"Sneaking" MDMA Therapy?

Instead perhaps you should take like 90mg of mephedrone ... it shouldn't be enough to dilate your pupils but would definitely make it easier to talk about difficult subjects.

Ya thatll go over well... As soon as your therapist figures out youre on an illegal schedule I drug in there office they will not treat you its a huge liability for them they could get sued for everything they have.

I definitely want to hear how this plays out. It would be nice information to know if I ever start thinking about something like this.

here is what i would do. show up rolling, and have gum to chew so you dont jaw. take a smaller dose so you arent rolling face, and if he asks why your eyes are big, just say i went to the eye doctor for a checkup and they dilated my eyes. and bring sunglasses to help with your alibi. and unless im mistaken, arent therapists under doctor/patient confidentiality like a real doctor? and as many have said, how is he/she gonna prove it?

Taking drugs to enjoy them, OK.

Taking drugs to self-medicate, NO NO.

you do realize it was used as a marriage therapy tool when it first came around right? i think mdma is a great way to over come many things in this nature. now, if someone wants to use it like regular medication just to make themselves feel better, then yea thats not a good idea lol

There are so many reports from women who have been raped using MDMA with therapy. These women's lives were absolutely ruined and after treatment they started to cope with it better. MDMA isn't just a recreational drug. It can truly change a persons life for the better.

i agree. i think they should legalize it for therapy use, to be administered in the session, but not where they can write prescriptions for it. as for fully legalizing it, hell no but it would be very useful for therapy, as instances have shown, such as the ones you have referenced.

I wish I could do this myself, I feel like it would be really helpful because I have a hard time trusting psychologists enough to speak openly with them.

If you were to do it, you should definitely wait a decent amount of time (6 months about) so you trust them already. Dosing yourself with MDMA before you trust the person enough already is a foolish idea.

forget mdma just be a man and take some datura before you go

lol jk

Although the mdxx compounds do have amazing theraputic vaules; I myself was able to dig my self out of a bad depression through an mda experience, I do not recremend you do this. It's not like your going to get arested but not worth the risk.

This topic hits home to me....I myself suffered a tragic loss of my fiancee in Iraq. Curled myself into a bottle for comfort and then opiates for solace. Being a veteran myself, it further compounded my problems adding PTSD to the mix. I saw tens of therapists with no results and hours of psychotherapy. Until one therapist actually saw in how much pain and anguish I was in and recomended someone, a retired friend of his, that did it just to help people. took about 150mgs and from that day on I found closure, was able to clean up, went back to school and finished my degree in organic chem and neuroscience. I'd be a junky in the streets if it weren't thanks to MDMA therapy.

^ Oh wow.. that's amazing. I'm so sorry for your loss and misfortune...but happy for your recovery.

This is quite an old thread isn't it. Anyways, I thought about taking MDMA and going to my therapist, but I figured that it may make my therapist uncomfortable and compromise our therapist-client trust/respect. I would definitely ask before trying it.

This is indeed quite an old thread!

Honestly, most therapists make you sign a contract when you start with them that states that you will not come in to therapy intoxicated (including alcohol) and that if you do, they will end your session and send you home and may possibly terminate treatment. They have to protect themselves. If you were to get hurt or something were to happen to you while you were in their office, they would be help responsible.

It wouldn't surprise me to actually see therapists break patient confidentiality in cases like this and make a report with the police saying that you are a danger to yourself. Tread lightly if you ever decide to do something like this.
