SLR Social vs. It's on like Donkey Kong

Ex since March just got married to another guy. I thought I was over her and now I'm crushed. Blah. I hope it's just the w/ds talking.

All of my little sister's friends are getting engaged/married. I'm 22, she's 19. They're all religious and can't have sex until marriage, thus why they get married so quickly. My sis has more friends getting engaged/married than I do. And my friends range from age 22 to 35ish ... lol. And her's are all 19 to early 20s. Engagements last a couple months and then bam, married.

I feel like you need a good amount of time to know each other before getting married. Just my opinion. Sometimes quick engagements/marriages DO work out, I'm not saying they all don't. But I still think people should be getting to know each other first. I've been with my boyfriend for three years, lived together for one year, and have been having sex consistently for three years. We aren't married but I'd feel much more comfortable marrying him after we've done all that and been through three years (learned a lot about each other) than someone I just met. (I don't plan to get married for another few years, I'm only 22, but still!!!)

That's how I feel about it, that's why I hadn't asked her yet despite (one day short of) two years. In hindsight, good thing I didn't, I guess. I just wish it didn't take so much hurt to figure out!

God, why can't I just be tough like Clint Eastwood? ;)
 
Clint royally screwed his ex-wife sooooo hard lol. It's a great story to Google if you're unfamiliar with it.

I'm sending flowers at work to this girl I'm dating this afternoon. There's a funny little card with them too. She's 23 & in a selfish way I almost hope she's never gotten flowers before, so this will really mean something to her :\. But really I hope she's gotten many bouquets before. We have a date tonight, and I think it's going to end at my place with pizza, a few beers, and hopefully some sexual activities. Things are going quite well between us too =D.

He's a DJ and he's doing all llama requests. ( just for meeeee!!!!!! )
We're also going to do a llama-request night on this weekly show that he DJs on. WOOHOO! so excited for that, but I've got to find two hours worth of songs lmao. :)
 
Llama, that is so freakin cool. How fun that sounds!

In other news, I just realized that my period is a week late. Fuck. You would think that after being married for ten years and already having a kid that pregnancy scares would be a thing of the past...I guess not. Oh well. Since I am off all of those meds, there is really no rush to find out out one way or the other...I will wait until mid next week, and then if still nothing....
 
I know, he's the best. On his weekly show, probably in a couple weeks, it'll be all llama requests. I <3 him. Two hours of nonstop my favourite music? Not bad!!!

Ahhhh hate it when periods are late. Try not to stress because stress only makes it worse (makes your period come later). But just wait a little bit then set up an appointment with a doctor.
 
Ah yes...well, I did what always works...I changed my sheets. Without fail, if I change my sheets, my period always comes in the middle of the night.

Now I have cramps. Go figure. The sheet trick works!

Yeah, I would have been in tune completely IF it started when it was supposed to, one week ago. Cramps have now gone, no period in sight. Sigh. Almost every friend I have is pregnant right now. Sigh. If it doesnt come sometime tomorrow, I guess I will test on Monday. Sigh.

I have awesome taste in music (aka the same taste he has, and my fave DJs who he also likes). I'm obviously just requesting a ton of songs and he'll put them all together how is best, miss whichever doesn't fit, add what needs to be added.
