Ketamine is an addictive drug. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. It can grab you by the balls (or clitoris) just like any other addictive drug can.
 
I know it's easy to make up names frivolously, but "psychedelic heroin" does seem to be regarded by some as an apt moniker for this strange, interesting, but seductive substance. Says it all really!
 
IME the risk of getting hooked is quite real. After ketamine had a surge in popularity in my area quite a few people have had problems with addiction. I've never been hardly addicted to it, but there has been periods in which I've used it 3-4 times a week. Which IMO is way to frequent. However one of my friends was averaging 3-4 grams a day for a couple of months.

Another problem is that the side effects seem to increase greatly as ingestion becomes more frequent. To my knowledge, addiction/abuse of ketamine has lead to some quite severe side effects.
 
Ketamine is an ugly fucker to shake loose if you've got a liking for it - it fulfils far to many roles for a person with a dependant personality type (speak from experience). It's not just the person disappearing into a world of their own that earned it the nickname 'techno-smack'.
 
It's quite addictive for some people, yes. I myself would have considered myself an addict, I mean, I love the stuff, but stopping for long periods of time has never seemed a big issue to me. Mentally addictive for sure, but not physically, and I'd also say that once it hasn't been around for a while, it's quite easy to just forget about it, whereas I would think someone addicted to coke or H would never be able to let it slip to the back of their mind.
 
My GF finally tried IV. 35mg of good K put into .5-1cc solution. She doesn't remember hardly anything. We injected her very slowly and I had her talking to me the whole time telling me if she was feeling okay and everything. She started feeling it halfway through and said it never felt like to much. After I pull the needle out she smiles and lays back with her eyes rolling in the back of her head. She acted kind of weird through it all and was totally gone. She had me a bit worried the way she was acting. Unfortunately I don't remember it all that well since we did K all night 8o

I was going to do ~50mg IV but lately have been having a hard time hitting veins. I got maybe 5mg in and felt the k more than ever before. Eventually I pulled it out and IM'd it because I didn't wanna screw around with it anymore. I'm really good at IV'ing, understand the procedure well, done it enough times, and have amazing veins but just have not been able to get a vein or stay in it through an entire injection. No idea why. Several of the times I was tripping balls already though (2c-X's) so after finding the vein it kind just got overwhelmed with colors/patterns/breathing.

My GF will be trying 10mg IV K again when we decide to do it, probably around two weeks. I'll give it another try then with about 20mg this time since it seamed to do something. I don't know why I didn't feel it all the other times... but I am sure I was in a vein.
 
do you guys think 100mg internasal in darkness with no tolerance is enough to go "deep" with ketamine? (and yes, I do understand that deep is subjective).

Yeah, probably. It will be fun and if you close your eyes you'll probably go for a little mind-ride.

But a K-Hole is usually about 200mg with no tolerance.. so you still have a ways to go ;)

That seams very high. When I don't have a tolerance 100mg is far more than enough and I've K-hole'd 100's of times.
 
Maybe our definition of K-Hole is different?

I find 100mg gets me floaty and kind of dissociated. 200-250mg takes me for a roller coaster ride through my imagination.

Then again it's possible I have a little bit of perma-tolerance to K and dissociatives in general. Well here is what Erowid lists for doses...

Light .15 mg / lb 15 - 30 mg
Common .3 mg / lb 30 - 75 mg
Strong .5 - .75 mg / lb 60 - 125 mg

I can get a K-Hole on 100mg of S-Ketamine but certainly not racemic.

GF and I tried IV K several more times. I still think it's a waste. The rush is pretty hood and euphoric but there is no trippyness. Lots of auditory, almost to the point it hurts your ears. After a couple times it does almost nothing for me. We did 8-30mg IV. Our IM K-hole doses are 65-105mg. Even when IV'ing smaller amounts you can be coherent during the whole rush but it's still extremely hard to remember the experience when it's over. The numbness IV'ing K causes is interesting too. IV'ing it once equals the numbness of using it any other method over the course of a night.

My conclusion on IV K is that it's a good rush but total waste. No psychedelics effects, extremely hard to remember, and It's hard to say how the "high" compares to IV'ing other substances as I don't have enough experience. I think I prefer IV opiates... at least for the fact you remember it just fine.
 
That's funny. I found there to be almost no euphoria whatsoever with IV K, maybe even some dysphoria, a definite rush, but a lot of mindfuck/trippiness...interesting. I ahve tried doses ranging from 10 to ~50 mg.

There definitely is such thing as a k-hole. :)
 
ive been downing massive amounts of k during the last year and have gotten a huge tolerance where its come to the point where i can spend whole days at work in customer service being wasted on K without anyone noticing. but recently now that i have started smoking again (only tobacco) ive noticed that every day ive been smoking and do K after that it puts me at unease for ages instead of the usual confident semi dream like existence. this is well weird. but then again smoking depresses me heavily for some reason. could be the dopamine which i cant handle even in heavier druqz.
 
I think I prefer racemic for recreational uses. It seems to be more narcotic, and just sort of a numb-fun-ness. I think i've tried (mostly) S(+) at a park and it was FAR too disorienting to be fun. every time i moved my head the world didn't catch up for another second.
S(+) i think would be good for at-home IM use, and have it be more of a trip.
Speaking of which, i just IM'ed 30mg of mostly S(+) ketamine last night! First time i tried IM. it was definitely more psychedelic that way. it was my first time doing it and i was very nervous (community bathrooms with people who wouldn't appreciate needles) and so i was wayyyyy twitchy and accidentally ended up spilling more than half of the solution i made :! :! there goes like .6g of K. :(
 
do you thin storing liquid K in a plastic bottle like lets say a eye drops bottle would be a bad idea? would it eat through the bottle or denature the k?
