"Sneaking" MDMA Therapy?

20 bux says you end up spilling the beans somewhere during the session that you took mdma. Haha, 'sneaking' and 'mdma' just don't fit together.

This.... is actually a very good point :P Definitely something I should keep in mind, especially if my master plan depends on that secrecy. And especially if I'm in a professionally-guided environment bent on making me as comfortable as possible being as honest as possible! Oh man I can see it now....

"Ok, Doc, I love you man, really I do, and---hey this couch is so smooth!---but there's something you gotta know..." :P

I think you have a good plan on feeling out the situation first. Although therapists are supposed to be neutral, they are still people and some have their own ideas of what is correct or ethical.

Best of luck to you! Keep us posted!

I would never suggest that you come to a session on E. It is not worth the risk to my license. Should you show up on on E there is nothing in my ethical/legal code that would require me to break confidentiality and turn you in or send you away. I would ask you to stay in my office until you returned to baseline. Should you leave the office and get in some sort of harm that would create a liability situation for me.

I hope you can find away to make this work for yourself. If you can't... take the risk and open up to someone anyway, it is worth it.

conversing with the doc, then, all of a sudden... "by the way, doc, your soooooo freaking awesome !" lol

Look, if you really wanted to do this then by all means don't tell the doc under any circumstances that you are under the influence of MDMA. Look gnarly as fuck if you want, but don't make that information explicitly available. I've rolled in front of my parents and held conversations with them plenty of times before. It's really not all that impossible. Just remember that in the context of the proposed situation telling everybody how awesome you feel does not necessarily reciprocate the good vibes. I'm sure they'd really rather not hear it. Either do this for your own earnest interest in making a breakthrough or don't do it at all.

If you expect some kind of breakthrough, it could be a stressful, tense situation. Go in with no expectations, is my advice.

I wouldn't do this just because something like this would really depend on the docs outlooks on drugs use and MDMA. If you could find a doc that would be willing to go with it (you'd have to know him, I really don't a random person risking their ass for this) than it would be awesome.

Too bad MDMA is schedule I, it really has so much potential that even under the current framework it should be treated as schedule I. I feel one-time MDMA use can truly change people's outlook on life and show them that everything is okay and there is no need to hate yourself or the world around you.

I'd just show up rolling. If he asks just deny, he can't prove anything, I really don't see a therapist ending a session because he 'believes' you might be high. Lol just google some disease/illness that gives you huge pupils. I'm no legal expert but I don't think he could get in trouble if he doesn't know your high, so if you deny it it would probably cover his ass anyways. I might be way off though lol

I'm pretty sure therapists have a record of your medical history, and they are also closely related to your family doctor.

Definitely -- my file says I've experimented with MDMA, so it's right there. Also, I think he'd notice pretty damn quickly the night-and-day change in my demeanor, even if I could explain away the dilated pupils.

My first appointment is March 1st, so I'll have a better idea then of how I feel about the therapist.

I would go for it if I were you, if by some chance he knew that you were rolling there isn't much he could do. Maybe the session before you wish to take the ecstasy, I would ask him/her what their confidential policy is, usually, they aren't permitted to tell anyone anything unless you are a serious threat to yourself or others, and in my opinion, a modest amount of MDMA doesn't constitute a threat to your well being.

DOOOO IT!

depending on how long it takes you to peak, take it so that you start rolling 1 hour before the session... spend that one hour collecting yourself, looking in the mirror to see how cracked out you look (you and i and know that E faces aren't pretty) and then walk in at 1 hour into your peak... spend the hour session talkin it out then leave and you still got another 1-2 hours of rollin! run down to the walgreens and take that bottle of xanax he prescribed you (because you were so convincing) and pop 2 bars, avoid the comedown and feel awesome! all your problems solved during an awesome roll with NO COMEDOWN! wooooooooooohhhooo sounds like a blast to me.

I woudnt ask if you can because legally he probably cant say yes. But maybe go in and be honest and tell him you have done alot of research about how mdma greatly helps ppl in therapy and how it used to be used for that all the time and was proven to help dramatically, and just tell him you took some before you came hoping it would help you as well. Having him be aware and knowing your going to be more willing to talk more openly about deeper stuff could help

I am looking to get help in this area and I have been searching like a mad man to find someone to help me. I suffer from PTSD, and I have alot of unresolved issues from my child hood that sneak into my personal life and destroy my relationships. I feel that MDMA therapy will help me. I need help finding a therapist, and if you use E and you are a therapist, I would pay you an arm and a leg to do 5 sessions with me so I can break through the other side.

You should research transpersonal psychology and find a counselor that has an emphasis on transpersonal therapy and different aspects of this field of psychology. I do not believe it will be difficult for you to find a therapist that is open to your consumption of MDMA. You just need to know what kind of therapist to look for.
