Not a joke per se but something I used to do for amusement....
Back in the day before debit cards and when not everyone had a credit card, people wrote checks. Anybody remember that? I'm talking 1970s and before.
In the lower left corner of a check was a memo line, usually with For: in front of it. That's where you might or might not write in the purpose of the check, like July rent or car repairs.
Any time I wrote a check for something I felt was an exorbitant charge (like a fine, a towing fee or a car repair), after For: I'd write either illegal drugs or sexual favors.
It always gave me a little chuckle.
