true but i meant health wise, if she really does actually need it
except she doesn't need it.

As it has been stated earlier not a lot of research has been done on this; but it is better to be safe than sorry.
If you don't get an abortion, I hope your child gets taken away faster than you close your slack-jaw.
So my girlfriend stopped smoking cigarettes about two weeks after finding out she was pregnant. When she found out she was pregnant she stopped smoking pot. We had a little rough patch (We weren't on good terms for about a month). But after mending things with her we are hanging out and she tells me she's been smoking pot. Now that wasn't really too alarming but I didn't really think it was a great idea. I don't want to debate if you can smoke pot while your pregnant my question is she thought that the blunt wraps (like royal blunt wraps and the zig zag ones) were made from some sort of plant material like I have no idea what she thought it was like cellulose or something. So after researching I come to find out that the blunt wraps are made into paper from tobacco pulp. I assume my girlfriend is at risk but I'm not really sure what are your guys thoughts?
a lil bit of herb while pregnant isnt that bad.
no need for all these crazy replies,
but try to limit her to 1-3 little smokes per 2 weeks.
taking a substance while pregnant is a horrible idea - one that brings no benefits but can wreck the babies chance of a normal life.
You never seen a women with bad morning sickness... Puking her mind out unable to hold any food down....
It is not like weed makes you want to eat more and stops you from puking.... never
You guys can cite whatever research you like, my personal opinion is that if you can't give up tobacco and weed for the welfare of your child during pregnancy, you have no business as a parent.
no benefits to the baby... which it seems obvious that i was talking about the baby.
sorry dude but what you just said is stupid.
weed is great, but it is not as safe as water. taking a substance while pregnant is a horrible idea - one that brings no benefits but can wreck the babies chance of a normal life.
seriously OP, if your girl is gonna continue down that road, just get an abortion.
no benefits to the baby... which it seems obvious that i was talking about the baby. if the woman cant handle the trials of being pregnant she should get an abortion.
actually there has been a good deal of research done on this (just go to google scholar and search "marijuana pregnancy"). the general consensus is that irregular use during pregnancy (especially early on) doesn't show statistically significant effects on birth weight, size or malformation. regular use during pregnancy among white women is correlated with a small but significant (i think 5.5 oz) reduction in birth weight, while not showing this correlation with non-white women.
definitely enough information to recommend against smoking pot while pregnant, but not exactly damning enough to justify some of the more self-righteous responses:
So your saying if a mother can not hold food down... and keeps puking... This wont affect the child? And if she Vape's some weed to feel better so she can eat and hold it down.... That wont help or benefit the child?

Please tell me your joking. Again are you a neo natologist? or even a OB doc.
There are a lot of alternative methods to getting rid or "hyper emesis gravidarium" = a condition that during pregnancy that causes extreame nausea and vomiting. I have never heard of a Doc saying " well the answer to all your problems is to go home and get blazed and get the munchies"
Plus that is not why the original poster posted.
No they just give you a prescription for a drug....
Than you have to go get it from the pharmacy...
But since it is a drug given to you by a doctor it means its okay....
Yeah your study shows no statistical difference in those catagories, what about the long term cognitive effects??? What about the infants possible dependency to that drug.
