Sometimes the police do things they should not. There always there when u dont need them but when u do need them where are they? They should go and catch real criminals and make our streets safer but no instead they just need to harass everyone else minding there own business. Ive been to a million festivals in Europe. I have never ever seen a cop at a festival. Why is this? Are Australians so much more violent?
Police presence wasn't near as bad as those pictures make it out to be. Wasn't bad at all then all of a suddent that stage hit capacity and so many people were trying to get in that I guess they just called them all there to keep it under control and safe. Only saw like 2 dogs throughout the day and that was on the walk in and even then there was a huge crowd pushing past them.

Turns out there wasnt any sniffers at stereosonic yesterday.. Atleast I dont think they were.
Got told there were none. As i got to the entrance this dog hops out of a police car infront of me and im trailing behind it and his cop. Then when I was lining up he was just walking around people didn't see him sniff at or stop for anyone.. Kept going right past me. I sometimes wonder if they occasionally bring yellow labs to these things sometimes who aren't trained at all :D

It's weird though, cause on the Stereosonic website they had the map of the Claremont showground's and it showed that there was only one entry/exit but infact there was actually two.
My mates went through the main entrance where apparently there were sniffer dog's and me and the gf went through the other where there were none.
Not sure why they did that before but who cares haha, got the flipper's thru
When I got sniffed out at a rave once they took me over to another dog and got the second dog to sniff me too - it was quite clear the second dog was not trained as it had no luck finding where my drugs where

I would have to say bra, cops aren't going to do strip search if you have a reasonable excuse as to why you may smell like drugs.
People wearing bra's usually have vaginas, that is a much safer place.

It's not a 'How to' thread guys so lets try and keep it away from hints and tricks to get past the dogs. Just remember the more you talk about it on here, the more attention they will pay to your methods.

The best way to get past dogs is to not take any drugs with you. If I can't get a hookup inside, I won't consume inside.

i went at 2:30 and just as im lining up to give my ticket and get my wrisband i get a text from a mate telling me there is dogs. 10 metres in front of me a dog is going back and forth just infront at the point just after you get your wristband. i was deliberatltly stalling giving the people my ticket to get my wristband because the dog was directly infront less than 10m infront of me at the time waiting for me to get my band and walk in. There was a bin infront of me and i was about to drop my shit in there but the cop moved the dog to the right to sniff someone and i quickly got my band and walked in and went behind the officer and strolled through, so lucky !

also what happens if you do get smelt at festivals? do they tak you outside to get properly searched ie pockets, shoes etc or do they do a basic pocket and pat down inside?

I posted a few threads back MY understanding of the rules.
You may be subjected to a pat-down on the spot. This is done where you stand.
If they wish to continue, they can take you to a private location (building, tent) and a police officer of the same sex can request you remove all your clothing down to bra/undies or briefs.
If they want to continue FURTHER they can take you to the copshop and have a member of the same sex perform a full strip search.
If they STILL wish to search further, they can request a cavity search, but this must be performed by a doctor. I have also heard that this must be done at a hospital.
Although, shtonkalot disagrees with me. He says one of his mates was completely strip-searched without having to go to a copshop. I don't know whether the information I have provided is wrong, or whether shtonkalot's mate was subject to mis-procedure, however this is information I have read from a respectable member of BL thread a few months ago.

Yeah, I've seen numerous people (of both sexes) strip searched in the tents that the police have set up near the entry to raves. Have never heard of anyone getting a cavity search.
me and and 3 mates have buried our selfs near the old oak tree in the Domain to beat the sniffer dogs on New Years Day, 3 foot underground in a an eski with 4 cases of VB, 17 pills, 2 grams of speed and an ounce of weed. We are now in day 3 and have 2.3 pills left, no speed, no weed and we are drinking melted ice
Two of my friends got strip searched at Defqon1 in Sydney at the event, in a tent - they even had to ift up their ball sack to make sure they weren't hiding em under there.
Just a question, not having a go at you, but if you go back to the original post of the thread it seems that the whole point of the thread IS to find ways to get past the dogs...?
