Songs that havent aged- get into an argument here!

Tommorow Never Knows - The Beatles
Explain how this has aged. Anyone? Anyone?
------------------
"I be the fire only Marley could catch."

Timeless classics? Maybe these are songs that we hear and say 'Oh, I love this song!', ones that take us back to another time and place...
Bob Dylan was one of the most magical creators who ever existed. Jim Morrison too.
Anything by Janis. Right on Elliven.
Grace- Jeff Buckley
Stand by Me- I forget who but everyone knows it
Sweet Jane, Heroin- Lou Reed
She's so Fine- The Easybeats
With or Without You, One- U2
Sound of Silence- Simon & Garfunkel
Dreams- The Cranberries
Hazy Shade of Winter- Bangles, then Bodyjar
Tom's Diner- Suzanne Vega
Has anyone noticed, many of the songs mentioned in this forum are the only good ones by the artist that made them? eg I loved Sound of silence but hate most of S&Gs other stuff...

What no grateful dead on list, unbelievable. No sublime, either. Sublime was definately one of the best bands of all time. Just pick any of their songs
Peace

Tainted love and Major Tom have come up YAY!
How bout REM's 'Losing My Religion'?
Blues, hmmm I could go on for a while, but my knowledge is limited and my memory is lacking
So I'll just continue with some D&B/Jungle classics if yers don't mind
wink.gif

L Double - 'Da Bass Too Dark'
Prizna??? - 'War in '94'
'36 CHAMBERS' BABY!!!
straight from the brain
now we .... ?give you to the? pain
anger, coming from the 36th chamber
A joint venture between Kenny ken and Dr S. Gachet was always going to create something absolutely fucking amazing, 'EVERYMAN' was a result
Prizna's - 'Fire' Fuck yeah, jungle from the mid 90s is what I love more than anything (except a certain girl, meth, and my cat Tux)
Alladin I think - 'MASH UP YER KNOW' fucking amazing at a riiive (ummm when there used to actually be jungle raves)
'Blue Flowers' - originally by Dr Octagon, and mixed far too well to remain a mediocre track by the one and only DJ Hype
DJ Zinc's - 'REACH OUT'!!!! Mixed up by the likes of Hype and Aphrodite to classicdom (and by myself just for the memories)
Dj Rap, whatever she's done. She fucken roxxx!! Fuck MOS being an over 21 club. I think that's a good thing and all but I went to go see DJ Rap on new years day and couldn't because of it
Heaps of stuff by Renegade, E-Z roller (have I mentioned them b4? They're worth two mentions), Omni Trio. And a few Randall tracks.... at least one anyway....can't remember name
heehee I never realised there are so many classics! These are just the ones I can remember names of track and/or Artist for. I'm not about to start things like "that track on the Greg Packer live at Helter Skelter '94 tape with the 'Jonny' sample"
heehee
Just a few more and that will be it (for today)
Kings of the Jungle - Jungle Theme (its a classic even just for the artist/tittle combination)
Nookie - Moment in Space
hmmm these last two are classics, but only just, maybe i'm starting to search. Oh well, I'm stopping now anyway
------------------
ultimately, we just want to be happy

its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.... SCOOOTER!

hey - my sig.'s from "one of myn turns", off "the wall (pink floyd again.
it also contains the classic line:
"run to the bedroom in the suitcase on the left you'll find my favorite axe"
a great album for someone who thinks they're losing their ming, and needs conformation.
yay! this is off topic!!!
------------------
"would you like to learn to fly?
would you like to see me try?"

hey wizzfizz.. megablast!!! i LOVE that song!! but if i remember correctly, my 12" came to a sorry end at the hand of my younger brother when he went on a frisbee freethrow, aiming albums and 12"s at the wall till they all stuck out like weird shelving. it was trully *horrible*.
anyways, do you have a copy of megablast?? i would kill to get a copy of it. email me?

------------------
Why was the lion afraid?
Because the Jungle is mAsSiVe

Dude, don't they teach you in English classes not to take language literally all the time?
And is your handle any reference to a particular japanese band? ( i'm thinking, it SHOULDN'T describe a state of mind...)

uuuhh..LUNA*C, the reason the songs are so dated is because we're discussing tracks that haven't 'aged' ie 'timeless tracks' ... it;s pretty hard to call a track timeless if it only came out last week
smile.gif

I have another.
Pass THE dutchie - Musical Youth
I sed to LOVE this song when I was about 9 or 10...(i didn't know what it meant then
wink.gif
) I think it could have ben my first musical crush. Musical youth
smile.gif
