Television while tripping

If it's anything like "Faces of Death" I'll pass...

No nothing like that. It's pure psychedelic eye candy, pretty good special effects, but a lot of dark, weird imagery. Psychedelic horror. Surely nothing anyone I know would want to watch tripping. The effects are annoying sometimes, just a very weird film.

I want to get a trip report on someone tripping hard while watching this movie.

I've watched it tripping several times. And several times sober. And various stages inbetween. It's a masterpiece. Somewhat clearly influenced by heavy acid use. Not that that matters. Film is a masterpiece. Learn it, live it, love it <3

PS: Faces of Death was one of my first "transgressive" viewings. In the UK possession of that film = jailtime at the time. Funny how these things change... Half the stuff in FoD wasn't even real (was presented as though it was though) and it outgrossed (ha!) Star Wars upon its original theatrical release in Japan. Go figure. As I believe the yoof did once say.

saw some previews and I don't think I even wanna see it sober tbh <3

They are definitely an experience if you are looking for it. One time I was so tripped out I couldn't get the DVD player to work. I remember pulling out all the cords and after a while just giving up. My friend just watched me from what I remember; I don't think he could get off the couch.

But there's nothing wrong with picking out a good movie and dropping. It's a great way to start or wind down a trip, but a lot of times I find I won't be able to pay attention long enough to finish it or get distracted by something else.

The first time we dosed we popped in Fear & Loathing. How High was great on shrooms. Dune: DVD Extended Version and Renegade are ones I highly recommend.

Then there's time when you just pop on the cable on acid and get lucky. For instance a few months ago I just happened to turn on Indiana Jones late at night and watched the whole thing. I also like watching sports, especially basketball.

And the TV show Fringe which they are playing coincidentally Friday's at midnight is one I keep ending up watching late that I really like.

People still believe this was all real!!!8)

Me, and everyone I know, first saw this as kids back in the late 80's, early 90's. For the people who haven't seen it since, it's like impossible for them to believe any of it was fake. They will defend it furiously, like I was talking about their mother. I showed most of them, and they reluctantly agreed, but those who haven't seen it since they were kids, can't let it go. Makes me laugh.:D

^ real or not, FOD and other "violence porn" bothers me. I made the mistake of seeing "three guys one hammer" once about some teenagers who were going around murdering people with hammers...it was pretty fucked up and something I wish I could erase from my memory ;)

Don't have a TV, I didn't want to do that much damage to the developing brains of my children.

I agree, seeing that stuff makes me feel unclean even when I'm sober... I can't understand taking a psychedelic and then watching something so perverse.

Watch the new transformers on a big HD screen in the dark. Other than that i stay away from electronics as a whole, i've had more than 1 trip go very south because of them.

Tripping and tv is amazing. It shud be called the 'poors man hd' as if u are on lsd watching a standard def tv it looks like hd and if you watch a hd tv it can look like 3d

The new Fringe episode that will air on 4/15 is entitled "Lysergic Acid Diethylamide"...anyone brave enough to watch it on acid? hehehe

I'd be a bit uneasy watching something like fringe on any strong psychedelic - the program is quite strange enough! (the odd few minutes here and there I've seen of it anyway).

On the other hand, looks potentially interesting to watch whilst sober.

Woah... thread! Lol

TV can be a bit flashy, quick... on the come-up on Psyches this can be a bit nauseating in my experience. But once travelling nicely, yeah, I can watch the Television if it's not anything too "in your face". As far as movies are concerned, yeah, they look GOOD tripping, especially ethereal things... Watched "The Company of Wolves" on methoxetamine a few weeks back. This move is gorgeous to watch, & has a superb "stories within stories" feel to it. It's also trippy, with dream sequences that are truly stunnning. My gf is a huge fan of British horror movies & she'd never seen this film, it's a proper lost gem. You see all this modern SHITE on Horror Channel & Sci Fi but you never see true genius like this. My gf says it's gone straight to her "best film of all time"! Yes, it IS a little gruesome in places but the old special effects actually amused me rather than shocked. Tried to watch "The Happening" on Methoxetamine a few months ago & THAT really freaked me out, couldnt watch it!

So, movies yes, actual TV... NAH! & censor anything a bit disturbing!

I tried to watch "the forgotten" on a trip but that was way too overwhelming for me...but then I've watched Dark City many times when tripping and even though that theme is similar and also scary in a sense, that movie doesn't frighten me I guess because the main character is able to fight back.

I have to wonder how some of the more visually amazing shows would fare on a strong dose of 2c-e...

I was thinking Alice in Wonderland and Avatar in HD, what other movies might be amazing like that?

Mescaline is the ultimate drug for watching TV, in my opinion. I generally don't like being around technology when tripping, but something about mescaline makes TV insanely enthralling...
