Although I can't answer your question, I wanted to address this statement.
I find it fascinating that a 2mg or 4mg dose of Suboxone produces the same or better effects than a dose of 8mg or more. Because I, and several other people have been reporting the same thing for some time now.
I know the general consensus is that the naloxone in Suboxone is rendered ineffective by buprenorphine's higher affinity, but I can't help but think that there is some sort of plateau with Suboxone, after which the naloxone starts having affecting the experience. I just can't think of any other reason for this.
Does anyone have any more information on this subject?
^^ Gonna do abit of researching myself. Can't get it out of my head now, and I wanna agree w/ the person who mentioned hearing or reading that anything over 8mgs is a waste. I'd say that's true. About the "plateau" of Subox? I'm betting you're right on the money. This is why in an earlier post, after reading that an individual was taking "4" 8mg tabs daily (even prescribed I believe!?)
I just couldn't believe it. As a Sub taker, I have on occassion taken a 1/2 tab
in the afternoon, after my normal 8mg dose in the a.m., and wow, it's so good!
But then this other stuff doesn't make any sense, you follow? With a ceiling(sp)
of 8 already in my system, and I mean for a year now daily, how/why could an
additional 3-4mgs 6hrs later produce that jazzy energized feeling??
I add that only as insight into this mind boggling question about the lower doses. It throws yet another monkey-wrench into the puzzle. All I know is that
Sub is NOT supposed to get a person "high" (=euphoria), but it sure comes close at those lower doses we've spoken of, and hey...why lie? I'm an f'ing dope fiend and I wanna feel it!!!! Legally on top of that!
Peace out...%)
