May I ask why? Are the risks of shooting suboxone higher than that of other pills?

My point is that we have two, highly-regulated drugs available to help with opiate addiction. Those of us on ORT must continually buck heads with layer upon layer of idiotic regulations that make us jump through hoops and limit treatment options to those in need. Apparently, the nalaxone in suboxone was a ploy to gain approval for use in the states. Does anyone think that the powers that be would love to add additional regulations if they felt it was being abused.
My feeling is that, if you are on maintenance and want to use, either ask for help or stop treatment and let it rip. No one sneaks by in the long run. I'm certainly no saint, and have done my share of cheating....and paid dearly for it. I don't see any clear lines here....but when the pages devoted to IV use of suboxone morph into discussions of micron filters and where to get them, it kind of seems a bit over the top.
I think if you want to use, go for it in the safest way possible. But please, don't abuse the few medications that somehow managed to be approved to help addicts. There are whole legions of folks who would love to see these options withdrawn, and search for validation of their own misguided reasoning.

The drug companies and lobbies will never let that happen and your suboxone isn't going anywhere so quit your preaching and whining and let us do and talk about what we want in here.
i dont see how you not answering my question is going to prevent suboxone abuse.
but mainly man , its not relaly worth it - sure u could shoot it .... but u dont wanna start fucking around crushing pills up and shooting em - have some self respect
If they were going to regulate Suboxone more, they would have done it already. There are millions of Europeans shooting Subutex or Suboxone on a near daily basis. This isn't new news at all, either. I don't think we need to be paranoid about talking about shooting pills on BL to be honest.Apparently, the nalaxone in suboxone was a ploy to gain approval for use in the states. Why? It's a good idea to micron filter anything you shoot that doesn't come in an IVable, sterile vial. Does shooting street drugs like heroin or cocaine seem "over the top" to you? You don't even know what's in street drugs. It's more pertinent you micron filter street drugs which are more likely to have bacteria in the product than pills are.but when the pages devoted to IV use of suboxone morph into discussions of micron filters and where to get them, it kind of seems a bit over the top.
Yes, but R&B is making too much money to let a bunch of hypocrites change anything. Additionally, methadone is also similarly abused as you talk about - it's still being handed out (in liquid form which seems easier to a naive person) daily to a lot of people. But please, don't abuse the few medications that somehow managed to be approved to help addicts. Yes, these symptoms could be signaling to you you're ready to start tapering lower to a more comfortable dose.Good evening everyone, I have a quick question for ya...
I've been on 8mg a day of Suboxone for the past 3 weeks. Lately I've had side effects like trouble urinating at night sometimes, sleeping way too much (like 12 hrs a night), and a lowered appetite. Could this be from too much bupe?
I've been thinking about lowering my dose to 4mg a day, but I'm worried about withdrawal effects. I don't know if I should go to 6mg for a while and then 4mg or just go straight from 8 to 4.
So what do you think I should do? Should I not even lower my dose and just take 4mg twice a day instead of 8mg once a day? Will that help alleviate the side effects without going down in mg?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Wow I just got a ton of goodies from the needle exchange. I literally filled my bag with stuff. :D I'll post pics in the exchange thread once I go through it all.
EDIT: Pics in this thread, I got a ton of free shit! http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=478534
LOL sounds fun! I always love going to the exchange for a bag full of works!
Is the preparation to IV suboxone diffrent from the IV prep for any other pill? i know how bad it is to IV pils and i RARELY do it. All i have is a cotton filter how great would the risk be trying to shoot 0.5mg-0.75mg of bupe?

Don't be worried about the WD effects from going from 8mg to 6mg to 4mg eventually. That's the easier part. It's the <2mg part that gets hard.
I would try 4mg in the morning and 2mg at night.
