Shroom Season 2008

Why is this topic dying? There was so much hype in my local about 2 weeks ago but now it's dead and noone cares. Is it just a shit season or what? I know we have to wait a little bit longer up here etc. but it seems you guys aren't having much luck either.

Let's get going on finds etc. Give me something to be jealous over!
 
found a few hundred in a forest north west of melbourne yesterday aswell as heaps of pins so theyre definitely out. the next heavy rainfalls should bring them out everywhere.
 
Went up to my patch today in Southern Tassie, rained a bit two days ago and found about 50-70 but nowhere near the usual amount/potency.
Still just that touch to dry, but fingers crossed for more rain!

Patches aren't yet in full flight but i'm still getting hundreds so be jealous %)
 
Just came back from my batch 10 miutes out of the CBD in Northcote.

Not too shabby got about 50 including the biggest shroom i have ever seen!! shit me that caps meaty as fuck and about 9 cm in diameter ;)

You got to be quick in these patches around the city, already come across a few bogans foraging for the precious fungus.

The way i look after my patches is to leave every 5th mushroom so it spawns more and also using scissors to cut them at the bottom of the stem rather than tear them up and fuck up the root system.

Anyone know if the dandenong ranges have shrooms? im considering a trip up that way for a hunt.

The last few days im loving low dose trips, like 3-4 shrooms and it makes everything shiny/glowing, puts you in a good mood and makes you realize things you didnt see before, but you can still interact and act normal and have way better conversations just a bit more giggly!
These high dose trips are good once or twice a year but for the most part i get fucked up anxiety :(

WA season has started. I went down south and collected 140 shrooms. first time aswell and they are godamn tasty.
 
The weather is finally turning it on this week for Sydney... I'm definitely off for a hunt this weekend and will report back
 
any new from brisbane?

there has been rain for the past 4 days and only just cleared up

How funny. I was down there this weekend aswell and everywhere i looked for shrooms there were fucking Emu Bitter cans and upturned shrooms. As well as on the property we were staying at.

Indeed i was unsuccessful on my journey to Balingup this weekend. What a weird "coincidence" hey :X
 
I feel sorry for w.a hunters. That'd suck having one main spot where they grow and i hear it's watched closely? Even worse when dickheads tear the patches up and leave rubbish everywhere!

Hasn't rained for a week in s.w vic and i'm still getting a decent amount of subs!
 
So how long does everyone think the season is going to last in Melbourne, I trhink I got go out again before it's to late.
 
as a total shroom noob would I be correct in saying the only worthy ones to find around sydney (at the moment atleast) are:

Psilocybe australiana
Psilocybe eucalypta
Psilocybe subaeruginosa?

I know id have bugger all chance of being able to accurately identify em atm but is that the ones one should be looking for?
