So who likes benzos? El Benzo Threado Spectacularrrr 2nd Edition

^ 15mg is two pills, they should at least have given you two pills of temazepam.

tried some Mulungu powered root last nigh. It reminded me a fair bit of xanax. Short high, Sligh coordination impairment, headspace was changed to but I can't really remember it enough to describe it. Also slept in more than I have been lately. More experimentation is needed!

Just a heads up to madmunter and whoever else can't get benzo's, worth giving it a go imo.

^ I got some a while ago but didn't like making the tea and the effects were a bit weird for me. I am considering doing an extraction on it though.

Hypnodorm and xanax are my fave but all benzos are just way too easy to abuse, the tolerance starts day 2.

Is this a prescription medicine or OTC?

Edit - I used my friend google and have found a website about it, will be looking into it.

Mind PMing me the extraction?

A well known "herbal" company stocks it.

I found it to be quite different to benzos. It was nice but at the same time seemed to have a strange edge to it and it did not help with anxiety or sleep one bit.
Maybe slightly similar to a high dose of phenibut in terms of the dizziness and strange edge to it.

got prescribed oxazepam 30mg for anxiety associated with ssri discontinuation. Anyone got any experience with this benzo? Is 30mg equivalent to 10mg valium?

^ According to a commonly used benzodiazepine equivalence chart, 20mg of oxazepam is equal to 10mg diazepam. Your mileage may vary of course, and I have read lots of posts from BL'ers on here saying that it is weaker and not that recreational.

Personally, I liked oxazepam. In fact, I liked it better then diazepam. I used doses from 30mg to 100mg.

There is no extraction as of yet, I was going to do some experimentation with polar and non-polar solvents and see what happens. All I can find online is that a mescaline style A/B yielded about 10mg of something that didn't do anything. The poster then talks about maybe trying an alcohol extraction or similar. I'll have to think about it when I'm sober. :)

Those charts are used for detox conversions mainly as diazepam is used for detoxing and tapering off all benzos..
They say 2mg of clonazepam is 8 valiums. I tend to disagree. With no tolerance 8 vals would surely make me more sedating and "high" than one rivotril.

^ I have to agree with you on this one, I notice many charts claim 2mg of alprazolam to be equal to 40mg of diazepam, as a matter of fact I was discussing this with a friend earlier. Realistically I find 2mg of alprazolam to be roughly equal to 20mg of diazepam, I suppose I could maybe go as far as to say 25mg just because it hits a bit harder, but then it has a considerably shorter duration...

However benzo equivalency is never going to be clear cut, both due to individuals variances in how they handle drugs and also because there is not complete cross tolerance between benzodiazepines.

For me, diazepam tolerance builds quickly and doesn't go down as quick as opiate tolerance, it seems to linger. So if you've ever had a binge on valium, those comparison charts are going to be off. 2mg xanax gets me off my head, but 40mg of valium would be just wetting my appetite for more, recreationally, it works for it's prescribed purposes though.

^ yeah I've noticed the charts are a bit off too. i find valium to be more powerful than it is given credit for in those charts. I much prefer it to xanax. just because it doesn't smash your around as much, its alot more functional.

i've been rxed oxazepam. Its pretty good. very similiar to valium, though it doesn't last as long. very effective for anxiety - even at half a 30mg tablet which is supposedly equivalent to 5mg valium.

BTW, if you have had a previous benzo addiction does tolerance and addiction return quickly if you recommence taking them every day? I'm taking some for anxiety which should hopefully clear up in a week if this ssri discontinuation syndrome fucks off. I'm sticking to close to theareputic doses (taking 15mg to 30mg extra than the doctor said a day - which is only 5 to 10mg of valium equivalence extra). shouldn't be a problem right?

last thing I want is to have to go through benzo withdrawal concurrently or after zoloft withdrawal.

^ I would assume that a previous addiction would make tolerance build quicker than a benzo naive person, but I don't know for sure.

I'd love to try some of the other benzo's, oxazepam sounds like one I'd enjoy. I think I'd enjoy clonazepam too much, I'd still like to give them a try one day.

Mates, I've tried em all.

Lorazepam, Alprazolam, Diazepam, Clonazepam, Flunitrazepam, Nitrazepam, Oxazepam, Temazepam, Bromazepam, through to the non-benzodiazepines, Zolpidem, Zoplicone and even a barbiturate, Phenobarbital.

^ I've tried more benzos and downers than you. Your list, plus lormetazepam, chlordiazepoxide, clorazepate, estazolam, loprazolam, prazepam, nordazepam, meprobamate and finally tetrazepam.

The only ones I never tried are nimetazepam, phenazepam, triazolam, midazolam and carisoprodol and a few fast acting barbiturates.

I wonder if anybody here has tried a Benzo called flutoprazepam? It's commonly prescribed in Japan and has even more muscle relaxant effects than diazepam at the same dose...

LOL at this i've done more benzos than you.

My list is pretty small: valium, xanax, temazapam and oxazapam - plus zolpliclone and zolpedium.

To be honest, i don't find that much difference in the benzos I have tried, they all do pretty much the same shit. apart from obvious differences in strength, they only have slight differences like xanax hits you harder, valium lasts longer and is a bit smoother, tamaz is just shit and wears of quickly and makes you tired, and oxazepam is close to identical to valium but maybe smoother and lasts a shorter time.

loulou reed from loulou's bar, we're talking about Australia here! LOL.

Which one of the benzodiazepines/barbiturates is/was your favourite to abuse?

Me too ay loulou. I really should of gotten some triazolam while I could of :(

Isn't meprobamate a barb brother?

No dicksizing contest here BL'ers

^ Sorry, I couldn't resist =D

My fave benzo is flunitrazepam, closely followed by nitrazepam and clonazepam. Nitrobenzos FTW!

Meprobamate isn't a barb, but it's close.

is there much difference in effects between barbs and benzos?

Also is it safe it mix benzos. say combine tamaz with valium or something like that?
