Stop bashing cops

ninjanail said:
Wrong. Us rich folk have more to lose by getting busted.

But it's true that if you're poor, you're more likely to get harassed by cops. I think this is due to a combination of police focusing their efforts in higher-crime neighborhoods (usually the poorer ones), and the fact that rich people usually understand how to dress and act to avoid drawing undue attention from police.

who gives a fuck if you have more to lose. at least you had it in the first place.

try sitting in jail for even a few days and I dont' care who you are, you will come out HATEING police.

I can't count the times I heard "if I ever see that motherfucker on the streat I'm going to kill him" when I was in jail last. cops and the hired guards use this as an opportunity to talk ENDLESS amounts of the nastiest shit you've ever heard. insult you while standing with their face in yours an inch a way (you got cum in your ears boy? too busy suckin dick to listen? blahblahblah)

shit like "what the fuck boy. the next person who walks behind me gets beat" or something similar to that. from a guard doing count after someone walked behind him (oh no. didn't know that was a fucking rule) and then someone else did a few seconds later who didn't even see the original incident take place.

all it is is a bunch of loser assholes who would NEVER say or do any of this shit without a badge and a gun at their side. a bunch of motherfuckers who got picked on and shit talked to in highschool who would never have the balls to be a real man, and get their validation from picking on people all day long who can't do anything back.

talked to a kid who got his ass beat in jail after goin "what it do boss man" when the guard walked into the tank. the guy was like "what the fuck did you just say to me?" while getting in his face. and homeboy was like "what it do bossman?" and he took him out of the tank into the bathroom or another room. asked him again and then beat his ass with another officer. homeboy went to court and the judge said "what the fuck happened to your face" and he said "well your officers beat my ass for blahblahblah" the judge said the officer said another inmate did it, and to stop being a fucking liar or blahblahblah.

fuck cops. fuck harris county jail. and fuck anyone who likes cops. they can all burn in hell and I hope their kids get runover in the street.

ps: for anyone who would say "that's not right man the kids don't deserve anything" I don't give a fuck. no drug user deserves to be put in jail and have their life ruined either but I don't see most people complain about that? everytime I hear about a cop getting killed (esp. in the line of duty. for whatever reason) I smile a little to myself and feel a little validation for all the ones I've wished I could have a straight up fight with and beat to death.

You read the quote again.

"People here seem to be pretty rich or well off so they dont understand how it completely destroys your shit when the law gets put on you and you come up short"

That's pure bullshit.

And I don't care if you think my assessment was rude. Someone who has invested time and effort into being successful will probably lose everything if put in jail for drug use. Job, family, etc. It's not as simple as paying a fine. Please elaborate as to exactly why this observation is "ignorant".

It's pathetic that I was baited into this stupid tangent in the first place. Rich or poor, it sucks to have your rights violated.

he's not talking about having your rights violated man. he's talking about the afteraffects when you can't afford to pay your probation/parole cost. get locked up for violating becuase of that. get out again. same shit over and over and never being able to get out of the system because you cant' afford it. turning a one year probation into a few months in jail and three years probation plus shitload of extra money etc et c.

anyone who is decently well off get's on their shit. pays it off (a lot of times the whole fucking fine at once). can afford a few thousand dollar bail. can afford a nice lawyer to drop the charges down a shitload and save them A TON of hassle compared to a shitty court apointed lawyer who just wants you to sign on the dotted line so they can collect their $200 for you.

The police are a tool of the bourgeis to keep the proletariet in chains. To keep them down and under control. They are there to keep you in line. The cops are a fascists. They serve no one but there bourgeis leaders. They care nothing of our class strugle against the bourgeis. Instead they care about serving the imperalist empire for which they work for. A cop doesnt care about you he is there to repress you and keep you quiet and to keep you from thinking.

POLICE STATE IS COMING!

Fuck the police, some cops are alright but when you have been given enough shit by asshole cops and just had to eat it because theres nothing you can do just because they're cops, you can't help but have a serious hatred for them in general. I smile when i hear a cops died too.

So do you guys despise all politicians because one passed a bill you don't like? Do you hate doctors because one refused to prescribed a needed medication? Do you hate all landlords because you had one or two assholes to deal with?

Its stereotyping. I bet a lot of cops have similar sentiments regarding drugs users. Not all do, though. I have known (personally) several very nice cops. I've known corrupt dickhead ones too. I certainly don't smille when anyone dies.

^^ that is precisely what is happening here... gross generalizations. I can empathize with people who have been wronged by people in positions of power (my brother is in federal lock-up due to drug charges... not that he isn't guilty, but the punishment far outweighs the crime... 10 years for possesion and intent to sell-- WEED). Off topic quote: "Penalties against possession of a drug should not be more damaging to an individual than the use of the drug itself" -President Jimmy Carter. That is, if one feels drug use or sales should be punishable at all (I don't, unless it's to a child... basically I'd like to see the same restrictions that are placed on tobacco or alcohol (btw... should be 18 not 21)-- both far more deadly than most drugs. But, I do not condemn all cops. I have an old highschool friend who is now a cop, and I speak to him, perhaps, once or twice a year now. He often lets kids smoking dope off with a warning. He is a kind man. He works closly with his community (he grew up in the inner-city, works there, and chooses to continue living there. I would be quite heartbroken if he died in the line of duty. Yes, I have have met cops whom I would not shed a tear if they were to die, but I definitely would not smile or take joy in the fact that an anonymous cop had been killed. Again, you really need to take it on a case by case basis... as with anyone. Should I hate all white people because many of their ancestors took land away, raped, murdered, and brought diseases to my ancestors? Would that be justified? Well, I am also half Slovakian, so, I guess I would have to hate myself, and that's self-loathing.... and that's not healthy ;)

This has nothing to do with generalizations. Police are all representatives of the same forces in society - oppression and brutality. They willingly use violence to take freedom away from humans. Anyone in this position is scum, in my opinion. I don't care if you're a cop, a soldier, a gangster, or what... people who use violence or the threat of violence to get things done are pieces of shit.

"Police are ALL representatives of the SAME forces in society- oppression and brutality." Yeah, thank god you stayed away from generalizations. 8)
I give up on anything productive coming from this thread.

We've twisted the role of a peace ooficer so much that the job attracts a certain personality type.

I swear that 1 in in evry 10 law enforcement officers I see in my area are guys I knew in high school. The asshole, domineering, bully types.

They all are trained government officials who are brainwashed and poisoned and it's bringing out the worst in human nature. We are all animals (go into walmart on black friday and you will see what I mean by animals) but some of us more so than others because some people are like me and try to reject this nature or stand back and watch others fall victim to it.

All the cops fall under a psychological control and have their vulnerabilities able to be exploited any time to get what is wanted. Extensive records are kept on them and it's like a gang or brotherhood, they cover each other's tracks. They all have the same clothes, same look, same cars, same lies told to them and passed on, same bullshit filled into their minds for them to embrace and fight for without them even knowing it, the same books, the same tests, same procedures, etc. Why should they all not be generally the same?

It is in a sense like communism too. The way it works is to fool people without their knowledge (modern day more commonly) into accepting a belief system and making them feel so strong and patriotic about it, sometimes without understanding most or all of what they are actually believing in, and they defend it fiercely for those who are at the top and know what's going on. Power! Control! Psychological Warfare!

What I am saying is their minds are being raped into being servants of the devil either metaphorically or literally without them even being the slightest bit aware of it.

It is spelled out right in the Matrix:

Morpheus: The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around and what do you see? Businessmen, Teachers, Lawyers, Carpenters...the very minds of the people we're trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system, and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so innerred, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will that they will fight to protect it. Are you listening to me, Neo? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?

All kinds of people, it doesn't matter how different they are from one another, fall victim to it. You want to save them, to make them see. They are a part of the system and support and allow it and give up freedoms to give it more power and strength. Most people aren't ready to see the reality of what they are trapped in and the lies and disgustingness and filth they have been living in. How fake it is! They are dependant with charities and loans and social security and grants and loans all funded with tax and interest which may or may not be going to it's rightful or said location and/or purpose. They all fight to protect it because they need it even die for it and fight wars for it. "You have to free your mind." You have to do what they tell you that you cannot do. Ah, the woman in the Red Dress. Neo was looking at the eye candy and not listening when people like me try to spell it out for him and 'save' people. The government gives us plenty of what we think we need and want, instead of what we really need. Distraction and smoke and mirrors.

EXACTLY.

so many of these people care nothing about the law, they just want to be able to push people around knowing that nothing can happen to them.

The police where there to protect us orginally. But they saw there chance to be occomplices of the bourgeis. Siding with the bourgeis they are class traitors fighting for the enslavement of the proletariet and will fight to the death to keep the bourgies in power and the proletariet oppressed.

yessssssssssssssss.

man all these guys might know what the laws are, but do they understand them. understand the intent behind them. or even understand the reason to have all this shit in the first place. do they even look inside themselves to see if they AGREE with the laws they are enforcing?

shit used to seem more passive. like they were there to help you when you needed, to stop shit from happening etc. now they seem to have taken on a more active roll in going out looking to bust shit up. if drugs weren't illegal and all the bullshit that went along with it was gone, I might have a different opinion about police. then again there would hardly be any prisions in the country, i'm sure the crime rate would drop something like 90%, the police force would drop down about 95% et c etc etc

basically the police are a representative enforcement of laws I don't a gree with. those laws and the police are used to oppress the masses and kinda heard everyone into thinking the same way. keeps everyones eyes closed so no one actually realizes how bad they are getting fucked by the people in power, and people actually think their lives rule.

i just repeated what homeboy above me said and made it longwinded. but oh well.

that's why i hate police

the police are kind of like the military but except they dont carry around rocket launchers. They do kill people and are scumbag fascists.

Prison is not nice nor well kept or enforced internally for defending you. It's gangs and rape and deals and payoffs in there too. We definitely have too many people in there that shouldn't be in there and it costs money. Then we have too many to support the money is spread so thin that each new jailed person makes the quality that much less living conditions.

The way we evolved instead of revolve or devolve is to ask questions. Question everything. I do this all the time and when you understand almost anything in the world correctly, even if you have to research it, it looks so much different and you live better. The cops don't bother learning why like you said and it's not just the cops. Education is in a shambles and it's learning facts, not comprehending WHY. If you try to ask why, which I wouldn't recommend, the cops don't know and beat you arround or act like you're sassing them and always think they 'know' even if it means harrassing you or slapping a false charge on you to get you for something else. They are too selective in their enforcement.
