Synthetic Cannabinoids Thread

From further reading on BL it looks like it's made it's way into at least one blend before.Just read a pdf from Keyneurotek who have finished phase 1 trials for treatment of stroke/traumatic brain injury. Basically just says it's not very toxic - good to know nonetheless.

Hmm further googling hasn't revealed much more. Looks like this one doesn't have much of a history of use for it's psychoactive properties. Entirely possible the vendor is giving out disinformation.

Smoked them all, strange but ok feelings.

That K2 stuff is the best aphrodisiac ive ever had. Almost as good as coke. Whooa when you come.........crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got this question but, i have been addicted on and off to weed for 15years, i stop every now and then and find it hard at times, easy other times too. But a month ago my partner and i stopped weed and smoked the legal shit instead, and we did not once think about weed while smoking this for only 3 days to stop the weed.
So my question is is weed really addictive or is it the tobacco that makes you feel the addiction. Ive never come off it so easily.?

well I think one could safely say that weed plus tobacco will be more addictive than synthetic cannabinoids without tobacco it that is what you are comparing

it shouldn't really be a surprise that cannabinoid agonists make coming off cannabis a bit easier than going cold turkey, so maybe you have a winner to help get off weed if you so desire :)

:| are you serious? bit of common sense that one dont ya think eh 8);)

Although I do know a couple of old school speed heads (used to IV daily for years) that are actually fully addicted on a daily basis (now there off the speed) to just THC... They do smoke durries aswell (pack a day of PJ red) but never smoke with spin.. pretty much just 20 buckets a day of greeners 8):\

^^ I quit cigies two years ago, but smoke like at least 4 + bongs daily with a tiny tiny amount of drum just to help burn for spin, and ever since have realized how much more addictive tobacco is than THC.

Go overseas regularly and never crave weed like I used to when I smoked packs of tailor brands like Marlboro etc...

Can't comment on the legal shit as yet to have tried

[NZ] Legal high ban at mental unit

Mental health patients in a secure hospital unit are getting regularly stoned on synthetic cannabis - forcing health bosses to enlist specially trained drug dogs to search out the legal high.

The problem has become so bad at Auckland City Hospital's acute mental health unit that it was shut down and patients banned from day-time release normally considered part of their treatment process.

The legal highs had previously been identified as a severe risk to the mental health of people receiving psychiatric treatment. One of the only formal studies done on the effect of synthetic cannabis focused on the harm done to mental health patients in Wellington.

The problems had emerged at Te Whetu Tawera about six months ago and escalated to the point where the hospital needed to make major changes to deal with the issue, said psychiatrist Dr Greg Finucane.

The increased use meant access to and from the unit was stopped two weeks ago. "We lost a bit of patience. We cancelled all sorts of leave. We got the drug dog in to do a search. We stopped it for 24 hours."

About 20 per cent of the unit's 60 patients were regularly getting stoned, he said.

Synthetic cannabis products, including the Kronic brands, were available in dairies around the hospital.

The use of the legal drugs also defied the strict smoking ban instituted on Auckland City Hospital grounds.

Finucane said: "We'd rather they smoked cigarettes than smoked Kronic."

It was possible to detect the use of the products because of the patient's increased heart rate and puffy red face. He said combining their use with some health conditions could also make people more aggressive.

Staff were still deciding how to deal with the problem on a permanent basis. Options included approaching the dairies to ask them to stop selling the products.

Ministry of Health psychiatrist Susanna Every-Palmer studied the impact of synthetic cannabis products on those with mental health problems. Her study, published in the Drug and Alcohol Dependence journal, found the chemical in many of the products could bring on "psychosis in vulnerable individuals".

If you're concerned about addiction.. can't you just smoke the weed on it's own (no spin)? That's how i smoke weed when i have on the rare occasion. For some reason bongs/buckets make me cough like crazy - but joints barely do at all. Never tried a vaporiser. I imagine they'd be the smoothest. I think they're healthier and make the weed go further (so save $$$) too. I don't smoke cigarettes. I imagine a lot of people who smoke weed probably smoke tobacco too.

[NZ] Dunne pledges fast action on legal highs

Interim changes will be made to clamp down on synthetic cannabis before more substantive changes come into force, says Associate Health Minister Peter Dunne.

Auckland Chamber of Commerce chief executive Michael Barnett wrote to MPs raising his members' concerns about the products and about how slow Parliament's response had been.

Legislation was urgently needed to require manufacturers to prove their products were safe before they could be sold, he said.

Labour MP Iain Lees-Galloway backed the call.

"The public is rightly demanding the Government moves now to set up a mandatory proof of safety regime around these drugs," he said.

"That means when Parliament next sits, not next year as Peter Dunne has signalled.

"There is no reason meaningful stopgap measures can't be implemented immediately. We are testing these drugs on our young people. That is shameful and it has to stop."

Mr Lees-Galloway also called for a revision of the Misuse of Drugs Act in the long term.

Mr Dunne said he shared the chamber members' concerns.

"We have already indicated that strong additional amendments to the Misuse of Drugs Act will be the first item of business when Parliament sits again next week and those amendments will deal with synthetic cannabinoids and other legal highs," he said.

"They will be introduced by way of supplementary order paper at the committee stage of the legislation and I believe they will meet with strong approval."

Next week's amendments would be an interim step before the Government could legislate to reverse the onus of proof so the synthetic cannabis industry would have to prove its products were safe before they could be sold, Mr Dunne said.

"The Government has backed this Law Commission proposal and is now working to put a regime in place."

At present, products must be proved unsafe before they are pulled off shelves.

That happened most recently when a brand of the popular synthetic cannabis product Kronic was banned by the Director-General of Health because it contained the prescription medicine phenazepam.

lol probably because bongs and buckets send immensely dense smoke straight into your lungs.

There's the mental addiction to pot and the physical addiction to nicotine. Both can be pretty strong or non existent depending on your usage, amounts and what kind of person you are. Not really the right place to discuss it anyway, and most people know this stuff. If you don't smoke cigarettes but use tobacco in a mix/spin, you're probably better off drying out a couple nugs until bone dry and using that to help the cone burn better. Remember hearing something about the mix of tobacco and cannabis being far worse than each on its own, remember it being in a documentary or something so can't verify.

What kind of effect do the pure powders have on your lungs? Can't imagine they'd be all that good...but I guess you don't need much. Never bothered to try 'kronic' and wish I had now that it's banned.

hahaha hit the nail on the head with that one...

I know you cant remember where you saw/read this but I would really appreciate if anyone can post references to this.. I smoke 60% green, 40% spin on a daily basis and have done for about 5 years now so it is a bit worried when someone says something like that (also due to the fact I smoke cigarettes on their own :\ )

Yeah me too considering when I smoke I am always short of breath and about 5 hours into a day my chest starts hurting from cones..

Well looks like kronic is back with a new "100% legal" blend for Australia called black label! I wonder if this product will finds it way back onto store shelves!

It was bound to happen, they only outlawed a few synthetic cannibinoids but the list is almost never-ending. I'm guessing the next step will be a blanket ban.

It's on the news now, Kronic Black Label. I wonder if the metabolites for this one show up in tests.

I see a blanket ban on the horizon..

http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/wa/9933198/kronic-black-label-hits-store-shelves/

Police have continued their war on Kronic, confiscating thousands of dollars' worth of a new, supposedly legal product just a day after it went on sale.

Officers today seized the entire stock of Kronic Black Label from two Malaga shops that began selling it yesterday, despite claims from its manufacturer that it does not contain any of the synthetic cannabinoids banned in WA.

Police would not comment on the reasons for raiding the two adult shops, which saw officers emerge from the premises carrying large black boxes.

So far tried 4 different blends picked up from 3 different regular tobacco/glass shops:

K2 XXX Blueberry (Does not say ingredients on package) - Very subtle light stone, does not really taste blueberry at all, doesn't get
you adjusted much after the first session.

Hayze HAWAIIAN (Says on back of package "This product does not contain JWH-018, 073, 081, 200, 250, HU-210, CP47, 497". Also
states "This product complies with all local, state & federal laws. Test Batch" and a bunch of numbers after Test Batch.) - Very nice
feel close to some Indica chron. Did the job well first few times in the day; after that was a 15 minute stone. Very nice sweet taste
and looks the closest to shake out of all the blends I have tried.

Hayze Blueberry (Identical to Hayze HAWAIIAN) - Both Hayze blends I have tried feel the same to me. This stuff however taste and
smells like a straight fucking blueberrys haha.

Kryptonite Kush 10x ("Ingredients Damiana, mug-wort, marshmallow leaf, pukatea, vanilla and honey, plus artificial flavors" also states on front of package "ABSOLUTELY NO JWH Chemicals/Compounds) - most
definitely the most potent blend I have tried. Some anxiety, red eyes, shaky hands, increased heart rate, haha wow this shit is strong.

All blends that I have tried last about an hour the first time. Increasingly shorter every time after. I miss real weed. The Justice system is raping me. :!
