its 7.30pm im going to my first suboxone app tomorrow at 11am.
my question is that enough time from 7.30pm to 11am to get my first sub dose?

i have a 600mg per day habit of oc's

also what should i get suboxone, or subutex...its the same stuff aint it?

i also take a low dose of xanax 0.5mg's 2 times per day morning, and night for anxiety...can i continue this regimen on sub?

also when im in wds my blood pressure is really high, what can i ask for to help with that?

thanks in advance.

it's not going to make a difference whether it's subutex or suboxone, they're both going to have the exact same effect. suboxone just has naloxone in it which will have no effect anyway. it's going to be up to your doctor what he decides to give you, unless you have a good rapport with him and can persuade him either way.

wait until you're in withdrawals to dose you're bupe otherwise you're going to throw yourself into precipitated wd's...the worst kind. albeit short, it is intense and every opiate users nightmare. your doctor will check your blood pressure regardless but if he doesnt mention to him about it and he'll be able to handle the situation from there. you will be fine continuing your usual xanax regime, but it doesnt hurt to double check with your doctor.

Your suboxone doctor isn't going to like you being on xanax. I wouldn't even bring it up; as long as you take LOW doses of xanax, you should be fine. Don't over do xanax while on buprenorphine. If you do, what will happen (in short) is you will start acting like you're 3 years old again.

yeah, one time before i ever had any experience with opiates i took 2 4 mg subutex without really knowing what i was getting in to- took them out of my sisters purse- and it was bad news puking itching and gnarly. i ended up taking the whole 8 mg a quarter at a time.

i was under the impression the dr was prescribing them the xanax already, i may be wrong. but you're right, a lot of dr's dont like to prescribe benzos along with bupe.

I've been looking and looking but can't seem to find a definitive answer on this..

can a person consume kratom tea while taking suboxone? I take 2mg subs/day (1/4 of an 8mg pill) and am wondering if it will block the effects of kratom??

I have only been on the subs for about three months, coming off of an OC habit

if I can't feel the effects of kratom while on the subs, how long do I need to be off of them before the receptors open up again??

thanks in advance for any help

cheers
stay safe

Does anyone get grouchy/bitchy when it's starting to be time to take their dose?

I take a very low dose, around 0.5mg a day, and I split it into 2 low doses which I take every 10-14 hours.

Anytime I had done this between relapses and for the first few weeks it was different than now. When I started to feel like I needed to take more sub, I would get unmotivated and depressed. Now I get angry and just start thinking negatively. I guess I get unmotivated still, but it's more because I'm angry and annoyed that I have to be doing whatever I'm doing.

Any reason for these changes or anyone else notice this when they start needing more? It's just weird that I've gone from sad to mad.

Hi, I am taking suboxone for depression/anxiety. I really want to get off of the stuff! I too feel very depressed/sad/mad when it's time for my next dose. I was doing really well and was down to 1 mg in the morning and 1 mg. at night but I was so darn depressed that I went back up to 2 mgs. twice a day. I would love to hear back from you (even a personal message would be fine). No one ever replies to me and I can't understand why. Hope to hear from you!

You could take 1mg three times a day.

Is there anyone out there taking suboxone or subutex for depression/anxiety? I would love to hear from you. You can send me a private message if you like. Larsy1566

Hi. I've been depressed for about 15 years and I've tried almost every antidepressant out there. Prozac was the first and it worked like majic for almost 2 years but then pooped out. Then I was prescribed effexor which worked pretty well but nothing like the prozac and I was on that for a few years and that also pooped out. I was diagnosed with major depression (which is the most common) and anxiety disorder. One day I hurt my shoulder and was prescribed hydrocodone and wow I felt so good, like normal (also took my chronic headaches away). I got a hold of my Dad's prescription which he never took because he has M.S. and it made him tired and weak. I did tell him that I was taking them because they helped my headaches and he didn't mind. Also my Mother was prescribed this after being in the hospital and she never took it either so I took her prescription. When I ran out I tried to get a prescription from my general doctor and she would not give it to me. I then thought about ordering over the web but was too afraid. I finally told my psychiatrist that I have been seeing for about 6 years and he said he was so happy that I told him this. He said that some people's opiod receptors are not working properly and therefore causing depression. He said that he would put me on this suboxone (which I never heard of) if I wanted to try it, so I did. I've been on it for about 8 months now and I want to get off of it. My whole family is very upset because they did not know this was an opiate and they do not agree with me taking this type of medication for depression. It has caused me so many problems that I can't even begin to tell you. My husband who I've been married to for 25 years is thinking we should get a seperation. I would love to hear back from you or anyone who has some advise for me. Thank you so much for replying to me. Larsy1566

Has anybody actually got off Subs

Im on day 5 with no subs and it hasnt been that hard, i just used some very very unorthodoxed ways of doing it. first two days i took xanax, the 3rd and 4th day i took more xanax and took adderall 30mgs to stay active both days. Today is day 5 and I finally slept last great last night 10 hours. I know its a awkward way of doing this but ive tried so many times to quit, at least 20. and this is the furthest ive gotten. Ive been on suboxone since last May 2008, i started with 16mgs and got to 4mgs a day before i quit. I searched and searched but havent actually found a successful thread saying they actually quit (just alot of crying and bitching). I just wanna say Bupe may have longer WD's but they are not as acute as H. Id probably rather WD off the H because it only lasts 3-5 days. but i didnt know this before i got on the Bupe. If anyone has actually quit and stayed off the Bupe lemme know how long and howd you do it.

whats up mikey mike...big up to texas by the way and the syrup conconction you's have created LOL anyways...umm yes ive been off suboxone for 110 days and counting....i was on it/abusing it (well trying to) for about 8 months...and just hang in there bro seriously...its gonna last a long time not to bum you out dog...i just started feelign better...and its been 3 months and change...its hard but you can do it you know...dont go back to H...who knows if youll ever get off if you go back...youve been on it over a year..its gonna be hell but you know what..its a reward when you start feeling better..maybe yours will work out better then mine...just hang in there and if you need help anyone will help u here or just PM me best of luck..

wow i didnt even answe your question fully...my guesstimate is..youl prolly feel the withdrawal for a couple of months...if not less..just hang in there tho..

There is a suboxone doctor who is a recovering fentanyl-addict who maintains the site suboxonetalkzone.com and he has a lot of useful info on quitting.

Also using xanax and then adderall to quit isn't uncommon, he has written about people using both in the blog I mentioned above.

Purple stuff huh!???!?! man thats my first opiate i tried when i was 16 lol man i wish i never started. I swear this shit sux bro i cant even get my ass up off this couch. my only motivation for doing this is my company just closed without notifying us and i get unemployment. so i always told myself when i had a few weeks off i would quit all this shit. so its been 5 days off subs serequel effexor and temazepam. Did you just cold turkey or did u take other stuff when u quit. and by a couple months u mean physically or mentally cause the first 3 day i seriously contiplated suicide bro i fuckin got in a car accident and i had to get the car towed cause the cop said i could drive it even though i lived like half a mile down the street. so all could think was just to end this shit. but i feel mucho better today. my legs arent restless and im not as sweaty. I do still have the runs though. If u say a few months man i dont think i can do it. Ill be out on the streets soon when this unemployment runs out.
