Bluelight V1.0alpha ReunionI still remember the first time I met you, and PKat too!
All thread topics should follow the format of including the *name*, *date*, and *location* (at least the city and venue also if possible) of the event. NO exceptions!
If you post the thread about an event, make sure to put the lineup, price, venue, age, etc. in the post - basically all necessary info they give on the flyer or website.
Any discussion of illegal activity will be edited/deleted from posts in this forum, NO EXCEPTIONS. This rule will be strictly enforced.
Events should not be posted more than one month in advance. Posting too early tends to cause really long threads consisting primarily of bumps. An exception will be made for monthly schedules.
No double posting! If there is one thread open for an event, then don't open another one. If you happen to post a second thread for an event, please delete it yourself. Only one thread will be allowed for an event, so all information, including things such as guestlist info, should be in that one thread.
The ONLY time a second thread will be allowed for a single event is when a thread has grown very large, in which case the original may be closed and a new thread created for continued posting. (over 60 posts or so is large, depending on the length of posts)
Roll call threads are allowed. However, there can only be one roll call thread per state or large city or region. Roll calls for certain colleges are not allowed. Those belong in the roll call thread for the city, state or region your school is in.
For people visiting the NE from other areas that want to find out what is going on, please do not post a thread such as "What's happening in NYC on such and such weekend?" The events forum is kept clean enough so that someone visiting the area should be able to easily spot which events are happening when they are in town. Another possibility would be to ask in the roll call thread because you will get responses from locals.
Threads for weeklies/regular events are allowed, however only one thread per weekly is allowed - this thread TOPIC must include the day of the week, the venue (if known), city (just like any other event thread should include), and some indication that this is a weekly or regular event. Other information that should be included in the thread should be: schedules/lineups (if possible), and any other information available (time, price, ages, dress code).
All events in this forum should be public events. Do not post information about private house parties in this forum. Please use e-mail to contact those invited to small gatherings, rather than posting about them here so anyone and everyone can see.
This forum is only for events and other related issues going on in the Northeast! If you want to discuss events going on in another location, please go to that particular area's events forum.
Threads in this forum need not pertain to parties and club events only. Anything that might be of interest to yourself or others can be posted here - such as museum exhibits, speakers or rallies, festivals, bands, etc. Just make sure when posting you follow the thread topic guidelines and the events are public, legal events.
A few days after a post has been closed, it may be deleted to keep the forum looking clean.
Moderators will use their own discretion when editing or deleting posts. Please do not complain about this because it is for your own safety as well as the safety of Bluelight. If you wish to discuss a thread closing, please email the responsible moderator.
Personal attacks... there's no place for them. Period. If you have an issue with a moderator of this forum, contact them privately, NOT through posting here. These types of posts WILL BE edited/deleted.
nothing about not being able to talk about meet ups. heck just about every thread has something about a meet up in it.

For more formal meetups use email; but for anything else, we're best waiting until the date more closely arrives.
The event is still in one month from tomorrow and this thread will likely grow into a second, if not a third.

Apparently Jen can't be bothered reading through the pages of this thread.![]()
Feel free to discuss what you'd like now, but considering the time that will elapse between now and then it's probably not wise (a la BeeR2).

That sounds like fun kasper, but it would take a level of organization, and who wants to do that?I vote for kasper to come up with the catagories and take votes.

As for talking about a meet-up,... please let's keep that all off the board... as a person that was present at the florida debacle I can tell you that you don't want ANYTHING like that happening to you (and I wasn't even one of the people that got arrested, I just had to witness all of it). Those of you who were not around when that went down (ScaryRaver!) have no idea just how bad a meet-up can go wrong... Feel free to talk to me off-board if you don't know anyone else, since no one else is offering up any help. Just keep this stuff on the DL, please. I'm trying not to be too paranoid, but it's difficult.
