Remixes of old rock songs

There is also a steve lawler remix by yes. Also one of Phil Collins' easy lover that rocks. That Money for nothing kicks ass. I just recently heard a good remix of new years day by U2. And one by simple minds 'don't you forget about me'. There really are a ton of these records coming out every week. I just read about one of Shannon's 'let the music play'. I've also got as one of my favs. The JunkieXL remix of Rod Stewarts 'do you think i'm sexy' which i absolutely love.

This stuff does get people moving in the clubs. As they know the song and it reminds them of good times. So they get happy and start dancing ans singing...It's beautiful.

1200 mics' version of money for nothing by Dire Straits - acid for nothing
(i know that has already been posted but the tune is a blast!!!)

Perplex's version of seek and destroy by Metallica - kiss and destroy

Skazi's version of smells like teen spirit by Nirvana - smells like humos spirit

^^^^ That same cd includes Skazi's remix of satisfaction by Benny Benassi, which is what Benny would have achieved if he had taken some vitamins the day he made that tune ;)

i love remixes of old rock songs(except pink floyd, people usually end up fucking it up) but i hate when rap artist sample old songs like that, they are doing it just for money, because they know it will probably be a hit.

you mean the remix of owner of a lonely heart? i thought max graham did that?

I do believe that there is a steve lawler remix. I think DD played it on their essential mix in August. Cool song but a bit drawn out.

Agree, peolpe should only atemtp to mess with such classic jewels if they got what it takes to deliver something good.

just bumping this because i heard a house version of "you shook me all night long" last month. It was semi-ok, might be entertaining in a set. I don't know the title or remixer though. Personally, i'd rather hear a remix of "I'm on a highway to hell" at a rave... hehe...

there is a great new white label that came out last week that is a remix of Pink Floyd's - Another Brick in the Wall.. sick sick sick track!!!!

I just got a 3 trk promo with Def Leppards - Pour Some Sugar On me and it is absolute garbage but the B-side cut # 1 is a breaks remix of "In A Dream" , cant remember but I think the sample came from Rockell or something, was a big record back in like '95 or so... but the remix is tight

This is kinda old (3 years I think) It's a DJ Icey remix of Blue Oyster Cult's: Dont Fear The Reaper, I dont really care for Icey, but the remix is pretty dope.
