Sniffer dogs

I am curious if these dogs are trained to sniff out guns and/or explosives as well.

I am thinking of making a video where one guy is filmed being rubbed with pot while another guy puts a gun in his pants.
Both walk through sniffer dogs.
Pot guy gets pulled up while the the killer gets into the event.
Upload video to youtube.
Alert channel 7.
Watch the focus change to trying to find killers rather than self-pleasurers overnight.


This of course assumes that these dogs are not trained to sniff out guns.......

Doubt they are used to smell out explosives, prob would have special bomb dogs for that.

Good idea though, unless someone is caught with the gun :P

Even without a gun I think the same message could be obtained with a couple of bullets and a metal rod. But the bigger the gun the heavier the message for sure.

now all there is to do is to find a mate willing to shoot someone first so he is an actual killer and then carry the concealed weapon in a public place!

hmmm! I wonder if your mate would have access to youtube or channel 7 in his cell? ;)

No killing required. It's simple extrapolation in this demonstration. The point would be made purely by the fact that the one with the gun had access to the event. Even the simplest of minds would be able to see the connection.
Then again.......:(
 
Worth noting that one of the only upsides of the recent fires here in Victoria is the complete lack of police presence at events. Been to two big events recently and due to our overworked police force there's been nary a sight of police or their friends.

Thank goodness that they've got their priorities right and to me it proves that their presence at events is all about media coverage - rather then any results they may garner.

Priorities is really what it's all about isn't it?

Should we bust people who are looking to medicate themselves?
Or should we spend that time finding killers, robbers and rapists.
Seems insane that it's even a question in the modern world.

It would be interesting to see the amount of victimisation crime (burglary, robbery etc..) that occurs during one of these festival days.
 
from what i've seen lately, they've pretty much given up on events in melbourne. i went to an event on sunday a saw a few undercovers dragging people out but thats it - no dogs, no cars, nothing. same for a few weeks back
may have something to do with the venue as its pretty open up until the entry point. regardless, no complaints here

Undercovers at an event on Sunday? You serious?

I saw someone counting and straightening up a serious quantity of cash. Idiot.

I put the lack of presence at recent events due to priorities, and perhaps a settling period after the Perth issue. I wouldn't take it as a given for all events.
 
^ only saw one uniform at said event! and he was in the first class area, didnt see one other there all day!
 
Did not see one poochie at Sundays event. Did not even see one uniform LE officer when arriving. Did however see a few marked LE vehicles when leaving.
 
yeah i saw several unlucky people being escorted out of the venue by undercovers, no dogs, and only towards the end were there 2-3 uniforms getting round which had come in to assist another undercover with some bloke who was losing it.

Why would undercovers escort people out of a venue? Surely they'd just signal the uniformed officers as to not blow their cover?
 
Sounds more like security rather then undercovers. Based on the only uniform police presence being late whenthe crowd was dispersing, I doubt undercovers were around.
 
Ok guys, what are the odds of getting passed dogs with this:

3 Pills, two baggies & Two condoms.

Put 3 pills in first brand new baggie, clean that baggie.

Put that baggie inside the other baggie with some cinnamon, close and clean that baggie.

Put that into a condom, tie it closed, clean.

Put that into another condom, Tie that closed, clean.

They will search you, and if they can't find anything they'll let you go. I've never heard of or seen anyone being butt-searched. If the dog had it's nose all over your arse there might be suspicions though.

Last events i went to, people just put them in bags wrapped in bags and vag-smuggled.
