Bupe Suboxone/Buprenorphine FAQ & Megathread v2; 2010

From what I've read IV use of bupe lowers the half life and leaves less in your system for when you next dose allowing more agonist effects from bupe/norbupe. I was wondering, does snorting or plugging help lower the amount of time bupe stays in your system more?

IV use of buprenorphine shortens the duration, the half life is still the same though.
 
Got my suboxone doctor appointment tomorrow. I'm going to need confess to a boo-boo mistake. We'll see how it goes... Honesty; always the way I communicate with my doctor.
 
Well i recently started plugging bupe i had been using a nasal spray device mixed up with suboxone and was snorting it but i wasnt filtering it at all and today i got a pretty bad nose bleed after about 3 months of doing this. i tried plugging it before with my saline/suboxone nose spray but i guess the saline solution acts like a enema lol. so I tried using water instead for plugging about 2 8mg pills and aboutg 5ml water lol nw people are going to say no dont do that! BUt infact the effect was very pleasant. and I believe it absorbs alot better since instead of swallowing the suboxone after 10 minutes when you use sublingual. when you plug the only real way to get rid of it is to shit it out lol.

to be honest I would Like to try to IV but I wouldnt know how to get micron filters or the syringe.

Also I have a question for you all. I would love you input on this captain heroin. if you click on the link above youll see that people are using Saint johns wort to metabolize the buprenorphine faster in the liver. they say that this will convert more norbuprenorphine. I may be wrong but when ever I look at auc/cmax values of buprenorphine the doctors always warn about taking grapefruit juice with buprenorphine because it raises cmax=maximum concentration of buprenorphine in your system and AUC=area under the curve. if you look at the ketoconazole potentiation of suboxone on the first page of this thread i talk about how GFJ and Ketokanozole will potentiate your suboxone,
am I wrong about what i said on my thread? because it just wouldnt make sense to metabolize your drug faster if you eat a hamburger and you take SJW your body will metabolizes it super fast and you will want another hamburger in a hour but if you eat a hamburger with GFJ and it makes you stay full for the day you wont need another hamburger for awhile. I just dont see from a scientific stand point how taking Saint johns wort would metabolize buprenorphine into more NORbuprenorphine, why would that make more norbupe. in my opinion if you slow your liver metabolism down you will stay happy and high for longer. I would love anyones opinion on this please tell me if im wrong about what i said
 
No matter if this works or not, it's a good reason for the elimination time to get shorter. Norbuprenorphine normally shouldn't play any major role in buprenorphine's efficacy as 2/3 of taken drug is eliminated unchanged with faeces. Anyway, if you induce some enzyme to produce more of a certain metabolite, you must also know that both buprenorphine and norbuprenorphine undergo 3-O-glucuronidation. I'd really try a full agonist at mu & delta and a partial agonist at kappa. And I'm actually quite mad at myself because by simple N-dealkylation I could get norbuprenorphine and I would know how different it is because the guy there is wrong about how norbuprenorphine weakly passes through BBB (source).

Doing it this way, I doubt that you would even get enough norbuprenorphine so it "gets through" as its effects are blocked by buprenorphine (another great proof that buprenorphine really is a drug for maintenance). Norbuprenorphine given alone would probably produce different effects (and strong as such oripavine analogs with one more ring and side-chain at C7 have a very interesing SAR). Anyway drugs with secondary amine interact with receptors worse than those with tertiary amine (like morphine vs. normorphine), so binding affinity of buprenorphine must be higher than norbuprenorphine's.
 
wait, the strips are already out? i seriously doubt the will stop making tabs and replace with strips. the only reason they are coming out with a new forumlation is because the patent ran out on suboxone. its a fucking game the pharm cos play endlessly. the term is called EVERGREENING.
 
Yo so i have been bang taning 1 MG in ther morning and one at night getting a pretty good effect and toanyone whos doing this at about 4 Mg total in the day so two and two ...
It only took me 3 Days to start getting fulll effect of lowering my dose to one and one. the way i did it was down from 4 to 3 then nnext day was 2 then next day 2.5 then 2 and after this I have stayed at 2 mg a day total since The ? I have is why after this 2 mg worked for like 2 weeks why all of a sudden would it stop working like it has????
 
My other thought was Cimetidine worked very well to increase effects i suggest it to eveyone else But...

So anyway regarding my ? above I am qurious about What you guys think would b the best beat to get this shit working again the last 2 weeks i that i did feel it life was great I never thought about drugs ETC. and that is amazin when i can b like that but since the light has gone ive been wanting to cop some shiz so if u guys can think of a plan for me please talk on it.

As of now im just trying to lower my dose I know thats what most of you guys will say but I have a really Hard time judgeing dose I would do that water way but I can't get that speicall water CAPTAIN HEROIN speaks about so. would normal water work if I put this solution into a stearil bottal every time. and I Live in the nashua NH so anytrhing spoke on in the ideas would have to b avalible in this state

TO anyone who doesnt know it DO NOT SHOOT THE GENERIC SUBUTEX it has a chemincal in it that the name brand Does not this chemical Ruins the vain causes Danger to you and is not a good IDEA The reason that this is the case is because the chemical is water completly disolvable in water so no amount of filtering will ever get it out. Please heeed my warning the Price diffrence is very large BUT is well worth keeping you around longer

well, after going off the bupe for a week and a half switch over to a very unsattisfying heroin habit, I'm back on the subs. However, I've also now been taking about a minimum of 2 mg of xanax or rarely clonazapam instead for the past three weeks now. The combination of bupe and benzo's are great. I know this isn't really news to anyone, and YES, xanax or benzo addiction is an ugly beast, but I find it interesting that in my oppinion, the effects of combining xanax/clonazapam and suboxone are much more similair to coming close to a heroin like feel then I ever got when I mixed benzo's with methadone. However, I only get this effect when I shoot the subs. When I sL and take benzo's I get way too sedated.
 
I can't not confirm this... But rather asking... Is it true that bupe injected alters it's pharmkentices? I thought I read somewhere it has to do with it's protein binding and ROAs.

Can anyone confirm, deny... Explain this a tad?
 
Ok so Im in a Suboxone and Methadone program for my heroin addiction. Been addicted for about 8 years and started the maintance program just a month ago.

Im taking 12mgs/day while lowering my Oxazepam dosage.
The plan is to go higher cause the dose doesn't keep me well the entire day really.
I take my dose at 1200-1400, I gotta behave good in the program for 6 months before I get to take home my Suboxone so I can't like take 8mg in the morning and 4mg at afternoon.

Will going to 16mg or 24mg make the bupe hold me for a longer time?

What are your experiences?

In my experience if its not holding you at 16 its not gonna hold you at 24 unless you are one of the rare people that bupe seems to have a high ceiling for. At 24mgs the side effects become quite apeerant expect extreme constipation insomnia or whatever side effects you already have to get much worse. If you have to go to a clinic anyway I would just switch to methadone it is so so much more effective.
 
I just went to my Suboxone doctor today. It's official. The United States is going to 100% switch from the pills to the strips. He said they are just waiting for the pharmacies to sell out of the subs (much like the oc to op switch) then the strips will be the only thing you get. My doctor also said that each strip will be individually wrapped in a serial numbered package that can be traced back to the patient whom's prescription it is... to try and stop the illegal sale of Suboxone. Finally, my doctor said that every Suboxone prescribing doctor will require each patient to bring in to their appointments, every single serial numbered package... again to try and stop the flow of Suboxone.
 
Im sure this question was answered in this thread. But would anyone like to give me any input on whether or not I'll be able to get high off of a decent size opiate dose tomorrow(Friday), if i've been on suboxone since last saturday... my last large dose being 4 mg last night ( Wednesday), and a very small ~1mg dose this morning?

gotcha, and out of curiousity, since ive been off my normal opiate and on subs for about a week , will my tolerance to my normal opiate be reduced or will it be the same/higher because i've also been on suboxone. As you can tell, im pretty new to using opiates recreationally.
