Synthetic Cannabinoids Thread

^ that's very interesting. i'm fascinated by the efforts to suppress the retail sales of synthetic cannabinoids, and how they seem to be failing in australia.
it is nice to fantasise about this being the beginning of the end of prohibition, but i get the feeling it is just the start of another wave of reactionary regulation.

Whoops, posted in the other thread first lol. Anyways, I've had this new stuff ash, apparently made here, and this shit is nuts. Knocks you hard for a decent amount of time

^ Pot calling the kettle black much?

Seriously does anyone smoke these blends anymore who isn't being drug tested? I see the novelty aspect or the ease of going to a sex shop and buying a few grams when your out and your regular guy isn't picking up his phone... but actually using this stuff regularly for fun? Not only is it more expensive and less enjoyable than the real thing, fuck knows how bad it actually is for you. Each new blend you try is likely a plethora of new untested drugs that does fuck knows what to you. I think a lot of people make the mistake of assiciating these drugs with cannabis and assuming its a relatively safe type of RC to take, but as I understand it these drugs don't fall under the analogue act because they are wildly different in structure to naturally occurring cannabanoids? Assuming I am correct on that point it seems like a very foolish assumption to me that these herbal incence blends are safe to use whatsoever.

And now Demi Moore is in the news for apparently smoking synthetic cannabis and getting sick...

altho other sources say she was also using nitrous-
one of the friends at Moore's home on Monday told paramedics the actress had been inhaling nitrous oxide - a substance also known as whip-its or poppers that gives users a high by briefly depriving the body of oxygen.

I had a very odd trip once after eating some 'herbal incense'. It was around three years ago when there weren't so many varieties of the stuff here.

I ate a bit and headed out at to national gallery and then lunch at a Japanese restaurant after. Then a wander around Melbourne Central shopping centre because my girlfriend wanted to buy something.

At the gallery I felt mildly, and not unpleasantly, affected. It wasn't really like weed. Actually it wasn't really like anything else I'd tried. I had the distinct impression that there was water on the floor and we were ankle deep in it. Vision was slightly altered but I couldn't define exactly what was different. Mentally I felt pretty normal.

Then at lunch, I was chewing on a piece of sushi and BOOM it all hit, in less than a second I went from being slightly affected to being completely smashed. This was around three and a half hours after consumption. The food tasted strange and alien, my heart raced, I couldn't stop fidgeting, I felt a bit nervous, and simple sounds became strange and confusing. Walking around in the shopping centre I was bombarded with memories of walking through those same places with high school friends when I was a teenager. I grew up in Melbourne, so I've been to Melbourne Central and Myer since I was a little kid. I could see the place as it was when I was a teenager, rather than in its current state, as if my memory had become so clear that it had projected itself outwards. A flood of memories hit me; not special moments or anything, just mundane details that I couldn't believe were still in my memory banks. So clear.

Then I realised that I knew the person on the escalator in front of me. I knew the face but had forgotten the name and where I'd met her. Then I saw that I knew the person behind me too, but again, couldn't remember from where. Then, upon getting off the escalator at the top, I saw that the whole place was full of people I had known. They were all so familiar like I'd known them closely, but I couldn't make the connection of where/who... Of course I didn't really know any of them, but the the facial recognition part of my brain was in overdrive and despite knowing that it was logically impossible, I couldn't shake the feeling and stop staring at everyone.

It's the only time I ever had that experience on any substance. It was very disorienting but not really stressful or bad. Just weird.

How ridiculous that article claiming nitrous gets you high from oxygen deprivation, if that was the case why would people SPEND MONEY on it when you can hold your breath for free?! LMFAO

Why in the hell would Demi Moore smoke this crap? Surely she could get her hands on some lovely Californian medical buds which wouldn't of made her sick...

Just a quick note to let you know that we have over 400 responses to our online survey on synthetic cannabinoids, including nearly 300 Australians who have used synthetic cannabinoids at least once. Thanks to the many Bluelighters who have participated :)

If you haven't already participated, now is your last chance. The survey remains open until January ends (today and tomorrow). For more info go to the DS thread at http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/600786

For those interested, this is what is going to be added to the SUSMP with a brief written statement from the delegate.

DELEGATE’S INTERIM DECISION

The delegate decided to create a group entry for all synthetic cannabinomimetics except when separately specified. The delegate also decided that the following groups of synthetic cannabinoids be specifically included in Schedule 9 and capture any individual substances within that group which are not separately specifically scheduled. The delegate decided that an implementation date of 1 May 2012 was appropriate (i.e. three months after publication of the final decision).

Schedule 9 – New entries

BENZOYLINDOLES except when separately specified in these Schedules.
CYCLOHEXYLPHENOLS except when separately specified in these Schedules.
DIBENZOPYRANS except when separately specified in these Schedules.
NAPHTHOYLINDOLES except when separately specified in these Schedules.
NAPHTHYLMETHYLINDOLES except when separately specified in these Schedules.
NAPHTHOYLPYRROLES except when separately specified in these Schedules.
NAPHTHYLMETHYLINDENES except when separately specified in these Schedules.
PHENYLACETYLINDOLES except when separately specified in these Schedules.
SYNTHETIC CANNABINOMIMETICS except when separately specified in these Schedules.

Im guessing that this schedule 9 new entry has been designed to cover anything that is considered a Cannibinnoid. Guess itll be back to the Good ole Ganja for most of us :(

I fit the criteria. I smoke this stuff all the time, but I found it to be to expensive so now I buy the synthetics wholesale (JWH-xxx, AM-xxxx) and herbs wholesale, (herbs are really cheap).

i would've ended that sentence with a :)

i know that the availability of synthetics was great for a lot of people, but i really think for the sake of the health and wellbeing of a lot of users, 'good ole ganja' is a much safer option. sure, there is not much concrete knowledge about the health risks of 'synthetic cannabinomimetics' yet, but some of the anecdotal evidence on bluelight and in other places would suggest that some of these chemicals are quite dangerous, at least to some users.
on top of that, the mass-marketing (in slick packaging) of research chemicals to people who generally do not know the risks they are taking (consuming unspecified, unresearched substances) is a dangerous trend that only really took off in this country with the synthetic cannabinoids.

cannabis has been used by generations of humans since ancient times. it has its risks, but all things considered, it is known to be safe.

Anyone know anything about the synthetic canabinoids? Legality and strentgh

Edit your fucking posts. If you want to know about the stuff use Bluelight search. Do not, I repeat, do not bring this stuff to the public's attention.
