^^Still, I don't understand why they won't do it, when it's obviously available at Walgreens.
Maybe try another Walgreens?
You could try filling the script in FL where others have had success.

Thanks for the info, I will stick to the brand name Suboxone. Gotta love those orange swords.

Roxane Labrotories won Approval for Generic Subutex yesterday. No info on when it will hit the pharmacy shelves or price.
http://www.fda.gov/Drugs/NewsEvents/ucm130961.htm
The site is having issues on and off at the moment.
As of now there are no pending generics for Suboxone however.
For those interested here is a link to the Bio-equivalence trial they did on the generic a while back

I for one will insist my doctor switch me to a generic subutex if it is cheaper then a branded Suboxone, until a generic Suboxone is out.
Maybe try another Walgreens?

OMG Captin...I saw this picture and my mouth started to drool! LMFAO, where in gods name did you find this picture? I mean the size of it is huge! I was taking vicodin for 10 years at 50 pills a day then went on Suboxone 32mg for 7 yearsd, got tappered off and my last dose was 2mg in March 2009, well by April I went to my doc and told her I can not live like this and she got me back on 8mg a day. She said I will need to get down to an even lower dose but she thinks I will need it for life. Thanks for making me laugh today! Love the picture!![]()
Thank you for the info, I have been trying to find out when they will come out with generic for Suboxone, I was on it for 7 years and always paid full price for it at $8 a dam pill. Once in a while I would be able to get on the PAP and get them for free depending on my income, I did get them for free for 1 year. I know just got insurance and pay $50 a month for a script. But again thank you for the link and the info!!![]()
Newone,
I am curious about what prices you were quoted on the generics, I'm also in Norcal, and got a CRAZY range of prices on sub generics (well, the pharmacies that could give me a price anyway) and now I'm freaking out because I'm reading around that Walgreens is having a problem ordering them & my scrip. is sitting at a Walgreens, supposedly ordered last Wednesday, I'm very afraid on Monday I'm going to go in and they're going to tell me they are brand name subs because the generics were unavailable![]()
I found them over in NJ for around 3$ a piece for 90...but CVS had them priced at 5$ a piece and had them....and walgreens had them priced at around 377$ but you could get it down to 317 by paying 20$ for the prescription plan for the year..however they were on long term order.....this is all without insurance.....however it was quite a task because most pharmacies did not have them and they are on long term order....meaning the manufacturer is getting too many orders for how fast they are producing them....:D Good Luck in your venture...I'm just pumped i got them and for that cheap....and my doctor switched me, finally some good luck....
Good to know, Bobak. There's no talc in these as far as is stated here.
I am not familiar with all of these inactives, but the major nasty ones don't appear to be present (magnesium stearate is no good but it is not water soluble).
I cant even get it at my pharm. im told that ONLY Walgreens and CVS have them it IS ALL SUPPLY and Demand.
Now, all of a sudden, the price has increased several dollars in barely a month? Has anybody else had this problem? The pharmacy has fed me all types of excuses and all of them are different. Just curious. Thanks.
