debrutsid911,
you're not going to get the same effect ever again if you keep I.V'ing bupe in those dosages. Force yourself to limit your maximum daily dosage to 1 mg, I would do a total of either two or four shots a day up to that dosage. 2 mg of suboxone I.V is approximately = in strength unfourtunately to about 6-7 mg subllingual, and you know how that works after a few days. Your best bet at maintaining a nice buzz and rush with I.V bupe is to taper as low as possible and stay that way. When I shot my suboxone up, I didn't feel the benefits 'till I was doing a max total of about .7 mg a day, usually .150 shots. At that point you are below the cieling effect so you really feel the buprenorphine. Then you can also treat yourself at that point by doing a 1 mg or 2 mg shot here and there if you're really looking to get higher, but like I said, you can't really do that effectively more than once a week (or really for best results) once every two week. A lot of people think the half life changes when they I.V because the duration is so much shorter, but that's still not the case, so you do have to worry about the half-life build up just the same.
I'm going to cut down to 1 mg SL on monday. I'm kind of nervous and conflicted. I'm trying to decide whether to stay on the 1 mg, or after the 72 hour mark taper down to .5 for a day or two and just drop it from there.
Anyone know about how long it takes for someone who jumps off suboxone for there tolerance (to suboxone) to go away? I'm guessing that tapering down as small as you can before the jump is the best way to go, because say if you jumped off at .5 mg after stabalizing, I would think that it would take that much less time for your tolerance to return to baseline than say if you went CT at two mg.
The thing is that I don't want to quit suboxone forever, I just want to jump off it for long enough that I'm no longer dependent, and then use it at super low dosages once or twice a week to get high. I know it's probably wishful thinking but it would be fucking awsome if I could manage to do that. I know this though, once I do get through the withdrawal, i will make sure I never get stuck on this stuff again.
