(answering the rogue post)

I've never gone above four seeds, and my first time trying them (mixed with a couple of grams of syrian rue seeds) led to a ++++ ego death experience. I have also bought seeds off the internet that did absolutely nothing. Personally I wouldn't start higher than 4 until you know the strength of your seeds.

I haven't taken these in a very long time, they always make me purge and even the smell of the seeds makes me want to gag. Its right up there with the thought of chugging cough syrup...

The best preparation I have come across, is to remove the coating, crush the seeds and soak them in an ounce of white wine for 12-24 hours. Then take it as a shot. Filtering the plant matter, may or may not be necessary.

Do not heat as is done with extracting psilocybin from mushrooms. Soaking in water is sufficient.
The process involved isn't really "extraction", it's hydrolysis of the ergoline alkaloids into LSA. Hydrolysis is a chemical process of decomposition involving the splitting of a bond and the addition of the hydrogen cation and the hydroxide anion of water. Soaking the entire crushed seeds (including hulls) in wine for 24 hours doesn't "alter the LSA into something more powerful". What it does is hydrolyze the ergoline alkaloids into much more Lysergic Acid Amide.
The efficacy may be due to the combination of ergoline alkaloids and LSA. Hydrolyzing all of the ergoline alkaloids into LSA may be less effective in treating CH. The unwanted (non-ergoline) alkaloids are not hydrolyzed into LSA, but their decomposition from alcohol may reduce their negative effects.

I suspect that soaking them in wine for 24 hours produces a lot more LSA than those same seeds would have produced if they were soaked in water for 2 hours. Also, never consume the husks of HBW seeds. There's no telling what that horrible stuff in the husks will do to you.

I have had some really nice trips with HBWRs, very happy.

Some trips made me feel very peaky and almost aggressive. I don't like feeling that aggressive, its like I want to punch someone for no reason. I never get that on shrooms or LSD.

I found there was a slow come up and then it would ebb a little and then by the end of the 2nd hour I would come up into the peak proper. I would swear that it was like taking two different drugs at the same time with two distinct time lines. Anyone else?

I had some very nice times smoking small amounts of salvia on the HBWRs as it is easier to get up on salvia when peaking on HBWRs. Less salvia is needed, the timing and need to hold large lung fulls of smoke less critical. Also the salvia trance lasts longer and is just magic. Even works with very light doses of HBWRs.

One particular time I had a problem with swallowing food. I was enjoying some food and it tasted great then I chewed up another mouthful and chucked it to the back of the throat for swallowing. Well the food just sat there, no automatic swallowing reflex was happening.

I made a sound like a cat spewing a fur ball to get the food out of throat as it was blocking my windpipe. I tried again, nope. No amount of trying would work it would just lead to choking and I would have to hrrrrrrkk it out of my throat.

That made me abit worried like I'd done some very low level reprogramming of my nervous system. Next day I tried eating some yoghurt and I was OK....phew.

I gave up on them after one trip when I had a couple of palpitations and then had a couple more over the next few days. I never have palpitations so I realised this sacrament is not for me.

I did have some very magical times on them though so I don't regret it.
Just thought some one might need this info.

ok, dare i ask (or maybe its already been asked)

rectal administration of lsa's?

yay or nay?

say you were to extract about 6 grams worth of seeds down to something you could put in one or two capusles.
haha does anyone have any expereince with this?

my favorite way to trip off of MG's is to wash all the seeds off with bottled water and dish soap

rinse and dry

crush to a power

let the powder soak in 500 ml of water and a 50 ml of lemon juice

shake every 10 minutes

after an hour, strain and drink

quick come up, the drink tasted like lemonade, no nasua and intense trip%)

Adds to the trip in my experience, MJ is also excellent for dealing with any nausea you may get while on the seeds.

if you want to avoid getting ripped off check out [deleted] this is not a source but some kind of databank that tells you if the source is official ... it surprised me

[Sorry, this post doesn't meet guidelines either; we don't allow any discussion of vendors, sources etc - even an organisation such as the one you linked to is inappropriate. Please stop doing this. Last polite warning - Infinite Jest]

Here is a pic of LSAs.

Can you tell me which ones are 'toxic' ie. produce unwanted physical symptoms and which are the major contributors to the hallucingenic effects? Thanks in advance :)

Diamonds......the only places i have seen them sold apart from the net, are a couple of headshops, but they were stupidly overpriced. I'd stick to finding a quality retailer on the net if i were you.

Thanks. ^ I got ahold of some.

yay, I'm excited. I'm really too lazy to do an extraction. So I'm suppose to scrap off the fuzzy coating, right? Then can I just grind them in a coffee grinder, place them in capsules, and swallow away?

Dunno...only ergine, isoergine, and ergonovine have been tried to psychedelic dosages. Ergonovine had some uncomfortable side-effects...but it is present in trace amounts...below psychedelic levels.

A guy I know fainted like 3 times when we were on the seeds, third time he fell and hit his head on the ground leaving a huge gash. He had to goto plastic surgeon to get it fixed a few stitches etc.

That is not something you want to deal with when you are tripping... Luckily his GF came and took care of him instead of giving the responsibility to a bunch of kids who are out of their minds lol

HBWR/MG seeds are one of the substances that marijuana really adds to, in my experience. There's definitely a synergy, and the cannabis can help clear up the nausea, if you have it.

I did some HBWRS a few days ago and I must say I had an AMAZING experience! For a while there, I gave up on LSA since all my experiences with MGs were complete shit. All I did for the HBWRs was get a few, crushed them up, stuck them in a capusule, swallowed them, and bam. I felt nauseous for a couple of hours (didn't throw up) but in the end, it was completely worth it!!

From about 1996-1999...baby woodrose was the main psychedelic I used and I had many wonderful experiences with it. Fantastic psychedelic, though I do find the heavenly blue a bit deeper and different.

But yeah, HBWR are a great psychedelic...4 or 5 seeds was all it took for me. Took a good 3-4 hours for the effects to really begin to peak...wasn't until hour 6 or so that the effects were at the max...which I liked...a long slow voyage up and the same down. Reminds me of the PEAs in how gentle the peak is.

My Scientific Experimentation with HBWR

I had extensively read the work of Peter Webster (The Road to Eleusis, Mixing the Kykeon, etc.), before experimenting with HBWR. I also went through almost every internet discussion forum post possible on theories and experiments regarding HBWR (MorningGlorySeed and Lycaeum provided some great reading). Based on this extensive reading, and some discussion with some chemists, I was convinced he had the soluton to making nausea-free HBWR.

1) First of all, I believed that the outer coating of the seeds contributes to the nausea and that he had a novel solution to this problem (using the seedlings/sprouts instead of the whole seed). As a result, I nicked the seedcoat with a knife and put them in wet paper towels for 48 hours so that they would germinate and produce sprouts. I was then able to squeeze the sprouts out and dispose of the seed coat (where supposedly the nausea-inducing agents exist). This is a much better solution that sanding off the outer coating. I was surprised very few people use nature's own power as a solution to this problem.

2) According to Webster and other fellow scientists, (if I recalls correctly) the nausea is caused by ergine / isoergine. However, if the ergine / isoergine content of the seeds is boiled for a long time with a strong base, it should cause a base-catalysed hydrolysis of the ergopeptine alkaloids into lysergic_acid. I believed that a high PH + high temperature should hydrolyse the nausea-inducing agents.

I did not have a strong base, but used a weak base (baking soda) instead. I blended 5 fresh (straight from the farm) HBWR seed sprouts with purified water. This solution was put at near-boiling for 30-minutes.

3) To reduce the pH back down, lemon juice was added, and honey added for taste. The drink was gulped down, and I promptly fell asleep because I was exhausted that day.

I woke up 4 hours later strongly while peaking. I had no clear visuals, but strongly distorted perception (like an earthquake was happening around I). I felt very nauseated, but did not throw up (I attributed this to taking ginger beforehand). The next two hours were highly uncomfortable, and felt like I was out of control, and very anxious at possibly poisoning myself.

I then started writing frantically in order to calm himself as I came out of the trip. I wrote a very valuable 5-page diatribe on the meaning of life and how we shouldn't take it for granted, and also a road plan for personal improvement. I still readsit from time to time regarding the insights I had on myself and life.

In conclusion, I learned a lot from the trip, though it was highly unpleasant. I wouldn't recommend it if you are scared by nausea, and would definitely not do it again. Remembering the trip alone makes me nauseous. I think there is a chemical solution to eliminating nausea, but it will take more experimentation from someone with a scientific background and a stomach of steel. :-)
