional CEV's which I can only compare to DMT, the only tryptamine I have much experience with. Open eyed visuals were also very pronounced, with fully formed 3D hallucinations of faces appearing on the walls. When we ventured outside (was dark out), I struggled to tell if I was looking at a group of people in the distance or the pavement! We managed to get lost and hit a dead end, even though we have both lived in this town all our lives, due to the cognitive confusion and visual distortions. At around 6 or 7 hours in, we shared a small joint. This sent me from a blissful euphoria into strong anxiety and confusion, this being one of only two bad trips I have ever experienced in 2 years of frequent trippig. I experienced a state that wasn't ego death, but strong ego dissolution, in which I completely phased out from where I was and suddenly found myself lost in a hallucinatory world when I came to. My friend kept suggesting that we lie down on the couches upstairs for a change of setting, but at this point I was almost paralised with fear, and just sat there unable to speak or move or even think.
Eventually the fear subsided, but by this point (8 hours in) I was tired and ready for the experience to end. No such luck! I lay there watching the world transform every few seconds for another few hours before braving the journey home to bed. Obviously sleep was impossible, and I lay in an annoying state of residual stimulation and flowing visuals for a good few hours before nodding up. When I got up for a dentist appointment the next day, a full 17 hours after dosing, my pupils were still fully dilated and I still had the residual feelings of being on something, but finally the trip had stopped. I felt out of sorts for the rest of the day, but considering the dose I had and the lack of sleep, I was OK.
All in all, I am grateful for the experience as I will probably never intentionally dose that high again and despite the anxiety I felt after smoking weed, and the ridiculous duration, the initial hours of the peak were amongst my favourite tripping moments of all time- such great euphoric bliss, music appreciation and beautiful flowing visuals!
Also worth noting, I felt no nausea whatsoever during the experience, but my tripping buddy vomited during the onset (then felt fine afterwards).
Just thought I'd share that anecdote as not many people seem to dose as high as this. I certainly wouldn't recommend this to anyone, but based on this one experience I've had with the drug, I would say that high doses are worth exploring, although not too high! Perhaps 70mg would provide a similarly blissful state with less unwanted side effects!
