Ethnobotanicals [Salvia Subthread] Extract 60X Strength

I have done 80x on multiple occasion, its really the only psych I have done in a year. I was just gone and away, I honestly had incredible time lapses, and had to have a sitter. My friends did it as well. Also, I once did it in a room with flowers on the wall(oh wait doesn't matter you can't even see reality anymore, much less perceive what a flower is.
 
Prepare for an intense trip (anyone who does salvia that is above 40x).

It will be very intense and you won't know where the hell you are. You go out of reality on that shit.

I have done 30x and it was a decent trip/experience. But 60x was just fucked up. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone. I've done PCP before, this is up there with being one of the most fucked drug moments I've had.

It's legal here and they sell up to 80x. That's the biggest I've ever heard of. My friend did 80x and he thought he was in a leaf pod for 5 minutes. That shit is fucked up. It's good for one time, not twice or five times.
 
I have done it 4 times in the 4 months. But, I have been in the best mindset of my life the past 4 months as well.
 
I showed the shit to my dad and told him im gonna smoke some and try to open a present, after it kicked in I started drooling laughing my ass off, and my dad kept shoving gifts my way, and im freekn out holdn my head feels like im a transformer .

I'm sorry but this smells like bullcrap. Normal salvia leaf has an average of 1mg salvinorin per gram. So you're saying that this 60X has like 60mgs of salvinorin per gram?
That's 120 doses in a gram. 8mg a dose of 500mg salvinorin.
It would be impossible to dose without using a precision scale. And if you're going to use a precision scale... why don't you just smoke pure salvinorin crystals?
And if you need to smoke one lungful (or three!!!!) of this to achieve effects, then you KNOW you are being ripped off.
I can go to salvialand with 6X, and you can even do it with normal leaf.
 
I have visited relatives in Alabama and I doubt salvia is looked upon kindly there!
 
I found that for me (somewhat of a hardhead) an ice water bong hit of 130-180mg of 30X is enough for a ass raping non-reality experiance, bordering on the level of amnesia.

Thats my favourite range to be honest... but sometimes small hits can offer the most perspective :)

I know sourcing is not allowed... but alot of the salvia on the net is bullox.

I am under the impression the # and then X means nothing unless specifically stated to be "standardized".

i've seen "200X!!!" on boardwalks but pass that shit cause its a joke.

The term "standardized" Refers to lab grade extract.

20X standardized mean that 19grams of salvia has had its main active ingredient extracted(salvinorin A & maybe B) and poured over one gram of saliva leaf, hence the 20 X standardized.
 
Salvia 60x dosage

Hey, I'm wondering how much (in mg) of 60x salvia should be smoked for an optimal experience.

Apparently a gram of salvia leaf contains about 2.5mg of salvinorin A multiplied by whatever potency it is (in this case 60).

So 1g of the salvia I have purchased contains about 150mg of salvinorin A.

An active dose is 200-500mcg of salvinorin A, so let's say 500mcg, giving us roughly 300 hits of salvinorin A in 1g of 60x salvia leaf.

This tells me that an active dose of 60x salvia leaf is roughly 3.4mg.

I feel like I'm missing something, but my math seems correct, so could anyone shed some light on how much I should smoke?

P.S. Shop owner says it contains around 8 hits meaning 125mg of salvia leaf, which equates to 18.75mg of salvinorin A, which seems absurdly high.

P.S.S. I've seen a 60x salvia package that says use 500mg of leaf, which is also ridiculously high

I put 125mg of 60x salvia into a shotgun pipe and took 2 massive hits.

When you use other substances you tend to run into a brick wall and say, "I'm so messed up.", but the brick wall moves toward you with salvia and you're not quite sure as to what just happened. I was quite surprised (after the trip of course) how fast it hit me. It was definitely a good experience, which I'd like to describe as 'interesting'.

I enticed my friends to try salvia, but only a couple of them got lost in another world, including myself. I've learned that how you hit it is extremely important, and I mean extremely important.

i dont think the market is standardized as much as you might wish,
ive never had a problem breaking though on 20x and "the biggest bong rip you can possibly hold". one bowl, one hit, burn it all, hold it till it hits.

Your math is right, but do account for the fact that not all of the material is delivered as vapour. Some of it burns, some is lost as smoke, etc.

Generally 100-200mg of 20x is as strong as most people need to go. The higher concentrations have a tendency to produce amnesia and profound distortions of reality.
 
That is horrible advice. Dosage with salvia is important like it is with other strong psychedelics, it can just be more tricky but that doesn't mean you should just dive in hard.

Just read the many reports from people who thought: "this is legal, how strong can it be? let me just try some random bowl hits" and definitely got hit, as if with a baseball bat.

With Salvia, try to keep your smoking technique as consistent as possible and start low. Then slowly work your way up with gradual steps (= titration). Burn your bowls well so that residues don't stack up.
Do this and you shouldn't get surprised too extremely.
Calculating salvinorin quantities like you did gives you a good starting point. What reason is there not to assume it is as potent as advertised and start off with only a few milligrams? You only have to wait a couple of minutes before you can go a step higher with your doses. I don't get what is the hurry or ignorance that makes people handle salvia so differently from say DMT? The unreliability of success? That is only temporary until you are "success"ful.

I think many people get more than they were asking for because the tea or herb like appearance makes them think of smartdrug herbs like damiana, or otherwise perhaps cannabis. None of which can be as deeply unforgiving.

If you happen to get weak product that is nowhere near actual 60x strenght, it will only have cost you a little time and a quantity of salvia that I suggest is worth sacrificing for avoiding something you can't take back.

Though it's also worth mentioning that you cannot keep smoking salvia in slow increments in the same sitting until you get high - tolerance builds quickly - but it is also a short-lived tolerance that vanishes after a day or two.
 
20x is generally sold as 72mg salvinorin A. I've used it like 10 times. Always the same dosage which is 0.1 gr. That alone is enough for me to experience like pontifex01 said;

But you need to do it right. Torch lighter is a must for salvia extract. Extract must be burned instantly, not slowly. Then of course you need to hold that thick smoke like 20 seconds. If you really do it like this, I can assure you by the time you are at 16, you'll begin to realize something is happening. Then the familiar pins and needles, short time after a total shift of reality.

two possible explanations....

1 - you got shit gear

2 - you used the srong kind of pipe, you really need a large chamber so you get a solid lungfull, a bong with no water is best.
I thought i was a salvia hardhead first few times i tried it, then i attached a plastic bottle to my crappy wooden pipe and broke through
 
Well I'm glad others chimed in before I did because I'd say 100mg-200mg of 60x would be a good dose.

But then by good dose I mean what Solipsis refers to as being "hit, as if by a baseball bat". Instant teleportation to another dimension with no memory of who or what you are, no concept of time (and I do mean NO concept of time, a heavy trip will feel, on the come-down, like having lived hundreds of years as an entirely different, semi- sentient entity in another dimension), and just the most unreal experience you could possibly have.......

great post ^^ I can't even imagine. 100mg of "20x" was as strong as I could fathom using stuff obtained in 2000 from a very special source at that time.
