sizzle: while a waterless bong can increase the speed of smoke, i think the cooling effect of water is very important to being able to hold the hit in for the proper amount of time. especially for novice smokers who will probably cough their lungs out
I admit I did cough briefly on the best hit. Maybe the problem was the stuff I bought. It actually wasn't pure salvia 40x. The package said salvia 40x with lobelia extract, nicknamed "horse killer". It did say it was a standardized extract with at least 0.16g of salvinorin a..... which seemed like more than enough for at least a couple trips, but I am very suspect now because the guy at the store tried to rip me off today, buy passing off damiana as salvia 80x.
I went back to the shop I bought the stuff at, told the guy it didn't work, so I was thinking of trying a pipe to smoke it instead. He said maybe I have high tolerance and I should try 80x. I asked how much, and he said $20 for one gram. In my head, I was like, holy jeez, that sounds like an awesome deal. I asked to see the product. The product clearly said, "dami-dagga" and reading further it said "damiana extract" and there's a picture of some big yellow flower which is clearly not salvia, and the package said it comes from Africa, which is also not salvia. Nowhere on the entire package did it mention salvia, or even 80X!!!!! I told him "this isn't salvia, it's damiana", and he said, "yes it is, it's just sold under a different name". I looked skeptical for a second and said, "are you sure?", and he said "I'm positive. It's all the same shit from the same company under different names." Luckily even I wasn't stupid enough to buy it, I said I'd go home and google dami-dagga and if the product was salvia like he said it is, then I would buy it. Of course, I went home and looked it up and damiana is a completely different substance and not one that I would want to smoke anyway, as it is harsh and tastes like shit.
Seriously, he must have thought I was a complete idiot!! To buy a product that's supposed to be salvia and it doesn't even say salvia on the package. That's like if you're shopping for corn and someone gives you a package that says rice on it and they try to convince you it's corn. The hell.
Well, I'm just mad bc I believe I got ripped off. I'll let ya'll know how it goes after I get my stuff from salviamonster.
