Rolling and driving messes with heads.....

lorenzo_benzo: I don't want to turn this into a shit slinging contest but you realy should reconsider your statements.

Personaly I have never driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs, I have always had some sleep before driving myself and my _dear_ friends home from parties and festivals. I have occasionaly speed by small amounts and have always been very aware of the danger I was putting people into.

What you fail to see is that you have valuble life experience laid out throughout this thread by people who are trying to express how you could avoid mistakes they have made or seen made. I just realy wish you would listen to some of it......

(but isnt this situation such a cleché.... if everyone listened to such advice these type of accidents would not occur)
 
seems to me that lorenzo benzo likes the way his life is, and his attitude towards it. and we're helpless to change it cos he doesnt want to be changed.

so instead, when accused of stupidity, he blames his friends and and thinks that'll be a good enough reply.

^ i blame myself for being a dumb ass, and speeding, and doing drugs. Obiously nothing has ever influenced u before, cause ur so perfect. I thought we were alowed to make mistakes, but i was wrong according to u. I was trying to be sincere, and truthful, and trying to get accross that my actions were wrong, and that i wouldn't do speed under the influence. But apparently thats not good enough, instead i should crash my car and die, so u get the satisfaction that you were right... WTF do you want from me?

I fucking apologised to everyone on this forum, and told you about some recent incidents that have occured + the fact that I'm not gonna speed after the influence of stims. Fuck, u think i really am happy with my life? Think again.

Mate, I don't think any of us want you to die... that's the whole reason for our outrage. I have read all of your posts and I personally think you're actually a good person; everyone gets involved with their own social groups who have their own psychology and influence.... shit happens.

But you are intelligent enough to think for yourself.. and maybe you could even be a positive influence on your friends. I don't think you deserve any more beating up in this thread, you *have* been sincere and truthful and that is admirable.

Be careful, go slower
 
^ Strawberry lovemuffin - thankyou for understanding and your support. & don't worry i'll take your advice and others, since this forum is about harm reduction, not only for drugs, but also for other situations. Maybe i can be the stronger person in my group and influence my friends aswell (hopefully) to drive safely. Your right, its social influence, when we driving, my friends drive fast, but next time i won't, so well see who arrives back safely. BTW i value life more than anything in this world, i don't want to be responsible for the death/harm of my friends or others and be classified as a killer. Next time i think i'll bring some chill music, and some weed, so we can all relax and cruse back to the crib in one peace. Sorry for being inconsiderate...
 
lorenzo_benzo: Respect! My friend Im glad your getting it now, I understand that threads like this can feel _VERY_ persecuting (Ive been there...). Peoples reaction are for your well being, mainly because people here do care and do try to help out when they can. Some times that help is not welcome or misconstrued, however I think that in your case your starting to dig the idea's trying to be conveyed to you.

Lorenzo, as I said in my initial post, I was being facetious and my problem is with the behaviour, not with you. I'm glad you've taken in what was said here :)

P.S. By the time you graduate I'll have left the country permanently ;)

Whenever I have a friend who thinks it might be ok to drive whilst drunk/rolling/not in a fit state to do so, I ask them what they'll say to the parent of the 4-yr-old that dies as a result of their irresponsibility.
If you look at it like that, its easy to make alternative travel arrangements... no matter how far you need to go.
 
Illegal drugs may be a victimless Crime, but driving on drugs certainly has the potential not to be.

I frequently make a point of driving if I'm out with some friends taking pills.

For some reason, my physical reflexes & reaction time are not affected by pills. My driving style does not change when I take them (well maybe the stereo is on a bit louder ;)). Whilst rolling, I have driven people who were completely sober, and they have noticed this too.

I have friends who sometimes drive when on pills, and they are not very good at it. So recently, I have started driving everywhere so no one else has to. Catching taxis is just too expensive in Sydney, The 4 or 5 friends I roll with live all over - in total we could spend $250 on cabs alone!

You may call me an idiot for driving whilst on pills, but I think it's pretty safe. Plus I drive a softtop, and it's really fun =D


btw, I never drive whilst drinking, as this is just plain stupid.
 
Or your friends parents if you are in an accident and kill one of them......

Nonsense. There has been extensive research proving that amphetamine (including MDMA) use impairs reaction time and steering ability. I suggest that you've just been lucky so far. The only difference between drink driving and drug driving is a number of very expensive public education campaigns ("bloody idiot" etc.) In any case, drug driving test will soon be introduced across Australia so you'll have to stop, or cop very severe penalties.
 
btw, I should that I would never do it whilst peaking, or for the first hour after the peak.
 
You think your in control and you feel your reaction time and vision is just as good as ever, some people think they are even more in control 8), because your intoxicated and your judgement is impaired.
