Stretched earlobes on chicks: what's your take?

I vote no on stretching ears... I like the way some of the 'plugs' or other earrings for gauged ears look, but they also have fake ones that look just as good! I think the OP's look fine where they are, just I wouldn't go any bigger. This is mainly because you are bound to get sick of them some day and then you'll have these disgusting floppy ear lobes. Trust me, my aging punk friends regret having such stretched holes. But everyone has their own idea about what is beautiful, and that's fine with me!

I really think the trend is gross and I wish everybody would just stop it. It looks weird, not pretty. Doing this kind of stuff proves that you have no individuality or independence as a woman because you are copying the other 10 million idiots who are doing this to themselves.

I should have been a plastic surgeon so I could make millions correcting these mistakes later on.

Good idea! Ear lobe repairing and tattoo removal is where the money will be soon!!!!!

Do whatever you like. Other people's perceptions shouldn't sway you either way.

I personally find it unattractive...

But really it's upto you; some people will love it!

as someone with a bit of ink and some history in piercings, i see no attraction to it at all. i mean, they were novel for a good minute but that was ten years ago when they were relatively rare.

i think back then i hadn't seen many without the piecings in, now that i have ..... ewwwwwww

My ex gf was an inch and a half.

Mine were an inch, now they're teeny.

I think they were beautiful, but any more and that beauty would have receded.

Anything under an inch isn't stretched ears fyi. It's a journey that has not been reached. It's cute, buuuut. it's not an issue.

i agree, puke.

I'm sure your track marks are SO much more aesthetic and visually pleasing.

Hop off the horse, jasper.

Small tunnels look attractive on certain guys to me. I used to have small ones and if you remove them you can heal and have normal ears. People who work their way up to the bigger disks... I have no idea what possesses them to do that. They're mimicking a tribal culture that they have zero relationship to, and they're fucking up their ears for life.

Another vote for 'no'.

It's one of those things that you'll end up regretting, unless you progress to a life of healing crystals, beanie hats and loose knitwear.

edit - oh, someone banned you (and your ears) :(

I love stretched lobes and all sorts of piercings for that matter.... never stretched mine though due to jobs and I always don't like wearing my hair down. However I hate anyone who calls them gauges, its so annoying.

It can work on some people. I've seen a few gals who have done it right, and one guy who had stretched ears, a stretched lip, and punctures in his nose on each side (beside the nostril) - I found it not too much, and was kinda attracted to him.

Do as thou whilt shall be the whole of the law.

I don't have any jewelry in my ears, they're down to half inch if that.

Yes they're not going away.

Do I regret them? Not at all.

I don't even think about them.

Whoever said 'people who do this will regret it' are usually people who haven't 'done that' therefore know little on the subject.

I regret nothing. The body is transient - starts falling apart as soon as you get accustomed to it in fact. Everything is.

Regret is retareded. Do what suits you at the time. If you regret, you're doing it wrong.

A woman after my own heart.

They're streched lobes. I hate that term. 'plugs' here in NY is also inferior.

I just like to mutilate myself call me an ascetic. I always punch 8 gauge holes in my back/knees every now and then, shoot hooks into them, suspend them from rope, and dangle in the air for 15 minutes.

Fuck LSD. That's where it's at, but I often combine the two. ;)

^yup, I use to work at a place that sold fake jewelry that made it look as if you had stretched ears.... It was the most stupid thing I ever saw and they even sold fake tapers. The worst thing is so many teenagers would buy them but wait, wait... ADULTS WOULD TOO. It was so sad. Oh how no fucks or regrets were given when I quit that job. Selling body jewelry to naive people was never fun. "What do you mean by 14 or 16 gauge?" Questions like those always made me want to just walk out and say peace.

Anyways I think I remember you posting pictures of you suspended in the air and what not. Never done it but seen it done before (in person). People get this awesome feeling from doing it but I'm not into it myself but it is interesting to watch. I also like to just pierce my body. I have many retired piercings but always plan to get more. Its weird but I love the feeling of getting pierced and it's not in a sadistic kind of way.

This thread makes me kind of want to stretch my ears. I mean I always wanted to but never did. My one friend was almost to two inches but got them sewn up. Now if his ears could be sewn up I'm sure anything else could be. Ahhh but I will just continue to fantasize about it for now. Getting more tattoos is more important to me right now.

By the way plugs is unacceptable here as well.

Body modification is a thing like washing your hair or eliminating trans fats from your diet. It's not a subculture and I really wish people wouldn't make it into one.

i approve of the fake stretchies and tapers. hell you get the appearence, but without the consequence. these things mean nothing more than appearence.
