Synthetic Cannabinoids Thread

What if they discover an analog of say JHW-250 and it is better than THC???
Yeah WA changed there law from under an oz was personal and you just got a cannabis caution (i've had like 5 of these) to 10g. Which sucks cause you have to buy quarts.
Whats going on WA your laws are going the wrong way!

I am looking forward to trying some of the still legal synth cann this week. It kinda sucks that companys selling the stuff got this banned. I dont think they should be able to sell RC for smoking like that. What ray thorpe and these "herbal stores" do with selling RC for massive profit is the real problem. I'm all for them selling natural highs like schrooms and DMT.
But selling RCs hidden in tinctures and smoking blends that are not labeled in ingredients is wrong. I want to know what i am taking and what dose! Those people should be banned not the drug.
RCs should only be for informed intelligent research scientists like Bluelight members.

Put it this way, if these chemicals were created in a government approved lab, they would be legal, because I am sure there are some positive things which could be done, if the dosage is right.

I also agree, that all these "herbal high smoke" manufacturers, are RIPPING the money out of their customers hands. Lacing a herb which can be bought for a few bucks with a chemical which costs fuck all in bulk, then selling for 10 or 20 times the cost. That is WRONG! Every company is just competing to be the BEST product out...

They are all rogues and need to get their shit in check... Oh not to mention the dick head at WLH who doesn't know how to spell or actually answer customer questions in a sane way. I would never purchase his shit, has anyone ever seen where he makes it! LOL I drove past his house in QLD when I was there on a holiday, considering his prices, I thought it'd be a mansion... Not so LOL.

Again... drug_FUCKED did you ever try the ozzie chill xtreme or the budda smoke? Both were good, but vanished...

^ agreed.
nah i didn't i mainly got stuff from over seas and tried stuff over seas. So far most aussy products i have tried have been typically over priced and not dosed properly. Some companies will tell you whats in there blends and these are the only ones i am going to use from now on. Lets hope we dont see what happened over in the UK with the RC industry, but hey its better than what we got here.

LOL no joke, thats all my old bongshop used to sell before the marketplace it was located in shut down :\ :!

spacejunk you have been a member since may so you probably dont know. Your glad they banned it! what! what else are you glad is banned? Prehaps we should all just take the same drugs cause they been around for a while and thats what everyone else takes.

Little by little we loose our rights as adults as more and more things get banned. Once something is banned we loose the chance to study the drug and once a drug is scheduled is soo hard to get permission to study it. Personally i think australia is going backwards with drug laws when the rest of the world is decriminalizing cannabis we are recently doing the opposite.
I want to experience all sorts of highs. Not just the stock standard. Look what happened to salvia. I bet you aint tried that cause it got banned years ago. Which is a shame.

it is pretty presumptuous of you to say that my sign-up date reflects my knowledge, experience or understanding of how things work.
do you not understand that some forums can be used extensively without actively participating in them?
i don't really feel like it is necessary to have to explain this to you, but i've been reading this forum for a number of years. the fact that i haven't spent that time clogging it with useless posts, and that i took my time learning stuff before chiming in is out of respect.

yes, as a matter of fact i have encountered salvia, and i agree that its banning was arbitrary, senseless and undemocratic.

however, the circus that were created by synthetic cannabinoids - sold commercially and exploitatively to people wholly uninformed about the nature of what they were smoking.

i'm as opposed to the 'war on drugs' as anyone, but the situation was handled so irresponsibly by all of the various fake pot vendors that it was bound to force our reactionary governments to respond eventually.

rather than a well-kept secret amongst well-informed heads, the kronic (etc) cowboys went for the big money, the mass-market with a slick, commercial product and no mention of active ingredients or anything besides some side-stepping "herbal incense" BS. if this was kept underground and not marketed in such a blatant way, we might all still have access to the shit.

i know it sucks to have another thing taken out of our hands, i know it was convenient for some people to be able to buy this at legit stores with few supply hassles - but if we're going to ban everything else, it would be insane to think that a government in a place like australia isn't going to put an end to it.

frankly i'm amazed it lasted as long as it did, and i just hope that we don't find out in 10 years that these compounds have long-term implications.

and mate, i'm sorry if i insulted something you clearly enjoy - but they are a synthetic approximation of something natural and wonderful.
they are research chemicals sold to people who don't even know what that means, and some shifty entrepreneurs blew it for all of us when they got rich selling the crap to the masses in shiny packaging.

progressive drug policy is NOT letting people smoke this garbage whilst real marijuana is still illegal.

synthetic cannabis is another unfortunate side-effect of the war on drugs. it isn't the antidote or the solution to it.

the real thing is out there, the real thing is readily obtainable - the real thing is (in many cases) cheaper! %)

^ Good post. :)

I agree that the whole situation got out of hand, and it was obvious it was going to be banned eventually. If they went about it in a different way then I might have more sympathy for the businesses involved.

thanks mr b.
and drug_FUCKED - i can't reply to your message cos i aint reached bluelighter status yet. i ain't dissin' you brother.
peace.

^Only one way to fix that.

drugs!?
:D

haha, in all seriousness...i was going to reply to you that i'm in no way singling out you or anyone when i say that useless posts (like this!) clog up the forum and make it harder to retrieve the information you are seeking.
so...trying to inflate my post count would be rather hypocritical, eh?
i'm happy to agree to disagree on just about anything, but don't be fooled by my recent sign-up
:)
back to it then...

kronic debate

well the one thing that bugs the crap out of me is thesesynthetic canabinoids are so freely available off the net and in inscense in stores. it turns out to be or have benefits similar to weed minus the cost and research done on it. we can buy these but cannabis is illegal. its not like way more people are using these since there legal. mostly i guess the people who smoke pot use these. i think it stinks that because this product gets you high they ban it. i think any one over 18 should be able to make an informed choice what to take.
i love how drugs not ment for human consumption(yet) are changing peoples whole view on the war on drugs.
its great seeing a drug start out with no stigma attached to it.
another thing is the price of these blends they are more or equally priced to bud. bud is expensive as the black market controls it, takes time to grow, natural and high in demand.
these jwh chems are so cheap and so are the herbs people profiting that much is a real buzz kill to me. i have mates that make there own for a tenth of the cost.
i hope these pre made blends like kronic come down in price. i guess that wont be happening soon.
man the rc world is sooo intriguing.

Be careful of scams

All I can say is be careful of SCAMS. My other thread on this trying to warn people was edited/censored and closed apparently itś not BL... so I cant link to my blog exposing this guy who is named as a supplier in alot of the news articles about the stuff. Anyways all I can say is I have tried the official Ḱronic brand (from New Zealand I believe?) and it is just like the real thing BUT I have recently ordered a largish amount called ¨Aussie Gold¨ from an Australian supplier who I cannot name on BL who has been operating for 2 years and is now having a ´closing down sale/scam´, and it was totally worthless and BLATANT RIPOFF/SCAM. I received a baggy of underweight and psycho-actively devoid herbs with ¨Aussie Gold¨ mispelt written in black texter pen on the bag. No refund, ignored emails and a happy¨my lawyers have it covered¨ response to my demand for a refund. and iḿ not the only victim. Be cautious people. Peace

Scams? if you ask me they are all "scams"
lawyers really?
Whats scams i never heard of anyone scamming people with bunk herbs.
What did you get just herbs and no synth cannabanoids?
Please explain?
All those kronic websites are owned or run by the same guy.

When you open AusDD in big letters it has the rules. No sources; this is so people cant advertise or give the police more useful info.

Sorry to say but if the place you ordered it from didn't list specific ingredients (which many don't), then you probably don't have much grounds for legal action anyway. If it's a closing down sale I imagine they don't care if you're pissed off either :\

I guess it's another cautionary tale...

[NZ] Stop smoking fake pot, inventor urges

The American inventor of synthetic cannabis warns users to stop immediately or risk serious psychological problems.

"Do not use these products," said Emeritus Professor John Huffman, of South Carolina.

As an organic chemist at Clemson University, Professor Huffman developed the appetite stimulant JWH 018 - a chemical mimicking the effect of THC, the active ingredient in cannabis.

He said he was "not the least bit surprised" that the compound had been adapted to make cannabinoids, such as Kronic, which was widely available throughout New Zealand and Australia.

Asked for his advice to anyone smoking the product, Professor Huffman was unequivocal - "Stop".

"It can lead to serious psychological problems... It's not known if they are irreversible."

Imitation-cannabis products, largely manufactured in China, were marketed in the US as Spice or K2, and producers "wouldn't listen as long as they are making money", he said.

However, Professor Huffman stopped short of recommending NZ ban or even reclassify the product.

"It's probably useless. Marijuana has been illegal in the United States since 1937."

One person supporting a ban is Dr Leo Schep, a toxicologist with the Dunedin-based National Poisons Centre, who said people should take heed of Professor Huffman's warnings over the effects of synthetic cannabis.

"He would know this product better than anyone else in the world.

"If he said don't use it, I would respect that opinion."

Cannabis substitutes were probably created by chemicals such as JWH 018 and "spraying willy nilly".

Dr Schep said the poisons centre was the "ambulance at the bottom of the cliff". It had recorded a spike of 10 calls a month relating to cannabis substitutes, and expected that to rise to 20 this month.

"It is the tip of the iceberg. If we have a jump... that is a good indication something is out there.

Dr Schep has talked to staff at Dunedin Hospital emergency department concerning cannabinoids, including background information and symptoms. Cannabinoids were banned in Western Australia this month.

ED clinical leader Dr Tim Kerruish has said health issues include anxiety, increased heart rates and blood pressure and in one case seizures.

Associate Health Minister Peter Dunne says that restrictions on cannabinoid products such as Kronic could be expected within a week when Parliament passes amendments to the Misuse of Drugs Act 2005.

SYNTHETIC CANNABIS

* John W. Huffman, now a professor emeritus of organic chemistry in the US, synthesised many cannabinoids (such as JWH 18, which is named after him) that mimic THC, the principal active component of cannabis.

* Initial research into cannabinoids aimed to treat nausea and glaucoma and stimulate appetites.

* Two of Professor Huffman's cannabinoids were sold in Germany as K2 and Spice and have since been marketed around the world, including Kronic in New Zealand and Australia.

well i sure wont be adhering to huffmans warnings anytime soon. i love synthetic cannibinoids.sorry huffman message has fallen on deaf ears. well until something extremely bad happens i believe they are relatively safe when used in the right dose like anything.

^ But what is that belief based on? Although they were created by a professional organic chemist, there has been little research done on incidence of side effects both short term and long term, on it's metabolism and excretion in the body, etc...

It's a long shot to say they are either safe or dangerous, but sensible to say that it is reckless to use these substances without knowledge of what the risks could possibly be.
