my mates ma bought an apartment there and said we could go there for free if we promised not to wreck the place lol

has its own pool and shit too which is nice

main inspiration for going would be that the weather here is shit and i like going to new countries, plus this area in southern turkey is unspoiled by north european tourists and lager louts, meant to be a few russians, and of course turks and kurds floating about however.

I'd love to be going to Cuba, all that sunshine and rum, sounds like heaven!

tbh im not even excited about going on sunday but im sure ill be in awe once i get there, staring out the window of the taxi or bus as usual!
 
Not even excited? Your life must be fan-fuckin-tastic at the moment then? If I was off abroad, anywhere on Sunday, i'd be absolutely delighted. I can't wait to get away.

Wonder what the restrictions are on how much I can bring home. This will be a deciding factor in me just taking a carry on backpack or a suitcase to put in the hold.
 
It's so expensive here, £2.50 sounds too good to be true but if it is that's amazing. I would bring as much back as I can. :)

Box of 25 Cohibas are $400 in the shops, or you can buy a box of fakes for £40.
Will just buy a couple real ones for personal use and a load of fakes to sell back here £30 a pop.

my life is far from fan-fucking-tastic spadey dear, i have however developed a mind frame to put things to the back of my head until they actually happen.. its probably because im a pretty impatient type and if i had to keep thinking about something fun that was going to happen sometime in the future id just frustrate myself. ill be like a kid in a toy store come saturday night ;)

yesterday in work i was being extra nice as it was "happy friday"
gave one of the lads my last fiver so he could get his lunch
looked after this old customer gave him some extra free of charge
when one of our biggest customers calls in and he gives me 100euro tip.
i spent about 60euro on beer dis morning and have 2 mates calling around for the day
both of them are on the dole and broke dis wend.
 
reminds me of snoo i had last wednesday on the boat back from wales, i was trying to buy a paper but only had 50 euro note on me, the guy said he could only give me my change back in sterling, i was a bit pissed off cos it means id have to change my money back and the paper would cost more than it should but this guy behind me in the queue just gave me a pound coin and said there ya go, dont worry bout it!

i was a bit taken as its not common for people to be generous like that, was nice :)
 
heh I've done that and had it done to me a few times.

I tell you what though, it thoroughly takes the piss in VietNam when you're 1000 VND short of paying for 3 coffees or 2000 short for your petrol. We're talking 3p in a country where you can bargain for anything and everything.
