well, i attempted to throw together a mailing list... it was fucking difficult with so many pages of replies, and then 45 minutes into it, my fucking computer crashed.
someone else start one. argh.
and might i add, not everyone has email addresses viewable.
i give up.

Hey guys,
I've just finished the Email_List. I think I've gotten pretty much everyone - took forever. I've skipped GreenLighters and a couple of BLers who are obviously not going. If any BLers want to vouch for Greenies, that's cool. I'll be adding new ppl as they post here, provided they're BLers with more than 50 posts (or are vouched for). Luckly, there weren't any people who just turned BlueLighters.
I also threw together a small site from which everyone can send a letter to the list. Simply fill out the fields, type letter, and click Submit. Our email addresses are in a database behind that page, so everyone who's on the list should get it shortly. This took my almost 2 hours to do, in straight HTML nevertheless, with no editor software. :D

Common Sense and Personal Responsibility
1) Drugs are illegal, no matter how you look at it. There is a certain amount of risk, even if only very slight, that goes along with doing anything illegal. Remember that no one is to blame but yourself, should anything unfortunate happen with the law. (And yes, we learned at BeeAreTwo, that even just being in a room that contains drugs makes you an accesory, and you can be held liable, and charged with a crime).
2) If the level of risk involved is more than you are comfortable with, do not place yourself in a situation where you may get in trouble. This includes being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's still you're responsibility, and no one elses. Life will go on if you don;t get to meet any uber cool bluelighters.
3) Drug Use - Being under the influence is *fairly* safe (There's always something they *could* grab you for, if they could prove it), but that doesnt mean you can act like a moron, and run through the halls, and do stupid shit. Like Driving. Not only are youdrawing attention to yourself, and increaseing your personal risk factor, but your stupidity is endangering everyone else that is there as well. Being fucked up does not mean you have the right to be a retard.
4)When you're at a public place, like a hotel, don't carry *any* drugs on you. None. If you don't have anything on you, then you can't get busted for possession. It's as simple as that. If you must insist on carrying drugs around, like, say, to another persons room, make sure *beforehand* that the peeople who's room it is don't mind. Believe it or not, not everyone is cool with people bringing drugs in there room. (Or just leaving storing/leaving them in your room, like me. I'm a paranoid fuck. I did a lot of stupid shit back in the day. Now I don't. I just don't feel like going to jail for something stupid like drugs. Especially someone elses drugs.)
5) You know if you're doing something that may risk getting yourself and even your freidns in trouble. Think with your brain, not with a tab of E. You're all big boys and girls.

Hey party kids,
Just wanted to give you heads up as far as the email thing - everyone who's on the list should have received a Welcome email and even a couple of emails from other members already. However, I'm noticing some people who are already there are trying to subscribe themselves again. This is probably because of one of two things:
1. You simply missed our emails because they come from Edward B. and not one of the names you use to get emails from. So make sure to look for these emails and subject is usually something about bluelight.
2. And this is more likely: You have your junk mail protection set too high. The way the emails are forwarded, all of our addresses are basically in the BCC fields, not in the CC or TO fields. This is done mainly so that we don't have to scroll thru everyone else's email address to look at the message. However, if one of your custom filters in hotmail or elsewhere said: Only allow messages that have my address in TO or CC fields - obviously our email will go straight to junk mail folder (or even to trash). So check the filters and check those other folders.
And yes, new people can subscribe themselves using the same link found here, or you can simply post in this thread and I'll add you, just add something like: I want to be on the list (and make sure you have 50+ posts or know some other BLers).
