TMNT were a fad. where can you buy the Ninja Turtle Pizza Thrower or blimp these days?
now kids are into 'Tickle Me Elmo' and 'Furby' .. two other ridiculous fads.

i had i mood ring, they were cool, mine was always blue or dark purple i remember.... no idea what that meant.

never had a tamagochi (too much effort ;))

slap bands were cool too, i had a lot of them...

hypercolour t-shirts... i remember em, dont think i ever owned one though.

oh yeah, and i totally agree with Mean Girl about 'Grip ball' being one of the most stupidist products ever.
 
I have a pink slapband on my desk lamp I got it from a free Sub Zero promo night at the pub a few years back, when they introduced a water melon flavour or something....
 
The TMNT game on the NES rocked :)

Where you had to dismantle the bombs underwater and you could defeat rocksteady by being Donnatello and standing at the top of the ledge and hitting him with the end of the staff.

Ah yes, the perks of Donnatello were unsurpassed.
You'll also notice on the tape cover there's more photos of he than any other turtle.

Ninja Turtles are still kool. last year i bought a box set of the 2003 episodes. Donatello is a hell nerd ninja turtles always playing with his electronic nerdy bulshit, raphael is the best. also casey jones is kool.
yesterday i bought one of those hardback sorta posters of the tmnt standing in this alley looking all tough, now all i need is a good wall

I still have this, I could never beat the part where you got in a turtle mobile and had to use the Rope...
 
As one of the few (?) under 18 year olds here I would just like to add the fads that affected me

I never had real grip ball ... only imitation gripball that used sub-standard velcro. It was like trying to catch a tennis ball with a dinner plate.
