Sniffer dogs

They will only sniff out things they have been trained for.

This

Yeah, by all means take the necessary precautions...
But don't out rule the fact that they can still smell it. They will probably go for the more prominent odour.

And i was talking about the chemicals that they were trained to smell sustanon, why else would you be worried about them? :P/QUOTE]

This too

Even if u put 10 baggys full off viniger, pepper, whatever over 1 pill the dog will still just as easyly be able to smell it as if it was just on the ground. Dogs smell is a lot different to humans. When we smell things it all blends together to make one smell. Ie if u have dirty socks in a room with some other smelly stuff we will smell it as one overall bad smell. A dog can and does seperate every single cent given off in that room (or in real life cases on people) Ie yes they will smell a fuck load of viniger, and pepper, but they will still get the scent from the mdma or whatnot and bust you. As i previously said just because your ideas have worked in the past doesnt mean they 'work'. You have just been lucky./QUOTE]

and people who do this I find amusing.

Completely shitting yourself when you see the sniffer dogs doesn't help either.

Just speaking from 8yrs of walking past the sniffers at practically every event I've been to in Sydney and observed.

One way that has never failed for people i know. Group of 10 or so, 9 have their gear on them, the 10th guy has NO drugs on him but reeks like weed. Before heading to the event, put weed in your pockets, smoke it, make your clothes stink like it but make sure you have nothing on you.

Dogs will smell weed first 9/10, so the worst case scenario is your mate gets searched and they find nothing whilst you all get away without even being looked at.

Seen it work and i swear by it. Not that i attend many festivals whatsoever, but mates have liked my concept and have tried several times with 100% success.

I tend to completely agree.

If you see the way they are trained, they are trained to detect very specific odours. It's like saying to someone learn French then speak fluent Spanish, being trained to seek a specific odour doesn't allow them to seek out every damn suspicious odour there is.

I mean, they think its a game so to say they are able to detect a large array of substances at whim is a bit far fetched.

if we ever goto a music fest, we triple sappy our gear, tie a string around it and chuck it in a bottle of sunblock. this works very well, except once we took so much junk we had to force it into the sunblock hole, and then couldnt get it back out, so we had to use a lighter to burn the bottle in half to get it out. we messed up like 3 toilets trying haha.

hahaha that's so freakin funny XD unfortunately the festival i VERY recently attended was a night-time festival so there was no excuse for bringing suncream, it would have just been a red-flag :(

thats why you dack it.

80% of the time in raves, they will confiscate stuff like that

If festivals started confiscateing suncream there would be a massive public outcry. With Australians having the highest rate of skin cancer in the world, the public wouldn't tollarate this.

raves are mostly indoors man, but we normally sit the sunscreen at the bottom of our bag, even if it got checked, they cant do shit if there is sunblock in there.

mdma cant really be sweated out in a form where its smellable to dogs, once you take your pills they break down in your stomach and go elsewhere, pills arent very strong smelling, most of a pill is fillers and binders, dog couldnt smell it from your sweat.

You know life sucks when your step-father is a coppa,
and even more when he says he's going to be patrolling stereosonic for a few hours...

He also said there is going to be bulk sniffers.. Better prepare yourself!
Guess perth was just lucky with parklife..

Oh nooooo!!! :(

most effective method would be just to have it inside the human body. find a girl to put it up her..

Definitely the best suggestion but trust me - ask first + don't spontaneously try this with strangers in the queue even if you've made polite conversation first 8o

Keep your pills in balloons in your mouth... if they alert to you, swallow

simple.

[EDIT: This is a harm minimisation website, this advice could get someone killed. Please think before you post. hoptis]

The cops say this for every music festival all the time, I feel alot of it is simply used as a scare tactic. I've attended many festivals in the past and plan to attend some more this festival season. But of all the times I go, I've never encountered a sniffer dog, let alone even seen one. I highly doubt there will be 'bulk sniffers' for stereosonic, not saying there won't be any sniffer dogs at all though. But personally I feel the dogs are just there to scare alot of people into not taking in any drugs at all, because the cops must obviously realise 95%+ probably of the drugs make it inside the venue anyway.

Sometimes the security will ask you to empty your pockets as your entering the venue when your showing your ID, ticket etc. The first time this happened I was unprepared and had a vial containing my drugs just sitting in my pocket (dumb, I know - but I'd never had issues prior). The security guy told me to empty my pockets, I pulled out my wallet and my phone. He pointed to the lump in my pocket where the vial was and said 'what's that?', I was shitting myself and just said 'its nothing'. The guy then just said 'go on, hurry up' and once I was inside it was such a relief.

Where do they actually have the dogs stationed? Theres so many people trying to enter the venue it's just not possible to get a dog to check every person. Do they have some at train stations or something? Maybe I'm just lucky but I've never had a problem. Having said all that perhaps they're increasing the amount of dogs and areas in which they'll be checking people this time round.

It's fucking rediculous they feel the need to catch people carrying personal quantities of drugs anyway, I see no logic in that. But like I said, I feel it's just a scare tactic and they don't actually genuinely think they're going to create a drug-free event, or even stop more then 5% of the drugs getting in for that matter. Hopefully this summer I don't have my first encounter with a sniffer dog. Store your drugs on you in a discreet location, look calm and try to stay amongst a large group of people.

Don't let the cops make you paranoid! Thats what they want, so you'll freak and not bring any drugs through stupid and potentially dangerous scare tactics.

Yer I do agree to that to some point, as I thought they had to notice the public if the presence of sniffer dogs were to be at a festival - relating back to the big day out OD
