songs you feel in your bones

In Flames - December Flower

Adriano Celentano - Giornata Nein

Cypress Hill - Tequila Sunrise

Beethoven - Der Sturm/Tempest (The Allegretto part in the end especially)

Arch Enemy - As the Pages Burn

Not very unlike Nietzsche. The failed musician tried his best to hate on the rhyme, but secretly loved every bit of it methinks. He had Polish roots. Lol.

Here are the two most poetic songs I've ever heard. The lyrics are absolute spoken word poetry!

Iggy Pop & Underworld: Bells and Circles

Elvis Costello: Beyond Belief

-from the land of Black Tar and Green Chile

When I feel depressed and dark, this is the song I go to, for years now.

@Pinkbeam so not only are you gorgeous, but you get down to Slipknot.
A girl after my own heart!

(I grew up in Iowa so pretty much...Slipknot is worshipped there straight up...
I am a sucker for the "Iowa" album but all their shit takes me back...
when I discovered metal, I learned that it's okay to be angry all the time
I'm not alone) <3

Awww, you are too kind!! Thanks, Love. 💚
That's cool you grew up in Iowa. I'm a sucker for Corey Taylor. I love Slipknot, his solo stuff, and especially Stone Sour. CMFT.

By the way, this is about music that you yourself would never include. And just heard somewhere in advertising, on the street or on the radio. And here you go, you beat the rhythm with your whole body, you try to sing something and at the same time you don't even know who is singing this song.

Or it's about a song you love so much, words cannot express, it makes you whole, you feel it in your whole body, it captivates you.

"Drive" by Incubus

It's essentially about not letting fear dictate how you live your life. I also feel that it really speaks to addiction and trying to make a conscious choice to overcome/battle it.

"Drive"

Sometimes I feel the fear of the uncertainty stinging clear
And I can't help but ask myself how much I'll let the fear take the wheel and steer

It's driven me before, and it seems to have a vague
Haunting mass appeal
Lately I'm beginning to find that I should be the one behind the wheel

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there
With open arms and open eyes, yeah
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there, I'll be there

So if I decide to waiver my chance to be one of the hive
Will I choose water over wine and hold my own and drive, oh oh
It's driven me before, and it seems to be the way
That everyone else gets around
Lately, I'm beginning to find that when I drive myself, my light is found

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there
With open arms and open eyes, yeah
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there, I'll be there

Would you choose water over wine, hold the wheel and drive?

Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there
With open arms and open eyes, yeah
Whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there, I'll be there

"Under the Bridge" by The Red Hot Chili Peppers

This is a song that reminds me of what it was like in heavy Heroin addiction. It's crystal clear in my mind to this day (8 years later). Never again.

Sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner
Sometimes I feel like my only friend
Is the city I live in, the city of angels
Lonely as I am, together we cry
I drive on her streets 'cause she's my companion
I walk through her hills 'cause she knows who I am
She sees my good deeds and she kisses me windy
Well, I never worry, now that is a lie
I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
Yeah, yeah, yeah
It's hard to believe that there's nobody out there
It's hard to believe that I'm all alone
At least I have her love, the city, she loves me
Lonely as I am, together we cry
I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
I don't ever wanna feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, no, no-no, yeah, yeah
Love me, I say, yeah yeah
One time
Is where I drew some blood
(Under the bridge downtown)
I could not get enough
(Under the bridge downtown)
Forgot about my love
(Under the bridge downtown)
I gave my life away
Yeah, yeah
Oh, no, no-no-no, yeah, yeah
Oh, no, I said, oh, yeah, yeah
Where I stay

Never gave a fuck 'bout dying, no
Even when I was a jit, woe
Pop a jig, load the rig with that motherfucking china white
Fuck it if I die tonight, I'm gambling with my fucking life
West Bank/Northside 'til the coffin ride
Who am I? I am god, I am Basquiat
Yung Kurt Cobain with the scarred veins
Mentally derranged, hear the crows say my name ($carecrow)
I'm just wasting my time, I'm just wastin' my breath
Why can't I just die? Why can't I go next?
Why we get no respect? Why I loved holding TEC's?
Xanax bar on my neck, I pop 'em, pop 'em to death
This ain't no motherfuckin' trend, everyday feels like the end
Feed me, feed me medicine, so I can't feel my sins

My favorite Cannibal Corpse lyrics will forever be, to the song,
"Entrails Ripped From A Virgin's Cunt"
but really, I mean, all their tracks are delightfully over the top goretastic...
and it warms this bitch's heart

Tomb of the Mutilated has some great zingers

I don't really like their style, I prefer Death, or some Göteborg bands,
but their lyrics are just hilarious
