Ola! I have been lurking for a long time, decided to finally join as it seems this thread has nearly coincided with an experience I had last night! Although I don't (read can't) regularly take stimulant drugs, last weekend I decided to party with a friend. Long story short, Friday I had 125mg of 5-APB, followed by two consecutive nights of MDMA use (maybe a gram in total). This was coupled with daily Piracetam dosing (3500-4000mg twice daily) and some Etizolam at the end of every session (which again I don't use regularly).
On Tuesday I drank a lot of strong cider and pretty much passed out, but was otherwise feeling fine. This isn't to boast about how I was largeing it, just to put into perspective what may have upset my brain and caused what happened on Wednesday night. I was feeling a bit spaced out (as one would) and decided to sleep. I was experiencing slight hearing abnormalities - the closest I can describe it to you is like a pulsating bass like sound, however this was not extreme enough to stop me sleeping, and years of headphone misuse (worth it?) have left me with slight tinnitus anyway.
I woke about an hour after sleeping, and I could not move. I could see a tall figure at the top of my bed, moving his arms slowly. I couldn't make a sound, I couldn't move and I was shitting it for want better words. I was trying to convince myself that it wasn't real, but I could clearly see him although I couldn't describe exactly what it looked like. I was trying to scream for my flatmate, but I couldn't make a sound. After about 30 seconds, slight movement came back to my fingers and I managed some weak sounds that to be honest just probably sounded more like OTT wanking than a cry for help! After I regained full movement, the figure melted back into the coats hanging on my door that my bed faces and although I was still on edge I consumed 4mg of Etizolam, left a lamp on and managed sleep.
I have only ever experienced something similar before, but there were no hallucinations, simply a feeling that my brain had woken before my body. I have read of something similar in conjunction with Piracetam usage, minus the hallucinations, owing to the supposed brain stimulating properties of the drug. I would like to hear from people who have experienced this regularly, and how they dealt with it! Might give your technique a try if it happens again Treacle! Also, any Piracetam users here ever noticed correlation between this phenomenon and your usage of the drug? I have been taking about 7g daily for a week as an "attack dose" and have dropped to 2g today. Apologies for the self centred rambling! Not a regular occurrence
